Community Engagement Manager Josh Allen, better known as
Lore
, announced that he will be leaving Blizzard Entertainment this Thursday, after 9 years with the studio. Alongside his
Chaton de braise
avatar, Lore became one of the most visible liaisons within the Warcraft community, well known for his forum presence, Q&A interviews, and voice over work in various patch survival guides. As the primary point of contact for many sites and community networks, including Wowhead, we are sad to see him leave but wish him well on his next adventure!
Lore joined Blizzard as a member of the Community Management team in July of 2013, becoming well known for his forum presence alongside and hosting Q&A videos, reading community questions with Game Director
Ion Hazzikostas
, Lead PvP Designer
Brian Holinka
, and other developers. Additionally, Lore provided voice overs for some of the World of Warcraft Patch Survival Guides, such as the
guide to Patch 9.2: Eternity's End
, helping players navigate the new content coming with each major patch.
Lore was already well known within the community before his start at Blizzard though, both as the site director for
TankSpot
responsible for many of their raid guides, as well as a producer and co-host of several World of Warcraft shows, including
The Weekly Marmot
,
PST
, and
PST Rapid Fire
, as well as both
After Dark
and
Legendary
on Gamebreaker.tv. He was also an active streamer of 10 and 25 player raid content, and even continued to stream games during his time working for Blizzard Entertainment.
Through his years with Blizzard Entertainment, Lore served as the primary point of contact for many World of Warcraft sites, streamers, and communities. Active and always helpful, he was instrumental in their growth and fostering communication with the World of Warcraft development team. While we are sad to see him leave, we wish him the best and look forward to his next venture.
