This is the first instance you can zone into at the Cavern of Times. It requires you to complete the quest "
The Caverns of Time
" to enter, which requires level 66.

Step 1: Blow up the interment camp.
One person needs to grab the explosives off the dragons at the beginning. Clear out the 5 lodges and then click the barrels inside. The first boss comes after you set them on fire so make sure you drink up and buff up before setting the last explosive. He is a warrior so melee DPS, watch for the whirlwind and run away (strafe, not back peddle) from it so you don't take a 2k hit. Priests, watch for the mortal strike and be ready on those shields if it brings your tank low on hp. If he fears and goes after a caster, drag him to your tank who will be immobilized.
Step 2: Rescue Thrall.
Go into the keep at the top of the hill and clear into the basement. Everyone turn in your first quest and take his second. Once you have buffed Thrall and everyone has his quest, talk to him again and start the escort. BEWARE, once you start Thrall doesn't stop. During each fight, casters, position yourselves between the mobs you are killing, and the ones you will be killing next and do NOT loot after the fight. Immediately start drinking when the last mob goes down. Melee, bandage up cause those casters aren't getting much of a break at all and need to drink. After about 4 waves, you will get to the gates and the next boss will come in. Enjoy your first break while he and Thrall chat, but its a short one. He comes with 2 adds that need to be killed first. The boss is a pally so watch for the stuns and heals.
Step 3: Go to Tarren Mill.
NOBODY TALK TO THRALL. Rebuff and heal and mana up before talking to Thrall. He will hop on the horse and ride off to Tarren Mill. He will first stop in the barn, then the chapel and finnaly the inn. You will have to fight a wave of mobs at each place. Remember, Thrall doesn't like to stop so casters again position yourselves between the stuff you are fighting and where you are heading so you can drink and not have nearly as far to run. Once you clear the inn, you will find Taretha. Again, NOBODY TALK TO THRALL OR TARETHA until you are all buffed, healed, and full mana. Talk to Taretha and start the final event
Step 4: The Infinity Dragon Flight.
Run back outside and in front of the chapel. You will have 3 waves of dragonkin and then the last boss. The first wave has 2 melee and 1 caster dragonkin. They come from in front of the chapel. The next wave will come from the left (facing away from the chapel). This will be an identical wave. Once the last one dies, you will get a wave of 4 from where the first wave spawned (3 melee and 1 caster). The Melee will mortal strike so priests, have those shields ready for when they get MSed. THe casters will cast corruption, shadow bolt, and a curse that increases damage taken. Druids and Mages need to decurse that ASAP. Hunters, you will want to be proactive in your traps to get one that is incoming. Go to where the mobs will be coming from and drop the trap before that wave even spawns. Priests, drop shields on your tanks just before the last thing dies in that wave. You will have little time to drink between these waves. Druids, you will most likely want to hibernate the caster mobs. Also if you aren't tanking, you need to go back by the chapel steps between waves. And finaly, fear is your friend here. Priests/Locks, you AE fear will be really nice when your tank is trying to pick up those 3 melee on the last wave. Do them a favor and fear them off so you can get a chance to get them under control.
The boss is also kinda tough. He has Garr's anti magic pulse that will eat your buffs, he has an Dot that deals shadow damage. He has a knock back so tank him up against a wall. And finally, like all dragons, he has a breath weapon, but since you are tanking him against the wall, nobody but the tank should be getting hit. I would highly recomend a warrior or druid tank over a paladin. Pallies will suffer from their righteous fury constantly being dispelled and so they will have a harder time holding aggro.

When we first tried to clear the bottom we started on the left building, however the sapped mobs in the back ran around to the right and agro'd the next building over and we wiped.
We came back and cleared the buildings left to right and had no problems.
There are also 3-4 pats in the bottom area that are easy to clear but be careful to pull them to you and don't let them agro the building guards.

