I got lucky, after about 15 mobs or so, I got the pattern. So it does drop :)

The drop rate on this must have been increased in a patch recently. They have been flooding the market recently. Of course I didn't realize until after I had bought 2 at the old inflated price. 0.0

Took my level 84 warlock to Burning Steeps and killed anything with the "Thaurissan" title using the macro:

/cleartarget
/tar thaurissan
/stopmacro
/cast Bane of Agony
/run SetRaidTarget("target", 6)

In less than an hour I had 3 Cindercloth Cloak & 1 Cindercloth Pants pattern (along with assorted greens and rubbish).

Knowing there's only one type of mob to grind for this item, I have taken to grinding these mobs.
Indeed, after a few runs across the ruins, I finally found the pattern :)

Took about 45 mins..farming these buggers..but both the pattern for the pants as well as the cloak dropped.

wohoo! it drops from the thaurissen firewalkers but you'll notice there's only a few so you have to kill some of the spies and agents so that the firewalkers will respawn in their place. dont only kill firewalkers and wait for a respawn. good luck.

Was about to give up but got it after 2 hr. I hope you need this for yourself better yet I hope you need it and do enchanting. disenchants into large brilliant shard illusion dust and Greater etheral essence saves you a ton in ah good luck

First time I killed a few flamewalkers and got the pants pattern drop. Second time, killed 2 flamewalkers: got the pants pattern off first and cloak pattern off second. Dumb luck?

I've killed 60 something Firewalkers; gotten the cloak twice and the pants once now.

I'm on Spinbreaker US, Horde, send a mail or tell to "Narse" if interested.

After an hour of killing dwarves, I've gotten three green drops but no pants.

Dropped from ~5-6th firewalker. Had to kill other dwarves to force firewalkers spawn.
