Immolatus is a rare elite spawn in Felwood.
He drops random green items, and if you are very lucky he can drop a blue item as well. He hits for around 100-200 damage and can be killed as lvl 60 easy. Easy way to get money if you find him.

If your going to fight this guy watch out for his knockback, things could go wrong really fast if you get punted into another infernal.
He hits fairly hard, 300-400 damage with 4k armor, keep your distance if you can.

Killed him last night. Not to hard of a fight, but as stated earlier the knockback can be nasty if he knocks you into some adds. He is immune to fear and horror, but banish works on him and 90% of the time lasted the whole durration @ lvl 56.

Just killed him being a 49 BM Hunter,first attempt with pet tanking failed,second attempt I decided to kite him,pet died but I was able to kill him when I was very close to Ashenvale border! =P dropped a cloth boot >_>

This guy is pretty tough. His hits were around 350-450 on my 54 shaman (that's counting I have 30% damage reduction with my armor) + he does a nasty knockback.
I soloed him using a mana pot, and got some average green. Wasn't worth my time and effort I'd say. I don't advice you trying to solo him unless you are level 56 or higher.

50 Frost mage. He was hitting me between 500-700. Got him down to 15%. Might try again after I level. Not immune to nova or Frostbite, so if you keep him away from you you can wail on him a bit. I would have killed him if he didn't resist me so much.

kited and killed him as a 52 Affliction Lock. Pet died within first 10 secs. Curse of Exaustion and keep your dots ticking. Ran down the road so i knew it was a clear path.

I enslaved him. He hits for around 400 on mobs around level 54. A rediculously strong if temporary pet. I highly suggest enslaving him. And you can even loot him if you release him before he dies and kill him!

Very easy for a hunter. I killed him as a 49 hunter. Just kite him on the road down with ur pet on him. He can be slowed down, trapped and stunned.

He patrols around the elementals in Felwood.

He hits really hard (600). I managed him first try on my 53 Frost mage. Very easy if you know how to kite. I didnt even have to use any of my cooldowns. Just dont come near him and you will be fine.

I tried to brute-force Melee him down as an Enhancement Shaman... didn't work out too well, as he's immune to Lava Lash and Flame Shock.

Frost shock and lightning bolt works, though. Second try did it, just becareful to not get too close, as he has a nasty knockback that hits for 450-ish and crits for 800 on Chainmail armor.

Just killed him, with a 51 assass rogue and a 51 prot pally, dropped 2 greens for us. fairly easy kill, got in trouble once but as someone else say stuns and blind works on him

Just solo'd him on a 53 enhancement shaman
Had all my totems out, and hit Shamanistic Rage, didn't even have to pot :P
Just make sure you clear the area around you and pull him away from other grps.

As far as stealth detection goes im a level 52 combat rogue not specced into sub at all and could get close enough to cheap shot him without him noticing me at all

This guy is extremely fun to enslave as a warlock. At first I thought he was just another infernal, but when I started killing mobs much faster I realized he was an elite. I went around questing with him for about half an hour, but lost him when I had to take a flight :(

This guy has some kind of aggro dump mechanism. I went after him with my hunter, he started pounding on my bear, then walked through the bear and pounded me to death. I wasn't expecting it and I was 4 levels under him (Hunters see crushing blows as a challenge, not a danger sign) so after rezzing I made a second pass.

This time I was watching Omen and going slow, noticed my bear's threat had dropped to zero. Was able to feign death to get him off me, went back to the bear, dumped aggro a second time, but I was able to get him down that time.

I killed him with my lvl 52 warlock and i took him down pretty easy with my voidwalker as tank.
But dont think he's easy if you are below lvl 54 he is pretty hard.
He drops pretty nice items so if you are close go for it. :D

I found this rare while on the quest "Verifying the Corruption" and found that he had double spawned. I didn't get a screenshot of this before my level 80 druid friend killed "them." :*( How can this happen?

Easy to solo as a lock

Find a big tree near him
Dots him up and put curse of exhaustion on him
Kite him around the tree til he die

If you don't have curse of exhaustion, simply banish him after the dots fade, run to max range and dots him up again once banish fades.

Warning: If you're around 50-52, I suggest you have voidwalker to use the shield sac for safety when casting banish cause there's a pretty good chance your banish will miss/end early

Found him at 41,37

Killed him at lvl 53 and he still gave me some crazy xp! "Immolatus dies, you gain 5700 experience. (+2850 exp Rested bonus)" Didn't even get a knockback on me because I had my pet, he got the brunt of the attack. (Love my hunter!) Got Duskwoven Sash of the Whale for my troubles. Yet another item for the AH. So worth searching for and killing for the xp, though!

Seems to be Immune to most fire attacks, if you're a fire mage you might want to switch specs before fighting him.

I just killed Immolatus and he drops Essence of earth this is the second time i kill him so its to early to make a guess as to often he will drop them

Immolatus' purpose is simple. He's the only mob in the area that you can enslave and kill Kroshius solo.

A warlock can use 1-2 shards, ignite Kroshius then solo him with the enslaved Infernal. Its quite clever and works out very well. Nice quest design, Blizzard!

I took him down easily solo with my 60 warrior... constant shield block though for safety.. he did some fire damage which hurt me for 10 damage each time and he hit me for like 50:P he aint nothing to worry about;) dropped core of earth + elemental earth:)

Soloed him as 59 arms/prot warrior. dropped some green plate bracers... nothing useful. Had to use diamond flask and +25 str pot. also had demonslayer sword with demonslaying enchant. which helped... a lot. if your a warrior build-up some rage on nearby mobs and then attack.