Interesting thing happened last night in Durnhold. We were getting ready to call the instance because most of us were exhausted and we were being sloppy. Our tank died, our healer died, our second mage died and everything went onto the Paladin. He bubbled me and ran back up towards the keep(we were on the bridge as you enter durnhold, having just finished burning the buildings)
I ran the other way to see if I could zone out. Now, I don't know Hillsbrad very well, having grown up on a PvP Server and avoiding it like the plague. So instead of running up to the Timeway, I wound up running past Kel'Thuzad. Now looking behind me I could see about 8-10 guardsmen closing on me. Couple wardens, some sentries...
So I went and jumped in the water and up onto the little boat right in front of Nat Pagle. I sat there waiting for death and suddenly <Leaving Combat> rolled over my head.
I lost aggro in the instance. lol.
Might be a useful trick for a rezzer non-MH to save from an aparent wipe.

HEROIC MODE:
It's not hard at all on heroic mode, just need some learning curves. There are 5 lookouts u need to burn down, and that place has 2 patrols (a wolf and a man patrolling around) once you pull them they will call 2 another adds making a total of 4 adds 3 human + 1 beast. The wolf is cc'able rest isn't. Just let ur tank get good aggro on all and nuke them 1 by 1 down. They respawn every 5 minutes or so, after u killed them make sure u burn 2-3 houses and then kill patrol again. Rinse and repeat till all houses are burned.
Boss comes, just make sure everyone stays max range, fearward/tremor totem on tank. Does mortal strike, whirlwind and aoe fear. Basically if u have a rogue tell him to move out fast on whirlwinds, make sure ur tank is topped all the time because the MS can kill him if he's low hp around 5k-6k. If the tank gets feared i'd suggest everyone to run as far as possible till tank gets unfeared and gets aggro.
This was the hard part of it, thrall event is pretty much the same but Thrall himself has around 100k hp now, let him do the tanking just make sure u kill the mages first they can easily 1 shot lowhp people. 2nd boss is easy pie, 450 consec aura, can dispel sheep on his party members. Just nuke the healer then the other add, then nuke the boss.
Last boss is pretty much the same, peridocally does mass dispel, just keep tank topped not hard.

For heroic, scatter pull doesn't work ( anymore ) and the first pat we tried to pull we got the group in the house aswell. So wait for both pats to move away and clear the first house first.

