Immortal for Nightelves didn't mean they never die but it mean they can live for thousand year.

The night elves lost immortality because after the world tree was destroyed,Nozdormu (time dragon) didnt bless the new tree,Teldrassil, and he was the source of nelfs immortality (Wisps blew up Archimonde and that caused first tree(Nordrassil) to die(well a tree was before that but cant remember name( Edit:Oh I think its Aldrassil); Aviana,the demigoddess (Desceased, killed by doomguards in War of the ancients) lived in it with her bird minions))......sorry,my lore geek side took over.

Edits: Ok, to clear this up, first tree was Aldrassil, I think felled by BL in WotA, second tree was Nordrassil, from the seeds of Aldrassil it was planted and blessed by ALL the dragon aspects, but blew up because of Archimonde dying because of a zillion wisps on auto cast detonation.After, that git Staghelm planted a new tree, Teldrassil, but Nozdormu, the source of the night elfs immortality, didnt bless it, and wasnt properly blessed by the rest, so the residue corruption spread over it.

If you look at the Game Manual of Warcraft 3 (An Amazing game that somehow, 90% of the WoW population dont even know) it says:

Ilidan Stormrage: 15,032 Years old.
Malfurion Stormrage: 15,032 Years old. (well duh, they're twins >>)
Tyrande Whisperwind: 13,836 Years old.

But, with the destruction of Nordrassil on Mt. Hyjal, they gave up their immortality so now if i remember well, Night Elves only lives for 1000 or 2000 years.

Allways thought that there immortally only worked against ageing and diseases, but they were killable in battle. At least that's the way it works in Lord of the rings, and a lot of Warcraft lore is similar to the LOTR lore.

They should have to kill Staghelm instead, no one likes him.
Plus, he summons treants every 30 seconds, and AoE root/hurricane, last I checked. /laughs

I Played warcraft alot, and in warcraft III it's like the whole beginning with tyranda before you go into the outlands, and then I logged in WoW and they asked me for healer I said ok, but when we were at Tyranda, and the music in the temple played I really felt hypocrite so I stopped healing and the other healers couldn't replace my healings so the tank died xD(tank was a total ass)
but Tyranda poor woman fought so long, and now 40 hordies come and kill her V_V

interesting fact, staghelm is referenced by WoWwiki to be the faction leader of the night elves in game, not tyrande, so if blizz picks up on this u wont have to kill her any more!

WoW lore gets way deeper as far as the comparison between the movie and this game. I haven't read the book so the book may have better detail and lore.

The trick to killing this boss for For the Horde is to MANA BURN her very quickly or the healers may not be able to keep everyone alive and then there would possibly be a wipe. If you do mana burn her quickly, it's just tank and spank from there.

Immortality tends to give some creatures a bit of misplaced confidence, does it not?

For killing her, what my group did (twice) is have all ranged stay out of her AoE range and kill her pet first. This worked really well, though her pet may respawn if you take long, so get away once she's down. :)
