This quest for this achievement is bugged at the moment, you share the mobs with everyone else who is doing the quest at that time which is very hard to complete on high population servers. The quest is found after doing a series of chain quests in Uldum with Harrison Jones.

I got this achievement by luck, but I found two different ways to complete this achievement. You can wait until a pat comes near a group of 9 one the second level (from the bottom, count two sets of stairs) , it is difficult to time it just right if the mobs are moving. The other group of 10 I found are at the top of the 3rd set of stairs.

Edit: If you spam the 1 button very fast, you can get up to 3 shots instead of only one.

Don't even try to do it with one hit in one group. Use two shots. First one goes to a group at top stairs and second to a group at 2nd stairs from bottom. The farer the shot takes longer to hit. Put this achiev on tracker so you'll see that after first shot you got like 4 seconds to hit with another shot. When doing right, those 2 shots should hit in same time.

This achievement brings to mind Blade's Edge Bomberman

The "marking" ability does not trigger the GCD so if you're quick enough you can mark 2 spots at the same time before the normal cooldown is triggered. This way you will be able to kill 2 groups at once.

You'll have a greater chance at getting this if you're doing it alone. The mobs are indeed shared between everyone doing the quest.

- i did it a few hours ago , so it's not bugged
- only shoot the ones on the middle platform (the big platform)
- kill them all
- aim and shoot on the right side and guess the respawn time
- win

The quest giver for this daily is at 41.41 - 05.81

You have to complete a chain of quest to get this daily. Cant remeber the chain, sorry :(

They seem to have fixed the bug where you can shoot more than once before the CD is triggered. On another note, though, sometimes when the mobs spawn on the closest platform on the right side, they get scrambled and will 'reorder' a bit to the left. Once you see it happen twice, you should be able to time a shot to hit them when they're clustered.

i seen bugged to me, i can't get more then 3 kill at a time, dont matter how hard i try to get more kill,

This is how i did it just to day Norwegian time 23;00 date: 15.12.10

i use my flymount to check were spawn are and were maby i can choose a pack that dident move were long distans, i saw a pack to the left at the bottom of the screen i used that pack ;) And then i shoot 1 shot. perfect circle around the 10 mobs, Then "poff" Achivment came up.

On the lower left side the squad clusters up at the top of the ramp. Release your shot right before the first line reaches the top as the squad will cluster up and reform before heading back down.

Yeah. It has already been said, but I'll clarify it.

The achievement _actually_ is a kill window. It doesn't measure the deaths with a single shot. Once you kill one soldier, a timer (I believe 4 seconds) starts counting down, during which time you have to kill the remaining 9. This leads me to believe that the daily is actually designed to be done the following way, despite the text:

There's a concept in artillery in the real world known as MRSI, or multiple rounds simultaneous impact. Simple explanation: shots at targets farther away take longer to travel, so if you have a gun that fires fast enough, you can fire multiple rounds at different targets and have them all impact at the same time. I timed it. Firing at the farthest away group which walks the ramp into the temple takes about 11-12 seconds between click and impact. Firing at the closest groups takes 5-6 seconds. So watch the far group for a bit until you figure out a good place to drop a round to take as many out as you can. As soon as you've fired that round, look at the closest groups for a second target. You must fire the second round as soon as the 5 second cooldown has elapsed.

Using this method, even if you're relatively sloppy with both shots, you can easily get the achievement.

The achievement is quite simple to get. On the center courtyard, there's a group of 10 troopers that has a set pattern of patrol path. Aim your target about 10 yards ahead of the lead trooper. Fire and watch them walk into the targeted area. And earn your achievement.

The mobs don't appear to move on the screen and when you bomb stationary packs of mobs, they do not die. Seems the quest itself is bugged.

Dont know why everyone is complaining, easy quest and it isnt bugged at all. There are 2 easy groups of ten. One group comes down front right stairs. Aim so your bottom circle edge is touching the bottom of the stairs, as soon as they are all in the circle fire. They will walk a little past and then turn around and by the time your shot lands all 10 are back in it.

The other spot is the far left stair case. Done the same way except you want the top edge of your target to be touching the top of the stairs. Again, fire when they are all in, they pat just a little past and then come back in and they all die.