Concise Non-Heroic guide attempt from the perspective of a prot-spec Warrior.
Pull Difficulty 1/5: Note that I'm talking the difficulty of actually pulling the mobs to fight, NOT the mobs themselves. This instance neatly segregates all of the pulls for the first part of the instance, and then forcefeeds the rest to you via Thrall's event. It's pretty hard to foul up a pull here. The pats are obnoxious but there's almost nothing you can really do about them.
Mobs:
Tarren Mill/Durnholde:
Sentries - Two-hander swinging melee units. Hit for 450-750 a whack on plate. Become kittens when disarmed. Just keep them off cloth and you're gold.
Protectors: Annoying. Drops HoJ regularly, heals, hits. Adjust accordingly when your tank gets the hammer.
Riflemen: Holy Jesus I hate these bastards. Worst mob in the whole instance. Corral them into melee range or they'll perforate your whole party with multishot or scattershot your tank repeatedly. Oh yeah, they also sting, but that's not nearly as wipe-inducing as the damn scattershot. Cleanse cleanse cleanse.
Warden: Second worst enemy in the instance. Stun/kick/slam/silence these because they psychic scream and heal other units. They drop Power Word: Pain as well, but the psychic screams and heals are the real reason these need to go down first. Between scattershots from the riflemen and the screams here, it can be insanely frustrating to tank this place.
Veteran: Rogue or Fury Warrior type. Duel-wields and hits fast. I have no idea what class they're supposed to be since I don't recall them ever using any skills that I noticed. Nothing special.
Mages: Annoying but since mages telegraph all their spells like nothing else keeping them silenced/kicked/bashed/stunned is pretty simple. They also sheep, so watch for that.
Infinite Dragonflight Trash:
Slayer/Saboteur: Generic meleers. Same old same old. Keep off cloth, shield block, disarm, etc.
Infinite Defiler: Warlock, casts corruption, curses, etc. Dispell the curses and take these down ASAP while the tank keeps the melee tied up.
Bosses:
Drake: a souped up sentry. OG WoW players will find themselves screaming "BLADES OF LIGHT!" during this fight. He fears, uses Herod's trademark whirlwind, mortal strikes, etc. Hits harder than the sentries. If you're melee and not the tank, back off when the whirlwind starts. The fear is annoying, but the tank is rooted in place for it so drag drake back to him so he can reestablish aggro. Tank n' spank.
Skarloc: Souped up protector. Heals, hammers, cleanses, comes with 2 adds. Smoke the adds, then smoke Skarloc. Tank and spank all the way.
Epoch Hunter: A dragon, only without a fear and a pretty middling breath weapon that slows you down. To be honest I barely noticed this guy doing anything else. I just tanked and kept him turned away from the group and everything was just dandy.
Short Progression:
1. Grab explosives from NPC, fly to Durnholde
2. Do old-fashioned pulls to the pit, hop in.
3. Clear houses and plant explosives.
4. When the last one is planted, everything blows and Drake shows up. Mangle him.
5. Go back up to the castle, clear it, talk to thrall.
6. Chase after thrall while he barrels into several waves of mobs, swear profusely.
7. When you exit Durnholde, Skarloc shows up. Mangle him too.
8. Rebuff/drink/breathe. Chat up Thrall and follow him to Tarren Mill. Chat at Tarren Mill to start the last bit.
9. Again protect Thrall has he brings down an army on you in the barn, the church, and then the inn. Chat up the girl when you're good to go.
10. Go outside, kick over a few waves of Infinite Dragonflight, then show Epoch Hunter your extensive dragon slaying skills.
11. Fin!

Heroic Durnholde--Easy Mode Strat
If you've ever tried Heroic Durnholde, u know that it's a pain. Well, we figured out a super easy-mode strat today. Clear the couple of trash mobs on the way in.
Group composition:
1. Healer
2. Prot War
3. Mage
4. Mage
5. *Rogue (imp sap)
There are three pats that u need to mark with a symbol. One pat above, 2 pats below that go in front and behind the houses. The pat is a human and a dog. You can poly the dog, but the human cannot be CC'd. In addition, he summons two more adds that cannot be CC'd. If you trigger the pats, it = instant wipe.
This is what you do. The rogue has to carefully stealth around and set off all the bombs. When the houses burn, most of the trash mobs despawn. More importantly, the impossible pats despawn.
On the far left, there is one 4-pack trash mob you have to clear. Do it fast while the boss leaves. Now for the boss, he has a aoe cleave (9k whirlwind) and aoe fear. Tank tanks him from below, everyone else nukes from above. If there is another melee class, you're better off standing up top and tossing stuff at him.
Congrats, you saved yourself 2 hours trying to clear everything.

Heroic Durnholde:
Prot Warrior
Resto Shaman
Shadow Priest
Mage
Hunter
*Patrols (Human + Dog) spawn every 10-12 minutes.
*Scattershot pull all patrols to prevent adds
*Beast tracking for all locations of patrols
First Half:
Jumping down into the empty open space; we allowed the pat coming from the left to pass by (this patrol spawns on the opposite end of the area; by the fifth building). The hunter scatter shot pulls the 2nd patrol (that enters the empty area) and mage sheeps the dog. Quickly clear the first and second buildings. Drag each pull into the empty space to kill (wardens fear and dispel) Waited for the patrol to respawn (which is in the entrance of the empty area, so hug the back wall). Nuked them in the same fashion. Nuked the other ground patrol. Cleared the third building. Ran up the path killed the 4-pull. Depending on the timer for the first patrol either waited for the pat or took out the fourth building. Cleared the fifth building and killed the patrol that respawned in the area. Mana'd up and took out the boss (stayed at max range; tremor totem; tank + spank). Took us 30 minutes tops.
Second Half:
Thrall has 100k ish health. Let him tank. Mages need to die asap; their polymorphs were a pain. Wardens were cc'd or nuked; they heal and fear and dispel...
And then my healer dc'd and never came back.. so to be continued?

