Good info, thanks.
Most probably when honoring the fires people will also extinguish the fires of the opposite side, only the extinguishing will toggle pvp on for 5 minutes. However taking a flightpath will cancel the pvp regardless how much time remains.

Am I right that if I did this achievement last year, I can't honour any of the same flames this year? If so, I've got no idea how I'm going to get another 400 tokens for the Midsummer outfit set ;-( 120 from Northrend fires plus 10 from dailies for 10 days = 220, am I missing anything?

ok, so from what i have heared there is NOT a fire in Icecrown? probally because of the fact there is no Horde, Alliance encampment (The 2 Zepelins don't count as enCAMPments)

You can honor/desecrate each fire every day!

As of today, all fires and quests have been reset. This means you can re-visit all fires honoured or extinguished before today, and re-complete the stealing the flame quests. HF!

Just a heads up, none of these count towards the regions' specific quest achievement.
Although, they do count towards the 3000 quest achievment.

Total gold reward for this achievement: 12 * 6g63s = 79g56s.

As of Midsummer Fire Festival 2011, the Feralas Alliance bonfire is at 46.65 , 43.70.

This is Feathermoon Stronghold on the mainland coast of Feralas as Feathermoon Island has been run over by naga.

If you have 280 flying (epic) you can fly from Lor'danel Darkshore to Teldrassil without dealing with the boat. This is handy as Horde.

Due to some minor cataclysmic events, the following changes have been made to acquire this achievement:

The Ashenvale Flamekeeper moved to Silverwind Refuge
The Barrens flamekeeper has been promoted to the Northern Barrens Flamekeeper at The Crossroads
There is now a Southern Barrens Flamekeeper at Desolation Hold
The Thousand Needles Flamekeeper drowned with the great flood

On a positive note... the cataclysm has forced nearly all of Azeroth to go green (goblins included), making the air clean enough for our flying mounts to travel without the scent of vanilla, allowing this holiday and its achievements to almost be tolerable.

I've not seen it mentioned anywhere but the Darnassus bonfire is not in Ruttheran Village but in the grassy area east of Darnassus itself, just inside the main gate from the rest of Teldrassil. Roughly 63, 48.

I assume a few things in recommending this route to you

1.) You're Horde
2.) Your Hearth is set to orgrimar
3.) You Have Epic flying
4.) YOu're level 85 or have the Hyjal portal

(E) = Desicrate/Extinguish Flame
(H) = Honor Flame

This is the way I did it on my toons if you have ideas
on how to make this easier by all means comment below.

Start Orgrimar.

Take Hyjal Portal fly north to Everlook, Winterspring
(E & D)

Fly West to Lor'Danel, Darkshore (E)

Continue flying west to Darnassus. you will reach land before fatiuge
runs out otherwise you flew the wrong way =P

Fly up the tree to Dolanaar, Teldrassil (E)

Fly west to Darnassus right trough the front gate.
Carpture the city flame. it should appear in your bag as a quest item

Now you can either teleport through the tree in Darnassus to Rutheren
Village, or fly back down the way you came.

Take to Boat to Exodar.

After arriving on the boat as you come off the dock there is a back
entrance to The Exodar on your right. Follow down the ramp. Head
through The Vault of Lights and into The Crystal Hall via the little
passage that connects the two. If you are unsure check your map before
you go so you know where you are going. The fire should be straight
ahead. Capture it. Either run out the same way or die and spirit rez

I assume you died.

Spirit rez by Stillpine Hold head North to Blood Watch, Bloodmyst Isle
(E)

Head back south toward the boat stopping at Azure Watch, Azuremyst Isle
(E)

Take the boat to Darnassus.

Fly back toward Darkshore.

Then South to Ashenvale Fire at Silverwind Refuge (H) & Forest song (E)

Hearth

Fly south to Razor Hill, Durotar (H)

Fly West to The Crossroads, Norther Barrens (H)

Fly West into Stontalon Mountains, Sun Rock Retreat (H) Just north of
Sun Rock is an Alliance camp go there. (E)

Fly south to Desolace Nijel's Point (E)

Fly to the Southwest of the zone to Shadowprey Village (H)

Fly east to Mugore stop at Bloodhoof Village (H)

Fly east into the Southern barrens Stop at Desolation Hold (H) and
Fort Triumph (E)

Fly east into Dustwallow Marsh, Brackenwall Village (H)

Head east accross the zone just past Sentry Point under heavy tree
cover is the alliance fire (E)

Fly South to Gadgetzan, Tanaris Two here on either side of the city
(E & H)

Fly west to Cenarion Hold, Silithus again two here on either side of
the town (E & H)

Fly north into Feralas stopping at Camp Mojache (H) and Feathermoon
Stronghod (E)

Hearth!

You should now have the following Achievements:

Flame Keeper Of Kalimdor
Extinguishing Kalimdor
