This achievement isn't as hard as it seems. The easiest way to go about getting it is
1. Make sure you have the 10 rockets (duh step)
2. Put the rockets on your action bar
3. Spam the button for wherever you put them while also spam clicking the ground.
4. ?
5. Profit!

The Rocket's Pink Glare

You'll need to shoot 10 Love Rocket's into the air in 20 seconds or less. The thing is you'll at least 2 x or , because you only get them in stacks of 5. Once you got 10, just drag it on an actionbar button and spamclick the button, you'll make it easily.

You might be doing this for the achievement Fool For Love.

Just be careful and dont make the mistake I just did

I wasnt sure if it was a click and fire or a click and target to fire, so I did a "test" fire with my extra 1 (I had 11 rockets) then after i was content I was ready to go for it, I started spamming... of course the timer aparently started when i did the test fire so I only got credit for 4/10 fires... and burned through 11 rockets :(

It worked for me aswell. I did not put my rockets on action bar... I was launching them from my backpack. Worked flawlessly.

Make sure that you're not part of a raid group. Had a few of our guildies having the same problem with the rockets during the Lunar Festival.

Shot 15 of the as fast as the CCD allowed and it registered 7 in the Achievement page...

I got this completed by disabling addons and going to a less crowded place.
Did this just outside Orgrimmar in the Barrens. Either one of those apparently causes the bug.
I also had exactly 10 rockets in my posession, doubt that has an effect but anyway.

i LITERALLY just did this one shot with 10 rockets and got it done no sweat
you have to have a low latency and decent framerate and you have to turn of ALL ur addons and it should work perfect

I tried this twice and couldnt meet the time frame (!)

On the third attempt, i took a haste buff (food) and then sunk a potion of speed https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=40211 to reduce my GCD. Worked a treat!

I've done this 3 times already and each time it has only registered 1 rocket for me. I tried it without addons, in an secluded place, and with the rockets set to a hotkey. Still didn't work for me.

I did it three time then realized at some point I had gotten the achievement and it just never popped up. So before you go getting 10 more to pop off check under your achievements.

This is really crazy. I have tried this 4 times. My last attempt I disabled all add-ons, went to Exodar (not a lot of people or activity), put a Grand spellstone on my weapon (I'm a warlock) raising my haste to 441, drank a Potion of speed (raising haste by 500 for 15 second) and the rocket on my spellbar. I only could get 9 out of 10, then the timer reset to 1 of 10. Still don't have the achievement. My latency is only 122ms. Arrrrrrg!

I put on all my haste gear, got haste buff food and elixir, got around 500haste and finished with just 1 sec to spare. I had about 150ms latency so I suggest you get a bloodlust if you can :)

Disabling addons and going someplace desert is a must for this achievement.

did this by casting heroism on my self, on a deserted place with ach tracking on.

Maybe useful to note that these Love Rockets are NOT Bind on Pickup. Meaning, a friend can get you the rockets, if they are done with the achievement but have some tokens left.

That saves you 10 tokens you can spend on other achievement stuff.

if Anyone cannot buy the Rose Petals, Love Rockets or Sliver Arrows from the vendor type in /run BuyMerchantItem then no space (11) for the rose Petals, (12) for the Love Rockets and (13) for the Silver Arrows. hope this helps :)

I'm not sure if they made this easier than previous years, but I was able to complete it on my first try with 1-2 seconds to spare. I did what people suggested and turned off my addons, went somewhere empty, activated tracking of the achievement, and popped Time Warp.

First time I tried this was in Org, with addons, no tracking, no buffs. olololol 1/10 Back to farming Charms.

Second time, I was in SilverMoon, all addons off, popped Time Warp, Shard of the Crystal Heart], and Icy Veins

Overkill perhaps, but I still just about managed it with 2 seconds to spare.

Now if only I could find me a Human DK. Or anyone with a basket...

All problems have been fixed as far as buying the items, and using the advice given here, I drank a haste potion and that really helped. I wasn't able to do this ach before that, even after buying several batches of rockets.

This whole mess is BS. It doesn't say "go somewhere sucluded..Drink a speed potion..track the achievment" or any f**kin thing else.Blizzard "get your sh*t together. It's not like these Ach. are hard. Everything else is easy, and I didn't need to do this in the Lunar festival's "and the rockets red glare". grrrrrrr! And you're wrong in the above post.. IT STILL AIN'T WORKING !.. I've tried this twice in the past 2 days - (no add-ons, away from the city, timed under 20 seconds)......Still no achievement......20 wasted tokens :(

Finally got it to work - used the suggestion below of dropping into slot 2, spam it and click the ground - Yeah! Now if I could just find an Orc DK I'd be done!