On Heroic mode today, after my group killed 2nd boss, thrall stop and and we cant get him mountup , i try to agro 4 mob to thrall to get him killed, but when he at 1% he stop lose his hp and he not dead... so he killed all the mobs and still stay there like nothing happens, and we have to port back to sharath. It's happen before for anyone?

For heroic, if you have a rogue. Have him/her stealth into the houses, sap 1 (distract other if needed) and plant bombs. Mark every pat there is.
Having LoS does not get you agro'd from the mobs at the doors of the houses when planting bombs. You can plant when the mob inside the house is at the opposite end, make sure they are distracted.
When all of the houses are burning, the boss will spawn. You can pull him when you are standing at the bridge (not on it), and he will not agro mobs when he runs to you.

So since you need all this distract stuff, I assume a druid isn't able to do it?

I've noticed that Durnholde gives more than 902 rep. Even though we skip the mobs to the sides of the entrance to Durnholde, and the mobs near the tower to the right of the building Thrall is in, I got 902 rep.
Not to mention, if you don't talk to Thrall after you get to Tarren Mill, you can kill another 5 mobs. Just run past the farm and you can see 2 mobs together, and another 3 patting by them.
That's another 40 rep. 4 from the both sides of the Durnholde entrance, another 32 rep. 4 at the tower next to the main keep building...another 32. So actually, just taking an extra 6-10 minutes on the run, another 106 rep could be gained, making grinding that much easier.
Also, if your guild is REALLY cool (not saying mine is, they won't run with me, lol), and you know you can do the instance without wiping, you can intentionally let Thrall die on the second boss twice, each time pulling the same 4 pulls 2 extra times. 256 extra rep, but more time consuming.
Add it all up, you can get a maximum of 1264 rep from Durnholde, and with a better success rate than BM (which requires a specific setup as well as all 70s), that makes it WAY better for grinding, and more than likely assures that all the boss drops get DE'd for shards. Booyah. Shards go for almost 20g a piece, so...

As said before, for the Heroic groups, it is possible for a 70 rogue with Master of Deception Rank 5 to blow up the buildings by themselves, saving the group time and pain if fighting multitude of enemies.
To rogues attempting this: watch out for patrols with dogs as the dogs have stealth detection and getting within 30 yards of one will mean your death.
If the barrel of explosives if closer to the back entrance of the building, then sap the single mob guarding it (the door) while the mob that patrols inside is walking away, apply the bomb, then go back into stealth, unless the sap breaks or the pat sees you, you don't have to waste vanish.
If the barrel is at the front where two mobs are guarding the door, sap the mob that is in line of sight of the barrel, while the pat is walking away. If you do this correctly the other guard wont see you as you will stay outside line of sight.

Yea this is my new hated mission of all time. Our little monkey was nowhere close to getting smoked 3 times and when he died in the village he never appeared again. Good for us I guess. I love wasting so much time getting this done only to have everything bug up on us. Good times. It really is too bad you need this for BM or I would say don't touch this mission if you want to keep enjoying the game, cause my opinion of the company based on the moronic idea of some dev that needs to be smacked back into the real world went down a few notches. Avoid this mission unless you need BM and/or Kara.

The cloak is very worth it imo. because I used the cloak until I got the Sergant's Cloak in PvP, but the cloak will last you.

