Season of Mastery Patch 1.14.3.42770 PTR Datamined New Spells & Items

The latest patch for Classic Season of Mastery is now available for testing on the Classic PTR,
which had some development notes posted by Aggrend
. As of right now, players are able to test the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, which includes an overhauled Prophet Skeram encounter and a difficulty selector for the remaining raid.
Temple of Ahn'Qiraj
The next phase of Season of Mastery will be Phase 5, which features Ahn'Qiraj and the War Effort.
Aggrend did explain that there will be a War Effort
, it will just be accelerated for Season of Mastery. That also means players will likely need to do the
Le Sceptre des Sables changeants
quest chain to open the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. As of right now, the only fight that has seen significant updates is the Prophet Skeram encounter.

The biggest difference with Prophet Skeram is when the boss splits into multiple clones, a giant C'Thun eye will spawn in the sky and target a random player in the raid with a beam, applying

. This player will be capable of seeing which of the clones are real and which ones are fake.
If the raid kills the incorrect clone, the entire raid will die. So, it is imperative that when this effect goes off, the person targeted with the beam should communicate with the raid and instruct them to attack the correct clone. Once Prophet Skeram is killed, the wall behind him will open up, allowing players to interact with a peculiar new object...
Raid Difficulty Options
The Coffin after Prophet Skeram for choosing Raid Difficulty
In the following room after defeating Prophet Skeram, there is a coffin that players can interact with. This coffin will apply a debuff on the entire raid, adding new mechanics for the remainder of the raid instance.
The Development Notes explain that taking on the greater challenge will increase rewards from bosses

The Coffin Raid Difficulty options
At the coffin, you'll be able to choose one of the following difficulties based on reputation, which will apply a specific debuff to the raid... Any player in the raid can interact with the coffin and that player's reputation determines what choices are available.

Each of the difficulty will also scale boss damage and boss health by a small margin. Depending on the difficulty selected, the following effects can go off during boss encounters --

These effects will add significant difficulty to boss encounters, adding an extra layer of depth to the fight. From the few raids that have defeated multiple bosses (Tmugsy <IDES> from Jom Gobbar), while this mechanic is an elegant solution to the loot problems seen in Season of Mastery, it doesn't add enough interesting boss encounters in Ahn'Qiraj. Hopefully the other bosses in the instance will see overhauls,
such as the ones seen in Blackwing Lair
.

is a consumable item, allowing the player to absorb souls from slain enemies, granting a buff to the player that lasts for one hour. These buffs include movement speed, reduced damage taken, mana regeneration, attack power, and a buff to all stats. These look eerily similar to popular world buffs... Still no idea how this item works or where it is obtained from.

". It isn't clear if this grants a title, is just a hidden achievement, or if it is a buff inside the