FYI, hi population isnt a glitch, you just need to understand that you can log on at different times

This is a really easy achivement, it is not a problem at all to kill 10 with 1 shot.

pretty much easy if there are no one else doing this quest but you, If you spam the 1 button very fast, you can get up to 3 shots instead of only one, so my suggestion is, spam 1 and while dragging your mouse to their direction of walking to hit all group of 10 :)

There were 2-3 people doing it as well, can lil difficult time doing it but I got the achievement at least ^_*

Ok so after some testing today I have found a spot where you can kill 10 guys pretty much every time with easy markers. This is for the very far left group on the stairs. So what you want to do is count 14 steps up from the bottom (its in line with the small cliff line) and wait for the lead guy to be 10 steps from the top (in line with the pillar meets the stairs). Aim in the middle and when the lead guy hits that 10th stair fire and you should manage all 10 in that group.

If you do miss adjust a step or two to get the straggler. Hope this helps in getting this achievement.

If you click fast enough you are able to shoot 3 shells at the same time. The way i did it was just to target the closest group near the bottom steps and try and spam my shots to roughly cover the entire stairway. Worked like a charm

So I got this achievement way back on my main in 2010 by doing the double-shot method by spamming the button. Trying to do it on my alt today, and I am noticing that no matter how fast I spam, I can't get a second shot in. I can get the second green AoE circle, but clicking a spot just says "Spell not ready yet." Fixed?

Its still working fine. Trick is to target the mobs that are farthest, shoot than quickly target the closest group and shoot when CD is ready. Timer won't start until 1st bomb hit 1st group and after that you have 3 sec or so to hit 2nd one.

I found the best way to get them all with the 1 Artillery shell, Is when the mob starts to turn around on the stairs. They bunch up when they go to turn to head back down, You just have to time the shot when they start to turn around and you should hit all 10 with the 1 Shell.

I got it in one shot (tried the 2 shot method a few times) by firing in the middle of the top stairs when the troops are in the middle too, going downstairs. It lands just as they come back up.

I was trying to use the 5 sec. window and doing it with 2 shells... and made it with just one. Apparently the group that's further away can be one-shelled, if you are persistent enough.

Odd, I came to this spot to see if there were a second achievement linked to this one for killing all the guards with only 10 shots...

As it stands, EVERY group of soldies can be killed with one shot, its all a matter of timing, placement, and luck...

As far as the timing goes, remember that the farther the shot has to travel, the longer it will take to reach the target. You may have to practice a bit to get the timing right for each group of soldiers...

As far as placement goes, make sure you are actually shooting at a spot the soldiers are going to be in. No sense shooting behind them or off to the side...

As for the luck part, its tricky. It involves you being the only one doing the quest at the time. Nothing like setting up the absolute perfect shot and noticing another player has already lined up the same shot a split second before you did...

Incidentally, has anyone managed to beat the quest using only 10 shots? Im stuck at 12 myself....

I actually made it with one single shot.

Look at the further group, the one on the top road. As the group reach the bottom of it's path and turn back to go back, fire on the road near the little curve (just before the trolley).

Look at the group and when your aim reach the group, look at the very place they are.

Do it again and fire at this place at the moment the group start turning back. You should hit the whole group and get the achievement.

At the same time, to make sure you get it, target the closest group (the one on the bottom stair), and throw an aim at them using the same method to determine the hit point.

I think I figured out how the achievement was intended to be completed...either that or I just got lucky.

Once you kill at least one guard in a group, after a period of time they dart to the center of their patrol and become ten guards again, at which point they spread out to their original formation. I saw them doing this the first time I did the quest, timed it right and hit them with a bomb right as they began to spread out.

Although the strategy that others have mentioned about doing two groups at once works perfectly, it /is/ possible to get the achievement while bombing only one group. The trick is to place it near the top or bottom of a ramp where the group will sort of fold in on itself while the units turn around to change direction. This makes the group clump up nicely and if you time it just right, your bomb will hit them all at once. I did it this way on two characters, but it took a fair number of tries.

As of today, 23/05/2024. the achievement is bugged (Cataclysm Classic).

I tried and made successful attempts with both methods:

- Two timed shots, with simultaneous impact (far back and front).
- One single shot to kill a whole group (front).

I tried many times at different moments of the day, but none of them were successfully registered.

Reported the bug with screenshots via ticket, and also using the Bug-report tool in-game.

I managed to get a full group of 10 while they were doing their little regroup dance, first shot of the daily went from 0 to 10/100 and no achievement