Have the same problem.

Tried twice on Feb 10th ( ie after the maintenance and "repairs were made so lvl 85's could do stuff ), but the quest tracker didn't count anything past the first rocket.

Fairly pissed about this because that was 20 tokens gone, and I really don't enjoy this event to begin with.

I am not going to try again until I get everything else done, or until I see a Blizz post saying it has been fixed ( right now there isnt anything, so maybe it is a fairly isolated problem ). Odd that I had no trouble with my Lunar New Years one and the New Years firecracker ones.

Soooo... this is the last thing on my list, tried two more times today, once in Dalaran and then in Nagarand ( seriously, who goes there?). Used a speed potion and heroism both times... still failed. The lag on the first one takes just over 2 seconds to start the cooldown for the next. After that first one, I can get the next 9 off in under 2 seconds each, but that first one is taking the to long.

I wonder is some mechanics about haste/cooldowns has been changed since last year?

***Final Edit***

After failing 2 more times I was convinced that my trouble was with that first rocket fired ( as a Haste Gem'd/Enchant'd Shaman I was starting to take this personally ). As I said, there was a slight delay between my computer and the server when I would fire the first rocket. I am guessing loading up the explosion animation or something caused a slight ( just slight enough ) bit of lag, but it would still count the 20 second timer.

ANYWAY, my solution was to buy 15 rockets fire 1 off to get the animation fresh in system so to speak, let the timer reset and then spam 10 rockets. Worked on the first try, I was even in Ironforge.

So if you are like me and on a normal day have a laggy connection to server, and are having issues, I would recommend buy 5 extra rockets. You will still need a speed potion or heroism/bloodlust/timewarp. I just used a speed potion for mine, since heroism "shouldn't" be needed for other classes to pull this off.

I have the exact same problem with the "rockets red glare" achieve. After failing the first time, I researched it, and many found others with this problem.

Based on others feedback I followed this process (and still failed twice more):

I turned off all add-ons
I went to an empty low-lag area (in North Barrens)
I set the rockets to a hotkey,
I ate a Buff food which improved haste,
I drank a potion which increased haste,
I spammed the hotkey and selected the ground right in front of me.
The rocket # counter increments up until 9, then instead of incrementing to 10 it goes to 1, and I don’t get the achievement.

Despite all of these above and beyond efforts, I still failed twice more. It seems like it's only giving you 10 seconds even though it says 20. Those of us who don't have any fast casting buffs can't do it in 10 because the cast time is 1 second per rocket.

I'm wondering what classes are failing? Is it all non casters? Can those failing post their class - maybe we can find a theme.

Whatever it is, I’m out 30 love tokens, and in danger of not getting the “Love Fool” achievement and also the “Long, Strange, Trip” meta.

I opened a GM ticket yesterday, and it has an estimated time remaining of 1 Day 3 hours. Lovely.

Anyone try is since today's patch (4.0.6a)?

Regardless if we have fast casting buffs or not-THAT shouldnt be required to get the achievement :)

The whole point is that it SHOULD give us the full 20 seconds :)

On an interesting note, i have sent in 2 tickets to Blizz regarding this (i did have another issue on the ticket as well), HOWEVER, despite TWO tickets regarding this, it was the ONLY thing not addressed in the "GM feedback"...so i have no clue as to if they are even taking anoyone seriously on this or not, let alone addressing the fact that this is an obvious bug, indicated by the fact that the timer resets itself, making it physically impossible for some to attain this achieve at this point in time =/

I finally received a Gm response that "I am not alone" and that they are working with "EPIC precision to get everything running smoothly".

Unfortunately, they did not give any time-frame on when this might be fixed or if they will have a fix before the end of "Love is in the Air"

UPDATE: Managed to get the achievement after several tries with addons off and tracker on.

Since its only bugged for certain users, I'm wondering what the difference is between those who can achieve it and not. Since it seems to be timer related, perhaps it has something to do with API calls made on a certain platform.

It would be interesting to know what platform people are running on that have this problem. I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit and have the issue. Any others having this issue on 64-bit PC's?

I saw a rogue successfully achieve it today and he said he was running Windows 7, 32 bit. He also did it right in the middle of Org (by the Love Vendor) on a Sunday afternoon - so that kills the perceived need for a low-lag area.

I finally got "Rockets Red Glare" to work for me!

