Prior to patch 2.3, this item gave 24 bonus fire damage and had a random enchant. It now gives 20 bonus damage to all schools of magic and still has a random enchant. This is arguably a buff since it makes it useful to more classes/specs.

this would be a good ring for any caster, seeing as it increases damage done by MS&E. though tough to farm, if any caster gets this and has good gear, they will be deadly in BG

This drops from the first mini boss in UBRS. He is a Fire Elemental mob (cant remember his name). but it is a random drop. The 1 I have is +9 Int. Its a nice pvp ring.

it s same enchant, 6 of 2 stats for example, only fire dmg got raised by 3.
Not a huge upgrade yet a welcome one

If there was a stamina one I would use it over Zanzil's Seal eagle: no thanks, absolutely no use for the intellect at this stage in the game.

Minor buff, VERY minor buff. Basically +3 fire damage from what I can see, doesn't make an item go from green -> blue :/

Flaming Band of the Eagle: best green item that you may still see on lvl 60 mages ;)

Pretty good ring for fire mages and warlocks, although the stats are not that good.
I first got one "...of the Owl", but I didn't had a use for it, so I sold it to a vendor.
The second was one "...of Concentration", I think the rarest version of this ring, and used it for some time.
Finally, it dropped one "...of the Eagle", so I destroyed the second and took the third.
I also saw versions of this ring "...of Intellect" and "...of the Whale". Heard rumors of a "Spirit" one.