I tanked this as a 68 prot paladin and had no issues with the last fight, despite having to recast Righteous Fury. It was actually really easy, since I could prepare for each wave with a Consecrate and Avenger's Shield.
For the first wave, target the caster (the one in the middle) as soon as they walk out, and after they change forms, wait a few seconds and drop a Consecrate. The two melees will start to run off, but the Consecrate should bring them back to you.
On the second and third waves, get in position and start spamming your tab key. As soon as you get one targeted, cast Avenger's Shield. If you have an AoE fear in the group, go ahead and use it on the melees after the AS so that they're not beating on your back as you run to get the caster.
For Epoch Hunter, I just pulled him off of Thrall and backed up against the house across from the inn. After that, it was cake. Just spam SoR/JoR, Consecrate, and Holy Shield, and recast Righteous Fury if it gets dispelled. He was actually easier to manage than the three waves of dragonkin.

If you feel like exploring the place, you can easily do it without a group. Just go in the instance like normal, but don't go near Tarren Mill or Durnholde keep or the guards will chase you for an eternity.
You can explore all of the Hillsbrad Foothills zone, and when you get to the zone borders there will be either an invisible barrier or physical wall to block you getting further.

Stupidest instance I've done. And here's why...
Every time I've tried to do it, people try to rush through it and get mad when you try to figure out what you need to do to complete the quest given along with it. I think this is because people are impatient, they want the reputation, and the instance is rather short. So they rush rush rush.
In itself, the instance is rather cool, but people can take the fun out of it.
So my advice is, unless you're doing this with friends (recommended if you want to enjoy it the first time), figure out what you need to do before going into this, otherwise it's very easy to miss the quest AND have a bunch of losers whining at you. I'm posting this because it keeps happening. Seriously :P

Soloed normal mode as a level 80 Ret Pally. In T7/T7.5 gear, mostly epic'd out. The fights were trivial at best. So if you're looking to solo this place for rep and/or achievement, it isn't too hard.

I'm doing this for my Elixir Mastery quest (and trust me, I'm not happy about it). Since the 3.1 patch this week, alot of things have gone bonkers. Most of the week you couldn't even run most instances without getting stuck or lagged out, etc. So, finally we're able to run a few things pretty easily and we decide to hit this and get it out of the way. Everything goes wonderfully until we (with Thrall) get to the barn. We clear the barn, he runs out and we follow... but he poofs into nothingness.
The awesome write-ups here told us where he was headed, but he just didn't exist anymore. We continued to the Chapel...nothing. Inn, nothing... the girl (his friend we're supposed to "rescue") wasn't at the Inn either. We killed everything we could find, hoping he'd repop... but nope. After about half an hour of scratching our heads, we chalked it up to Patch bugs and logged. We'll probably abandon and try to pick it up again tomorrow... Now I'm wishing I would have done this a long time ago... patch weeks are *not* the time to be doing this crap.

I just soloed this whole instance as a lvl 80 Frost Mage wearing AH Epics.
Did it to be able to access Black Morass for the Alchemist Elixir Master Quest.
Using Thrall as a tank on Trash mobs and Water Elemental and Mirror Images as tanks on bosses proved to be quite useful. The only boss that was actually hard was Epoch hunter.
This Instance should be alot easier for other classes since i suck at Tanking and i can't Heal.
Hope this information is useful to someone.

im not sure if anyone has posted on this or not, but i find this place to be a massive money maker, at least for a casual player who needs some fast gold and hates dailies, im an 80DK, naxx25-uld 25 geared, i dont AOE pull the place and takes me about 25 mins to do single pull at a time, if you clear it all, i make about 50g in coin, and another 75-100g in vendor per run(vendor everything) and i pay about4g in repairs as plate lol, i am enchanting so im not sure if D/Eing stuff would increase profit, but the way im doing is fine, so do 2 runs an hour, that equals me making 150g-250g(on regular lol, not sure about heroic) in one hour of grinding
also im guessing if you did pull faster and aoe pull without dieing its only like a 15 mins run