I think I found the issue for those having problems with the timer in the "Rockets Red Glare" achievement... try running WOW on a different computer!

It failed 4 times for me on my normal computer (a PC running Windows 7, 64-bit), and I saw a guy next to me get it while running a Windows 32-but computer. I couldnt find a 32-but Windows box, but as soon as I tried it the first time on a Mac, it worked fine!

I also did it in the middle of Org without any buffs, so all of those suggestions about lag areas, buffs, are completely unnecessary. (I also tried running without my add-ons, and with a cleared cache, so it wasn't caused by any of those problems.) It appears that it has something to do with the way blizzard coded the timer in. It performs as expected on most platforms, and doesn't on others. I suspect all of us having issues have something in common on our PC/mac: either same type of processor (x86, x64, AMD, Intel) ,OS, or even certain Video cards.

I have guild mates who did it fine on 32-but Windows, since I did it on a MacMini, my guess it has something to do with 64-bit Windows and/or my PC configuration.

Hey Blizzard - Please read, test, and respond to this! 64-bit Windows ships on over half the new PCs made these days (if that's even the problem).

Same problem here. I thought I was just doing something wrong but after the third try I went looking for answers. For what it's worth I'm running Win 7, 64 bit on an AMD Phenom Quad-Core with a crap ATI video card (4350 I believe). My frame rates are a little slow but no latency issues that I know of (world latency hovering between 100-150) Went outside Org last night and still no achievement. Although I'm not totally ready to cry foul on Blizzard's part yet it seems there may be an issue. I had no problem with the lunar fest rockets or firecrackers. I'll try all the suggestions above but I'm going to save this one for last rather than waste more tokens that I need to complete a couple remaining achievements.

I was in Org just now and saw someone get the achievement so I thought I'd give it a go.

All I did was put the rockets into a key slot and stood behind the vendors in Org, facing the cliff face to reduce lag, and did the "hit key, click ground" x 10.

Bang. Achievement. First go.

Seems it has been fixed. It was definitely only 10 rockets in less than 20 sec.

I run at about 180ms latency. I had no buffs of any sort.

After reading through most of the posts here, I found there is no need for haste potions or bloodlust/heroism etc, simply just do the following:

1. Disable all addons/ Reset UI. (Certian addons ARE causing issues)
2. Go to a low population area (Basically, get out of crowded cities/areas as this seems to interfere with the tracker)
3. Place the Love Rocket on your action bar.
4. Spam the Love Rocket button and furiously click the ground near you until you get the achievement.

Confirmed this worked for myself and a lot of other people I recommended it to :)

Just shot off 10 rockets and had 7sec left on the timer.
Only 2 of the rockets counted toward the achievement... guess this is bugged.

I'm running on a i7 920 cpu with 12gb ram and 120gb solidstate drive with the gtx 580 videocard, fps stayed at 150fps the whole time and no one was around, latency was 60ms home and 100ms world.

Well i have done this twice now...
First time i just put the rocket icon on a keybinded slot in the actionbar and spammed it...
Counter stopped at 2 then nothing.
To day i tryed this again, after reading some in here. I disabled ALL addons, went far out in Elwynn Forest and again i put the rocket on a keybinded slot on my actionbar... this time the counter was going over 2 BUT the timer was messed up. It went from 2 to 7 to 3 to 9 and then 0. So no achivement here :o(

**EDIT: I got the achivement one day after this. I did the same as in second try. Disable all addons, reloadUI, go to a place whit no ppl, put the rocket icon on a keybinded slot in your actionbar and fire away.

Seems to work fine in 4.3.2. For this, I disabled all my addons and flew out near Nozzlepot's Outpost (Northern Barrens) without any other players around.

I did press it too quickly once getting the "I can't do that yet" message from my character, so there is some room for error here.

I wasted some love tokens on this silly thing until Blizzard confirmed - unofficially of course - that disabling UI's, getting to an isolated area,, dropping the rocket into a numbered slot, and spamming away was the right approach.

I flew to the mountains around StormWind, spammed away and got the achievement.

I did this twice without receiving achieve, and I saw the counter I definitely completed long before 20 seconds was up. It took 3 GM tickets but finally got it fixed. I had to totally reset my UI - delete cache, WTF and interface files from the WOW folder. Then reboot computer. Its a pain because you have to reload all addons etc. But fixed the problem.

Just did mine in the middle of Stormwind, Without disabling any of my UI's. Placed the rockets in my number 2 slot and began firing away. I guess only certain people if you do have problems then try and disable your UI's.
