While I'm a tad annoyed that they didn't make the variety of them available at Cata launch (made the only live one for my warlock), I'm at least glad they're adding more stones like this one in the next patch.

Edit: Not sure why this was downrated, as it was a bit bothersome that there weren't a variety of stones to start out with, and it's a fact that they're adding a variety in the next patch.

Any chance they will let me trade the stamina one I made for this one? A shame to have spent so much only to throw the old one away. But it's better than being stuck with +stam when I really want +int for dps.

I for one am glad they added this one and do not care if they let us trade. I've been running quite successfully with the old +sta one and figure that I have a second trinket slot. This should fit quite nicely in there.

Oh, hell, I *just* bought Core of Ripeness yesterday, and disenchanted the blue trinket I had in there, but I'd much rather have this and have my 1600 Valor Points back. :/

This is really great for healer classes that value haste, and in fact with a 40 Int gem in there you're actually gaining 351 Intellect, which puts it ahead of any other ilvl 359 trinket off the top of my head (they all tend to have 321 Int). It's up to you to decide whether the haste and the boost to potions puts it ahead of other trinkets available to you. For me, yes, it would.

Amazing trinket for most caster classes (including healing classes)! Not so good for classes such as fire mage (as fire mages want crit more then anything basically besides int basically), can't think of any other classes/specs that shouldn't use this trinket at the moment.

alchemists rejoice...its sunwell teir all over again! this trinket will be quickly made and well loved. the sheer amount of stats on this trinket will make it incredibly useful in any situation, and the use will come in handy on mana intensive fights. dare i say...this may contend with the bis trinkets on live atm.

wow, great stuff. well it doesn't prok loads of spirit like every other trinket does but potion buff and loads of intellect man... plus i guess you can convert some of haste rating into 100+ spirit :D

for arcane mages this is gonna be the business....mana adept 100%
and dont forgot fire mages or other casters can always reforge the haste into crit :D ( well at least some of it!)

Considering that for Boomkins, Int/Spellpower>Hit/Spirit=Haste>Mastery=Crit, this trinket is AMAZING. Adding to this the fact that 40% on potions is IMMENSELY useful, this is sure to be one of our top trinkets(This is based on current EP values, not with the 33% buff to mastery).

This trinket is definitely high priority for any spell caster with alchemy. I'm waiting patiently for the patch to go live so I can finally ditch the inferior heroic trinkets I'm currently using :P

If you're a raiding healer/spell caster & an alchemist without this trinket in 4.0.6 you may need to be dropped. Simple.

is it me or all these new alchemist trinkets are under-budget? i mean sure, passive intellect with passive haste and a red socket are all awesome, but the values are lower even compared to heroic blue items:

vibrant alchemist stone gives 194 haste and 351 intellect (for a total of 386 spell power and a bit of crit).

Bourrasque d'ombres gives 285 haste and 340 spell power (so 90 haste vs 46 spell power, some crit and a long ramp up time, but the blue trinket might even win)

just check Carte de Sombrelune : Volcan, the average values are 321 mastery (u can reforge a chunk of that into haste) and 1600 intellect for 12 seconds with 45 sec icd and 30% proc chance, procs from dots = 384 intellect on average (422.4 spell power) and a bonus direct dmg of ~1200 that can also crit and scales with masteries (fire dmg for fire mages, destro and demo locks).
so 321 mastery, 384 intellect and a small direct dmg vs 194 haste and 351 intellect, its better from every single aspect.

sure, the darkmoon card trinkets are way more expensive, but for being the same itemlevel, the differences are kinda huge.
the only real benefit of this trinket is the easy way to obtain it :)

In conclusion, it's a good trinket for the current content, im going to use it too. but volcano, heroic 372s, as well as crit trinkets for classes that preffer crit are still quite better and as soon as new content is released, even the worse new trinkets might outweight this one

Am I missing something in comparing a starter raiding item to the best possible items in this tier?

The reason it has "less" points statistically is because you are comparing the effect of trinkets to a part of the the alchemist stone. The alchemist stone has 195 haste and +40% to health and mana potions. It would be fair to compare that to the +17 sp per application on Gale of Shadows or to the 900-1500 damage on proc and 1600 int of the Darkmoon Card: Volcano. The socket on the alchemist stone also eats into the stat budget but you also gain more flexibility via gemming.

"In conclusion", I am downrating you for less than useful evaluation of the items at hand.

Edit: My reply is to the OP, not you, SelanveenUSMaiev. You actually backed up your support for the trinket whereas the original poster only made off the cuff remarks about why he thought it was a worthless trinket.

This trinket, and especially the haste on it, seems underbudget when you compare it to Gale of Shadows

Not mention the additional mana regen from int, or the 40% increase in healing and mana potions.

I can't imagine that blizzard could possibly budget spellpower, and intellect the same considering all the additional benefits gained from intellect.

Very nice trinket for any caster class, its obviously good for a dps, int and haste plus the socket, but its also really good for healers too, the int increases mana pool and the effect of things like Hymn of Hope, plus theres haste and a socket. Overall, very nice trinket for anything that casts spells.

Amazing craftable trinket for such a small cost in terms of mats and can skill you up. 351 Int and 194 Haste. The mana potion increase applies more to healers, going from a 10k mana pot to 14k is pretty awsome.

Also note, these are only unique equipped, so if you have two very different specs (ie my holy/prot specs) you dont have to choose one overall, you can have one each spec :)

Does the 40% increased effect stack with Mixology's increased effect? The tooltips for both are confusing. Couldn't find the Mixology potion benefit (%) on Wowhead. If only Alchemists can use this trinket, why wouldn't the effect stack with Mixology?

I'm not sure how this works but my priest has max alchemy. Are you only allowed to learn one type of Alchemist stone? She learned Lifebound Alchemist Stone. I would really like the Vibrant Alchemist Stone.

If you plan on making this trinket as well as Flacon d'amélioration.. STOP! Do not make the same mistake I did. Go make the Flacon d'amélioration first and make this trinket second. You will gain 10 skill points of alchemy instead of 6.

You can have ONLY 1 of this as an alchemist. I made a 2nd one and it won't let me equipted. And it soulbound CAN'T sell or trade.