I managed to solo the dungeon on heroic mode as an 80 ret paladin. I had around 20k hp, 4500 AP self-buffed, and epics lvl 200-226 ish, with Greatness Card and a few other tidbits.
Start with clearing the huts and setting the bombs, easy enough, but make sure you CC and watch the healer mobs in each hut. Lieutenant Drake is a bit tough as he pumps out a lot of damage, so don't be afraid to use Divine Shield and LoH.
After you've released Thrall, you will throughout the rest of the dungeon be facing packs of 3-4 mobs. The general trick is to let Thrall tank, and then pick them off him one by one. As soon as you do any damage to a mob, they'll go for you instead of Thrall, so be careful with AE.
Captain Skarloc is quite easy, but use the same trick as before, let Thrall tank and pick off the two adds he has with him one by one.
Epoch Hunter was a fairly easy, he doesn't do much damage and doesn't have any special tricks to be aware of.

I soloed this is a prot pally on normal mode (not sure if this is possible on heroic as i am not yet honored with keepers of time). Warriors, dks, and druids should also have no problem with this. Other classes might want to bring at least one other friend. Also, quests having to do with this dungeon do count towards loremaster of kalimdor.

There is a round tower beyond the keep where Thrall is imprisoned. It is guarded by 4 guards. The door is locked and you can't get in. But once while I was fighting the guards the door opened and then shut before I could enter it. I tried over and over to get it to open again but no such luck. Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone ever entered this tower? If so what is in it?

This dungeon will show up in your dungeon finder beginning at level 64, however you will be unable to access it through the dungeon finder until you complete the prerequisite quest.
As the quest requires level 66, you will be unable to queue for this dungeon until level 66.

Use

Easily soloable on Normal at Level 80. (shadowpriest 5.6k GS)
I timed it, it's about 25 minutes per run, and netted me almost exactly 900 rep. That's killing the main mobs on a normal route and not going walkabouts.
It would be hard to shave much more time off it than that because you have to wait for so much roleplay... maybe at a STRETCH you could get to 2,500 Rep in 1 hour
Compare this to Black Morass which gives you exactly 1100 rep at an 18 min run... again hard to be quicker since you have to wait for the extra 2 minutes after you kill the bosses at waves 6 and 12.
End boss on Black morass was marginally harder, but neither instance would be considered difficult at my level and gearing.
TLDR: KoT solo rep grind is quicker in Black Morass Normal than Old Hills Normal

I can easily solo Old Hills and Black Morass on normal with my Hunter (have been able to for some time now) and discovered I can also solo both on Heroic without to much trouble with WotLK gear I have at this point (mostly 232/245+ gear). I was going after Heroic Don Carlos hat and after getting it easily in under 30 seconds I thought "I'm bored, might as well see if I can full clear and get some rep." After clearing Durnhold and doing bomb event I talked to Thrall and started that event. I was being a little greedy and was trying to loot before catching up with Thrall (I can easily loot and keep up with him on normal) and he kept dieing on me. After he died twice I was like "fine I won't be so greedy and I will just stick with him" and clear up to boss at which point he waits for you to talk to him before mounting up and heading to Tarren Mill for that event.
It got me to thinking though, how many times can you let him die and farm the same rep over and over again. My thought is this: kill the four mobs of four up to Captain Skarloc, kill the Captain and let the two adds with the Captain kill Thrall, rinse repeat until you go cross-eyed/get bored or reach exalted. 15 x 4 x 4 = 240 (+ 250 for Captain) = 490 rep in about 5 min. Haven't tried yet and I don't know if there is a certain number of times Thrall can die on Heroic before you get a fail or something, but it seems to me that this would be a good way to eek out a little extra rep per run.
Full clear took me about 30 minutes, so 6 extra runs at the Captain would net an extra 2940 rep and would only extend a full clear to an hour (assuming it takes you 5 min. to clear up to Skarloc and kill him and you can do it six times without any penalty of losing Thrall for the lockout period by letting him die that many times). The one problem with my theory would be does Thrall glitch like he use to in Tarren Mill before you get to Epoch Hunter or do the two adds with Captain Skarloc despawn if you kill the Captain first. Eventually I will try this when I get back around to another rep run when I am bored and post my findings.

