It's hard to get these because it only spawns a couple of hours but I just kept checking it every time I went by and I finally got them. Great gloves if you can get them early enough!

This glove pattern and the rare Gem-Studded Leather belt pattern are sold by Rikqiz. His shop is on the upper level of Booty Bay (28,76) next to the Master Engineer's house. Dizzy "One-Eye" hangs out beside this shop. The pattern sells for roughly 5g on the Horde AH on Eredar server.

I wouldn't say it only spawns every couple of hours, though it may take that long at times. So far it seems that the vendor only sells either this or Recipe: Gem-studded Leather Belt, as I've only seen 1 of them at a time.

I waited around about 45 minutes for these two patterns with no luck, then decided to log out and check back later. Over the next 2 hours or so I bought 3 of these and 2 recipes for Gem-studded Leather Belts (it was in the early morning).

Good luck locating this NPC amidst the maze that is Booty Bay. I might still be searching for Rikqiz, except that my hunter can track humanoids. However, even after locating him, I do not have the recipe. I did pick up the one for Gem-studded Leather Belt, which has since respawned. I guess my only choice is to hang out indefinitely, and will report back if and when am able to secure the Shadowskin Gloves recipe.

One minor thing is make sure you do not do what i did the last 20 minutes and leave the "buy-item" window open expecting them to appear. Did this twice leaving the window open for a long time now and each time i closed it and reopened the window the patterns were there. Guess this goes for all limited supply spawns.

This is just to consolidate Information He Is at (28.46, 76.02) Booty Bay top floor on the Northern Half. If you hit the BlackSmith you've gone to far. It's almost directly above the neutral ah. He will spawn Both and . The spawn range is from 20 minutes to 2 Hours. Both are good plans. As with all Limited Supply Items if you leave the window open they will spawn and you will not see it happen. you must close window to refresh vendor.

took me forever to find him but once I got there he had the pattern for the gem-studded belt, I bought, closed the buy screen, read these comments, checked him again and the pattern for for the gloves was there

I was doing a lot of leatherworking this weekend in BB and saw this pattern pop up a couple of times. It seems to alternate with the Gem-Studded Belt pattern.

From Entrance, take your first left, find Dizzy and it's in the next shop.

I think the gloves are a 6hr spawn.
And i think belt is a 1hr spawn.

shadowcat hide drops from the shadowmaw panthers in STV, near to the tribal leatherworker. over river from ogres south of grom.

These are great gloves but farming Shadowmaw Panthers take awhile. I found a bunch of them in the hills East of Bhag'Thera, beyond the goblins' camp on the river, just West of the Ogre Mound. There are about six or seven panthers (lvl 38) with about fourteen tigresses (lvs 37 & 38). They respawn fairly quickly and the drop rate looks to be about 9-10%. Took me about 90 minutes with my 36 Hunter. Oddly enough, the panthers only show up on the mini-map with Track Beasts on when they appear, so unfortunately that was no help in tracking them. Used Flare many times but never caught one that way either. The tigresses drop Tiger Meat and of course skins, so for a Hunter/Skinner, this is an ideal assignment. One caution - not one of the Shadowcat Hides dropped; they were all skinned. Don't know if this would be true for non-skinners killing them.

for those who dont want to spend ages lookin for him w/ only "hes next to some guy" for direction when u enter BB from STV u have 2 options...stairs or a left turn...take the left turn and he is in the third shop

WOOOHOOO....I guess I got lucky with this. Read the forums on how to find this guy....opened up his inventory and nothing at first....I waited about 30 minutes and opened it up again and there was the pattern for the Gem-Studded Belt....waited another 15 minutes and got the Shadowskin Gloves pattern :) YAY!

Just popped by after seeing this pattern on Ravencrest AH for 3-4 gold... (cause im so cheep), and there it was.. Nice way to save 4 gold.

i just got the recipe off of rizqik in BB at 6:15 PM CST.... i was looking for the gem-studded belt recipe and this one popped...

Usually the recipe will spawn like every 10 minutes... At least for alchemy it does...

Yeah, I just went and tried to pick this pattern up, got it first time. Was around 2:30am.
Personally I think this is well worth any loss of stats from other gloves. Armour can be patched if you're a leatherworker anyway.

Also, fantastic wasy to make small gold. I just check Rikqiz every time I'm passing through booty bay, and usually he's selling either this or the gem-studded leather belt. It'll cost ya about 30s to buy the recipe, and it can be sold on AH for 2g pretty easy.

I just got this pattern at 1:39am. Funny thing is, when I bought it, it didn't disappear from the vendor, so I clicked it again and I bought another one without knowing. Now I have two patterns, both bought at the same time. Is this a glitch?

Here is a simple observation if you ever need ANY patterns.

The first 3 hours after the servers come back up from maintenance is the time to get your patterns.

I got this pattern in Booty Bay and two more in Undercity and one in 1000 needles. All just 45 minutes after the sever came back up from the weekly Tuesday maintenance. No need to camp and hope the pattern spawns. Tuesdaye! Tuesday! Tuesday!

All right, so I'm running around all over WoW trying to get the ingredients for about an hour, spent 5g+ buying ingredients, and sit for SO long waiting for the pattern. So I go down to good old IF to see if there's a lvl 200+ lw anywhere nearby, and I see this in the trade chat: "WTS 3.5g." ...

Good gloves though! =D

Looky here, I bought 2 Pattern: Shadowskin Gloves at the same time right before the server went down. I tryed a 3rd time, but the item wasn't found. A glitch... Shouldn't it have just offered 1?

Then I waited less than 5min, and the Pattern: Gem-Studded Leather Belt was there; but it only offered one of those. No luck there.

Horde? is there a vendor for the horde...i might be wrong becosue he is nutreal to me maybe a rep thing..i have no clue but i would REALLY like to know i done want to spend 8g on the patttern and id also like to sell them so if anybody has any insight plz post :D

So I slept on the hammock for an hour starting at 7:30pm server time, nothing there initally. I checked almost every single minute until 8:20 server time when the Gem Belt pattern spawned. Since I was really just seeking the gloves I stuck around, and I was delighted to see them pop only 6 minutes later.

I'd have to guess based on my experience that these are both on a 1 hour spawning rate.

Or your Rep with BB might not be high enough yet. Just like prices come down at merchents when your rep gets higher, so might items show up at higher rep lvls that weren't there at the lower.

I have been hangin around this guy for a few days now (havent directly camped on him for more than 2 hours at a time). I have got the Gem-Studded Leather Belt pattern 4 times but have yet to see the Gloves pattern.

Rikqiz always seems to have the belt pattern but it took two weeks of almost-daily visits during the STV quests for this to turn up. So it will eventually turn up. Is it worth trying to make the gloves or just sell the pattern? Hmmmm.
