Warning:

Unfortunately, if your target already has a Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern currently on (as a buff) you won't gain credit and you lose the Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern in the process.

Just thought I'd let you know, as I used a few up before realizing that I wasn't gaining credit. However, you can ask the player to remove it by right clicking the buff and you can place your own onto them and it will count. Good luck!

When using this on a player from another faction you won't be tagged for pvp.

Confirmed that jamming one on your own head DOES count towards the requirements of the acheivement. So that's one less race you have to find.

I'm playing Tauren and for some reason, when I put the pumpkin head on other Tauren, I don't get credit. I did to to myself and still didn't get credit. I made sure that the Tauren i put it on didn't have it already. Anyone else have this problem?

You can unlock this Achievement in few minute,just stay in Shattrath.

If you still have these in your inventory, you can get credit for putting these on people's head outside the Holiday timeframe (as compared to some of the other Holiday achievements that must be done during the Holiday season)

The pumpkins needed do not have a duration and I've gotten credit for putting pumpkin heads on people outside of the holiday season.

basically, Just get 10 Jack o laterns (Treat bags, Dailies, HH, etc..) and walk around Dalaran/Shatt throwing them on people ( If you can't get the hordes because you dont have LK or BC go into a BG)

I have completed all the Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outlands, Northrend, and Cataclysm trick or treats and not a single weighted jack o' lantern. I've Killed the headless horseman on 10 different 85s 3 times each so far, and still not a single weighted jack o' lantern. That being said, I did see someone open their loot filled pumpkin and get about 9, as I was leaving the group. Must be a luck factor in there.

Shin, the putting out the fires daily quest in Brill (for horde, not sure about alli) gives you one as a quest reward along with Halloween currency. If you do it everyday for the holiday that gives you 14 of them and you only need 12 for the achi. I just brought mine because I'm lazy lol. Not soulbound so try AH or 'WTBing' in General or Trade chat in your local main city :-)

I found by doing the daily stink bombing quest in the opposing faction's city - that you can target opposing players cleaning up the stink bombs and place the Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern on them for the achieve.

I'm so sure I got one on a player wearing a mask... might be thinking of the wands. I'll test this once i've gotten my last four races done.

EDIT: You can in fact throw a pumpkin onto someone if they are wearing a mask.

I found that while doing the A Time To Lose daily is a decent place to get opposite faction members pumpkin'd. You can throw the weighted pumpkins while mounted so after I finally got close enough to douse, I flew around and targeted the hordies turning in their own dailies and started throwing! There weren't that many players around though so perhaps the Molten Front or other neutral grounds might be better.

I enjoyed the risk factor of my method though as there was the chance of ganking at every turn.

You can use the trick I used with Fistful of Love worked find for me.

Launch WoW and create the new temporary level-1 alt, then logout
Login with your main toon and fly/travel to your level-1 alt location, then logout (don't Alt-F4, don't Quit)
Launch another WoW session, login and select you new temporary level-1 alt
Go back to your 1st WoW session and login again, selecting your main toon. You will see your alt in front of you for 15 seconds, so be quick and throw the Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern

I originally thought this achievement would be harder this year since Dalaran and Shattrath are ghost towns. While working on G.N.E.R.D. Rage I looked around and thought "Hey... there's alliance in this BG." I didn't think of it sooner because I generally don't care for PvP.

If you're going for Hallowed, just do this achievement in a BG while working on G.N.E.R.D. Rage. Yeah, there are work arounds to avoid the battlegrounds, but it's just faster to do it this way. Plus, BG's aren't that bad when you're not there to win, lose, or farm honor.

Just fly over Org in a broom. You can throw them while mounted on it.

Alright the way to get the lanterns is to start the Headless Horseman Dungeon so u can loot him when he dies. u get 3-9 of them at a time but u must start them. They also come from the Town Fire quest sometimes.

I did this achievement in a BG while working on La rivincita del N.E.R.D. at the same time... killed 2 birds in one shot :-)) enjoy!

You can work on this achievement while completing / by tossing pumpkins from your broom.

Easy to do while getting your GNERD achievement in BGs.
You can get a lot more pumpkins to throw off the AH. People usually start selling them right away.

I still have weighted pumpkins, though Hallow's End is over, and I've tagged two more races that have shown up on my quest as accomplished. If I get my remaining two, will I get the achievement, even though Hallow's End is over? Thanks.