Tested my theory last night and you can repeat Thrall's Escape from Durnhold up to Captain Skarloc. I did not push it to see if there was a limit to how many times Thrall can die, but I did 3 attempts at this without the Dragon dude telling me he couldn't change time anymore (he always said the same thing: "I can turn back time to before Thrall blah blah blah but there is a limit to my power").
Some problems I ran into even with decent gear and buffed up a little bit are that Thrall moves fast giving you little time to recover between mobs and the mobs hit pretty hard even for a BC Heroic. I found it best to do the tricksy hunter things like CC and Misdirect to my pet and all that (pretty much anything you can do to keep agro off yourself so all you have to heal is your pet). If you keep the mobs from running into each other Thrall will return to full health in between, but if a mob runs away because of low health and they then agro the next mob you may be in for a tough couple of seconds which will either cause a reset of the event or you to be very low health with a full health Thrall charging of to next mob before you are ready. Frustrating to say the least, my advice is to not bother with looting unless you have someone with you (or a tough as nails toon like my pally who can just stomp right through and self heal in a flash) and burn the 4 mobs of 4 quickly to get to boss and his to goons because there is a longish pause after last mob at the bridge where you can kind of take a deep breath and make sure you are healed up and ready to go. Obviously, like I stated above in my parenthetical comment, depending on what class you are changes how easily you can flow through this. My Pally and DK treated it like a cake walk even though I don't have as good a gear on them as my Hunter (as a Pally you can Word of Glory your way through it and as a blood DK you can self heal while dpsing). The other tricky part to doing this over and over is burning down the Captain. One of his adds is a Warden which has priest style heals and the Captain is a Pally himself. I had to CC the Warden pretty hard all while trying to burn the Captain without agro'ing him to much (trickier than it sounds even at 80). On my 3rd attempt after 1 fail and 1 success (the fail occurred because I tried to straight burn the Captain without CC'ing the Warden) I tried killing the Warden so I wouldn't have to CC him. This made killing the Captain a piece of cake but then Thrall was able to kill off the other add mob (a Veteran i think) which ends this part of the instance. Overall, it is doable but would be easier with two people or on Normal. Of course on Normal you wouldn't be getting as much rep so on Normal it might be worth it to just grind as a regular rep grind (by which I mean full clear, exit, rinse repeat). The whole point of this little scheme of mine was to grab extra rep from Heroic mode which you can't reset. Good luck to any who try this (I know crazy rep grinders are few and far between) and I definitely recommend grabbing a buddy who needs Keeper of Time rep as well because the frustration of doing this right is not worth the extra rep. With one extra set of hands working toward the same goal it should be a cake walk.

I believe this is how it goes:
Old Hillsbrad for the Quest Chain to unlock The Black Morass-Part 1 talk to Andormu in OHB for quest. Do Erozion's quest provided by Andormu. Start Raid. Then Help Thrall escape from Durnhold Keep at about halfway (Quest), then Return to Andormu. Once Raid is over head to the The Black Morass after speaking to Andormu for quest. Inside the Black Morass talk to Sa'at for quests, then head to blasted lands. Open the Dark Portal then return to Andormu.

