As of patch 3.02 you will no longer be able to recieve the title "Champion of the Naaru", You can finish the quest to get it, yet you will no longer get the title, which will make this Achievement impossible to obtain

Either you guys are wrong or these quests are bugged atm. I recieved "Champion of the Naaru" from the quest last night, and my friend recieved "Hand of A'dal" last night as well. If they're meant to be taken out, I would see them correcting this problem pretty quickly.

I delivered my Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon quest yesterday, and I didn't get the title (Yes, I was on the chain before the patch, and I had completed Cudgel of Kar'desh before the patch). Ticketed a GM and he said it's impossible to get. When I said my friends got it on the same day, he said "Then there's something wrong".

It IS possible to earn this titel even after the 3.0.2 Patch but just if u already had the quest in your questlog before the patch. I think it's the same with the hand of a'dal titel but i'm not sure.

we downed Mag last night (11/28/08) and a buddy of mine was on the mags quest. He did not get the title. He later talked to a GM that confirmed that the title is not available with 3.0.2.

How some people got it is totally beyond me.

There is a current 'bug' with both this and the Hand of Ad'al Feats of Strength. And a few have posted about this already.

If you had the quest in your log before 3.0.2 hit, either Cudgel of kardash, Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon or the Hand of Ad'al ones then, upon completion, you will get the feat of strength and the title.

No Idea if they will fix it or when, but thats the current situation.

@ Losbullitt: They may have hotfixed this during last maintenance.

I got the title 5minutes ago, so it is still possible.

before the 3.0.1 patch came out I had only run the SVs part. Since then I completed slabs, SHs, and Arc.
Before running mags tonight I dropped the quest to kill mag and had a friend share his quest that he got before the patch came out.

If you know someone that has had the quest for a while I suggest you get them to share it with you now and find a group to kill mag because blizzard will probably fix this bug soon.

Just had both the title and the achievement... (EU server so... still 3.0.2 ATM)

Started the Hand of Guldan quest yesterday (11/04) !
Did my 3 trials of the naaru this evening, got the old version of the quest from a friend, killed Magtheridon, disbanded the raid, give the quest back to Adal and voila ! Got the title ! But... no achievement...?

Disconnect, reconnect, ding ! New achievement: Champion of the naaru ! ^^
20 days AFTER my "hand of adal" achievement... xD

It is possible to get the title in 3.0.2, but the following criteries must be completed:
- The Cudgel of Kar'desh
- All prequests must be completed, only Maggy remains
- and a guy, who picked up the q before the patch :)

You CAN still get Hand of A'dal title, as well as Cahmpion of the Naaru if you have the FINAL quests of that title in your log, I just received the CotN on my rogue 5 minutes ago because I was bored and felt like handing it in, in Heroic SP. Do not fret it still can be done before Wrath and after the patch. :)

I figured I'd try it anyways, but no title for me as of 3.0.3.

I had completed only one of the first three Trial of the Naaru quests before 3.0, completed the rest since.

What if like me , i did 2 / 3 Trial Qs . If i now pick up my 3rd ( shattered halls ) finish it off then someone with old maggy Q shares , would i get the title?

Got mine title and feat yesterday. Had the quest in log since mid-TBC, wasnt able to get into Gruul raid all that time 8)

I noticed i had the q after 3,0,2 <-- but i threw it out duo to my suck server, IF i took it back from Adal would it then count as the pre 3,0,2 q or the new one? :< or would i had to find a dude who still have it...

If you simply wanna geather it for Seeker achievment, then you could pick it up from A'dal

I was on the 3 quests that had you go into BC heroics, the ones with Millhouse Manastorm, the clean axe and the other one(forgot name)before the end of BC, but I abandoned them some time into Wotlk. If I picked them up, completed them, then got the Magtheridon quest and did it, would I be able to get the title?

I finally got this quest done after having it in my questlog for nearly one year, and I can confirm that it still rewards the title if you got the quest pre 3.0.

Sorry for not reading all posts but I want to ask: I have the 3 trial quests that are prequesites for maggy quest. Can I still get the title?

Just to make it clear what is going on with this title:

Before during TBC the entire quest chain culminated with the last quest, Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon. Note how this is a prerequisite for the achievement. The ID for this (at least on Wowhead) is 10888. You also need to complete the old quest The Cudgel of Kar'desh. ID 10901.

By completing this version of these quests you will get your title. The only way to get these versions of the quests post-WotLK is if you are either level 70 or someone that has kept them in their quest logs since level 70 shares them with you (and you've completed the chains up to those points).

If you are 80 and try to complete the chains as normal without someone sharing the old versions, you will end up completing the new versions:
Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon #2 ID 13430
The Cudgel of Kar'desh #2 ID 13431

You may need to resort to leveling a 70 on another account (or a friend doing it), freezing XP, and getting them through the chains to this point, then sharing the old versions.

Just confirming with above, you CAN get these quests at level 80, if you have the old quests in your log from BC. I got Hand of Adal today, but I did not get this Champion title, because of the quest ID's. It is weird to have one and not the other.

Why would Blizzard remove the title reward? This just makes us hate them even more, especially Death Knights players. There's nothing more frustrating than knowing there's something really cool (like this title) out there that I can't ever have.

For those of you like myself who are wondering if you can still get Champion of the Naaru, you CAN. If you got the quest before patch 3.0.2 then you can get the title. If you got it after 3.0.2, you cannot. SO DO NOT DROP IT IF YOU HAVE IT!

I just got it on my priest, and I'm so excited after trying to hard back then, then giving up.

So just to clarify, I have the old Cudgel of Kar'desh quest and the three old Trial of the Naaru's leading up to the Magtheridon quest, if I completed these quests I would not receive the title, right?

Completed the entire line a few days after learning about this possibly being possible to get the title, and so you all know, its not possible, even if you are on the quest chain before the patch, sorry all, but this is how blizz makes money

Turned in my quests earlier this year and received the title. (06/18/2010, to be exact, according to the feat of strength)

I had the 3 Trial of the Naaru quests in my quest log along with the Cudgel of Kar'Dash. These were quests I picked up pre WOTLK.

I did the 3 Trial of the Naaru quests and handed them in. I then got the new Trial quest that requires you to kill Magtheridon. I completed it and handed it in, then I handed in the old version of Cudgel of Kar'Dash. I did not receive the title.

The only way to get it is by having the pre-WOTLK versions of BOTH Cudgel and Magtheridon.

Yeah, the only way to get the title anymore is to have the old (Pre-Wrath) versions of:
Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon
The Cudgel of Kar'desh

I had to ask a GM about it and that's what he told me, since I had the old Trial of the Naaru quests and The Cudgel of Kar'desh, but couldn't get the title due to not being able to obtain the old version of Trial of the Naaru: Magtheridon.