I soloed him two times now with my 54 Paladin, not difficult at all. Dropped a green pair of cloth gloves and a core of earth the first time, and a green cloth headwrap with +25 nature resist and another core of earth the second.

enslaved him and he critted 2x 750 in a row.. so enslave him and kill a bit with him then release him on 5% (or close) and kill him ^^ enjoy your super pet

soloed him with lvl 53 BM hunter dropped lvl 52 cloth shoulders w/55 armor adn +26 arcane damage! AH here i come lol had to use one health pot and me and pet were almost dead by end of it but didn't die!

Solo'ed him as lvl51 gnome warlock. Curse of Exhaustion + all the tickers I could spare, used my imp as a mana battery. I kited him all the way up to the cave at the top of felwood. Dropped a lvl53 plate head(+17str +17stm).

Finnished the fight with full HP.

My first kiteing as a warlock, was very fun. :)

..Wondering if the same tactic will work on the 55elite warlockquest guy in felwood. Gotta face him one of these days.

Solo'd this guy today as a level 55 Protection Paladin. Not too difficult for plate wearers; he doesn't hit us as hard as you might expect a level 56 Elite to hit. He does, however, have a non-Elite bodyguard and the knockback attack is a pain when you're trying to cast. Definetely doable, I only had to heal myself once.

Yeah the knock back is annoying and he hits prety hard, for prot warriors use sunder armor and shield block and the other DPS stuff and ull be fine. Plus i got 2 green items off him! Sweet!

Found this guy in Shatter Scar Vale, but didn't notice he was a rare until I already killed him. Here's my mini-map where I found him:

HE DOES hit like a pimp; he was only one lvl below me and knocked me back a few times. Didn't hurt my health too badly though, just kept me from attacking for a bit.

Dropped Deeprock Salt, Demonic Rune, and Ornate Breastplate of Nature's Wrath.

So... I was in Felwood one day to lvl my hunter.
Than suddenly I saw this guy walking around.
I thought killing him would be fun since he was
lvl 56 n my hunter were 52..
So well, I tried.. N it was pretty cool,
taking on the challenge I mean,
cos when he was at about 40 % health left,
two bodyguards appeared, n my pet almost died all the time
n I had low mana.. But I used mend pet when i had the chance
as often as I could. At 2% health left, my pet died,
n the 3 mobs started runing after me..
So I just thought that oh well.. why not run myself?
So I did, n everytime I had enough mana to shot arcane shot,
I just jumped, turned around n did it, till he died..
N than I feigned death to get the bodyguards off of me :)
So well.. One way to challenge urself n test ur skills..

lvl 55 Ehance Shammy, saw this guy, thought easy kill.. WtF that had to of been a fluke, so tried again, and again. Not only does this guy toss you halfways across the map, he hits like a train. Gave up and ran like a whipped dog...

Found him wandering around the Imp and the Gnome Warlock NPCs.
Killed him as a 58 Destro Lock.
Easy, even though I pulled aggro off my void a couple of time.
Might wanna consider bringing health pots for this guy.

I "bumped into him" on my 53 hunter, so I told the zone on General and a 58 Druid dutifully came and got pwned. He asked for help, and a T2 equipped 60 mage came and they both got pwned. lol That was enough repair bills for me, so I opted to run along and do my nubbie thing, but I heard them asking for help for a while after that. The point being, don't expect to solo this guy except perhaps 'locks, and I' not even sure WHY kill him since he doesn't appear to have any good lewts. :)

I just killed him and he dropped a green belt. Not sure if he's been killed enough to provide an accurate table. Also, the patch notes said that named mobs in Felwood should drop things now, so I don't know if that includes him or not.

I ran across him today while goofing around in Felwood, and figured I'd try taking him on, being as it would be me (58) and my armor/fire pet vs a 56 him. 0/3 lol. I hope people have better luck with him than I did. He has a fire shield, fairly high DPS, and has Knock Away (anyone hit with it loses a large amount of aggro). Hope this saves someone a run from the graveyard.

Just killed him today as a 53 Hunter and got a Councillor's boots of the eagle, and 2.5k exp. I had to drag him all the way past Emerald Sanctuary and use 3 mana potions. I got hit 3 times in the process and nearly died.

Hits like a dump truck on a 54 druid with good to very good tanking gear. Unless you have a healer + tank or some killer dps or some mad kiting skillz - it'll be rough at nearly his level.

solo'd him my 60 rogue while a damn 52 elite add started hitting on me at the same time. I just popped evasion, adrenaline rush and blade furry. Dropped a crappy green of the whale shoulder item.

I ran across him while herbing in felwood (58 Tauren Druid). Normally I leave these things alone cause they dotn seem to drop anything good.

however, i noticed he had a funny name and decided to kill him.

I changed to Bear form Farie->Bash->whatever->enrage->blahblah->frenzy.
At this time my HP was about 70% and his was around 50%. I changed back. Rejuv->warstomp->regrowth->innervate->rejun then went back to bear form ->Bash. and finished him off.

he droped some useless green item i disenchanted.

he wasent that hard, but a lot harder then the non rare ones.

Saw a named elite and assumed he would drop a green.

Since he was 56 elite, I thought it would be best to pop recklessness.

When you enslave an elite it stays elite not like in taming... So probably the best way to kill Kroshius would be to enslave this dude and make him fight Kroshius...

Funniest thing, I come on here to check his loc. and then i switch back to wow and hes attacking me... lvl 58 hunter, killed him easy with 3/4 of my health left... he dropped a green: Engraved Bracers of The Eagle
