I would make another totem b4 you you toss it for those rare times when you want to help a friend kill Blazerunner... or if you just want to kill him for drops.... it is nearly impossible without it

I tried to create a second totem today, but after killing this slush puppy, no second rod apeared in my bag.

I'm gonna take some good advise,

and "tos" it :-)

Since it is tagged as Unique, you can not get a new one unless you use or toss the old one.
But after you have completed or failed the quest, and used the totem on Blazerunner, I think you can get a new totem if you still have the book.
Though I am going to toss the book since I do not have enough free space in my inventory.

This stays in your inventory after you finish the quest. Need it for anything else? I want to destroy it.... junk.

How long does he stay around after summoning? Is it worth keeping the book to respawn him? The book cooldown is 5mins, but iunno how much XP he's worth. Not worth using to spook low levels, he despawns after a minute, unlike Shadra

Once this quest is completed, the book can be tossed, yes.
