My main problem with this achievement is that it's better to keep a flag from being capped in the first place...

Yeah this one seems incredibly hard to get, and encourages people to pretend to be afk and allow someone to cap their node, then try to kill them.

not as hard, cuz u need 100 wins anyways in AB. got quite some time to get this. but its right, as a rogue i mostly wait stealthed at stables and wait for a tap. then kill clicker and defend flag.

this achievement is a joke.. expect to run ab a lot to get that achievement... ofc people will listen to what we say or u blizz expect that a player cap a base alone... right

I spend every moment of the games I play in AB trying to create opportunities for the opposing faction to hit one of our bases so I can capture it back within the time limit. This stupid achievement encourages everyone to do the exact opposite of what should be done.

You'll get more luck in a game where your team is better than the opposing, but too much on the offense.

Has the criterion for a recapture changed since 3.2.2? I've been ticking along on 0/50 for months, with almost no chance of ever gaining this achievement. Since the patch I now see that I'm on 3/50, without recapping any bases as far as I can remember.

What did they change about cap/re-cap timers? Had a long break from WoW this fall but went 42/50 last spring and now I'm trying again although I'm now just resto - was easier to kill off enemies as elemental. :-) Only need the last 8 and "we had it all along" to complete the AB meta.

1) Got to a Flag you own.
2) Stealth/Hide.
3) Let Opposing Faction Take.
4) Hope person that grabs it runs away or is alone to kill him.
5) Re-grab the flag before opposing faction acquires it.

Really silly achievement, if you fought for a base and helped defend it the person who randomly runs up and recaptures it shouldn't be the one who gets credit for this.(##RESPBREAK##)396##DELIM##Buuloki##DELIM##

Wouldn't it be better if the one trying to cap a base get a debuf, lets call it "Assaulter", if someone gets a killing blow on a guy with the debuff he get progress towards this achievement.
Let the debuff last for as long as the cap time, 7 seconds. Wouldn't it make everyone want to actually kill the guy who is trying to cap instead of waiting until he capped and then kill him?

You do NOT, I repeat you NOT want to try to do this achievement solo. If, however, you're unfortunate enough to have to get this yourself, don't try to get it; it'll come over time. I've been pulling my hair out for weeks now, trying to solo this, but to no avail. There's always that one guy that gets the cap because the enemies just don't attack him.

My team always consists of people with tunnel vision who let someone cap a node that the entire team is sitting on. The opposing team always consists of people who anticap like a boss - they throw a dot on you when your cap bar is at 98%, they spam aoe until they die and reinforcements arrive...

After almost 100 wins, I'm still sitting on 26 recaps. And I try for them every single game. The recap timer is horrifically short, if you aren't already at the base as the enemy caps it you will struggle to even make it there in time. When you get there 9 times out of 10 the base will be overrun and heavily defended with your team already dead or changing bases. If you do get in flag range the enemy team will constantly anti-cap you and hold you up while your teammates struggle to kill anything. Be prepared for a lot of flags capping halfway through your recap cast. Le sigh.

Roll with a paladin or priest life-grip or bubble team mates, It's a ^&*! move but it helps you get caps xD

Sometimes there will be that one lucky AB where an enemy player will play along and let you recap the flag as many times as you want... luckily i was the only one there and no one killed the one horde capping stables :D last achievement for my over 9,000 one... TY priest :)
