I wonder if Blizz is redesigning the place, if it will be a permanent capture (we all know the Gnomes sense of Self-Destruction), what do they mean by "top" will the dungeon be the same aswell? Will it be a capital (WUD BE AWESOME, but always deserted and too near IF), the Gnome Starting Zone (i can live with this) or just a "place with nothing else going on" (dont do this)

At the moment, you can mount inside Gnomeregan, but only outside the dungeon.

I'm leveling a new alt and was running by the High Tinker. His old "says" we,re the same as any other gnome NPC, upon talking to him 2 days ago he has a unique voice and dialogue now, I'm guessing this in prep for him being a new "leader". Just a FYI for the fellow lore geeks like myself.

On wowwiki, it shows that this achieve awarded a title. In-game, it doesn't. Did Blizz take it out for some reason?

edit: There was no title, but the name of this achieve was either "Gnomecoming Queen" or "Gnomecoming King".

For people that may be confused, this achievement was called Gnomecoming King/Gnomecoming Queen depending on your character's sex, but was later changed to Operation: Gnomeregan.

This thing just bugged on us while taking the entrance. Killed many waves of Troggs, then they stopped coming, but Mekkatorque just stood there for a few minutes before despawning. It reset itself, but not before the mobs repopped and killed everyone fast (for not having the buffs anymore)

EDIT: it worked the second time. The key is to STAY OUT OF THE TUNNEL during that phase. Easiest way is to get everyone to stay behind Mekktorque. Once you see the giant Trogg, you're home free.

Much like the pre-WOTLK event that granted the Haunted Memento, finishing every quest for this event but the onslaught will reward you with Gnomeregan Pride, a gnome soldier disguise that lasts 30 minutes and persists through combat (including taking hits) and mounting but NOT through Shapeshift (sorry for druids !). Completing the actual attack on gnomergeran quest (I'll add a link later) will reward you with Gnomeregan Drape, wich is just a regular cape with the Gnomeregan banner on it. Contrarly to popular belief, it is not just a cape overall that replaces your cape's skin !

I had this quest bug out at the radiation bomb. The troggs stopped coming, the gnomes stood still in formation. The status said the gnomes were still fighting for the tunnels. After 10 minutes or so the event reset. (we were still down in the tunnels and no elevator 0.o)

IF this happens to you, looks like best bet is to wait till the event resets. Mekkatorque will come back down. Our second time it completed without bugging out, and you still complete the quest.