I decided to solo this as a prot pally to get from 60% at lvl 69 to 70. I didn't know if I could, but it was definitely a worthy challenge as the mobs are 66+. Everything is easy until the very end where you must fight the three packs prior to engaging
时空猎手
.
Regarding the Three Packs:
Make sure you always silence the caster to force him to engage or use line of sight to your advantage. Always make sure to use
圣佑术
when it's up and
炽热防御者
if you need it. The trick is to make sure you always overheal using your
荣耀圣令
. This means you should use
圣光闪现
to top yourself off prior to using WoG. Using this strategy, you can absorb large amounts of damage that make single target boss fights a joke, including Epoch Hunter. I also used
惩戒光环
and
洞察圣印
, which helped out considerably. Had to
圣盾术
once during my successful attempt. Always focus one target down quickly during the three packs or you'll be overwhelmed. You can even try letting Thrall tank one of them for the third wave, but it's dangerous. I failed two attempts due to the fact that he died.
I'm not decked out in any special gear, so I'm sure it's possible for most lvl 69 prot pallies to solo this instance as well. Please let me know. It was a load of fun and it was very profitable. Good luck to others that attempt to solo at a low level. =)
Items to bring along:
1.
次级护盾符文
<-- Will save you during the three packs if you put it on in between the fights.
2.
次级结界符文
<-- Only need one for the entire run. It's pretty useful.
3.
超级治疗药水
and
超级法力药水
<-- Just in case. I think I might've had to pop a mana potion at one point.

I'm not sure if the heroic version is bugged or not, but i was going solo as a lvl 85 destro lock. I have some trouble with my FPS from time to time and lag. When my FPS corrected, I had died and Epoch was stuck at 1hp and was wailing on Thrall. When Thrall got down to 1hp, they stayed locked in a unending fight till Thrall finally died. My dots were still active on Epoch so he should have died instead of staying at 1hp. When I released and tried to go back in, I got a msg saying that I was unable to zone in while an encounter was in progress. Anyone else experience this?

Did a solo (85) rep run.
Kind of a pain because of how spread the mobs are. Otherwise pretty basic burn down.
When doing the Thrall escape section, I left him with one mob to kill while I looted all the others. This prevented him from getting himself into trouble while I was stuck looting.

So, with the release of End of Time, it's finally obvious why the Infinite Flight was trying to stop Thrall from every escaping from Durnholde: Since Thrall is a part of the group that goes into the Future to kill Murozond to open up the pathways to the Past(its time travel, don't think to hard), we can definitely tell why they wanted the future world shaman dead before he gains his power.

As of Patch 4.3, All Outland dungeons and Northrend dungeons will recognize Home Faction tabards added in Cataclysm. (Such as the Gilneas Tabard.)
Outland dungeons will continue to give the rep they gave before 4.3 in addition to whatever faction tabard you're wearing.
(An alliance character wearing a Gilneas Tabard in Hellfire Ramparts will receive 15 Gilneas faction rep per kill, and still receive the normal 5 honor hold rep per kill as well.)

Soloed last night as a 70 prot pally (since no one wants to do anything besides 4.3 Dungeons and i really want T6 gear). Nothing too special for gear: 2 epic 2.4 badge pieces, 4 Cobalt pieces, half/half blues/greens, seal of insight and Blessing of might (until third wave of Dragonkin), 12K armor, 12K health unbuffed, buffed Thrall with Kings for the extra health.
I had no problems with the instance until the infinite dragon flight. First two waves are no problem:
First wave: standing next to Thrall, target the middle dragonkin while Epoch is talking. When they attack hit him with an avenger shield to interrupt the spell casting forcing him to come attack in melee range, pop Consecration, stack divine protection and holy shield, pop holy wrath, and spam HoTR/Judgement/holy wrath off cooldown. Should burn the first three pretty easily. Use holy power on WoG and flash of light as necessary.
Second wave: re-apply divine protection and holy shield if off cool down, wait for the two melee dragonkin to reach you so that Thrall engages, then run straight for the caster and use Hammer of Justice to interrupt, Judgement, then the cycle described above to burn the second wave.
Here is where I failed several times either I died of thrall dies. On my successful attempt:
Third wave: Thrall runs back to the middle of Tarren Mill and the dragonkin attack him. Use this time to replenish your health/mana, re-apply Seal of Insight and switch to Kings (from Might). When Thrall is down to a couple Thousand health, cast Hand of Protection, stack divine protection and holy shield, run through the melee dragonkin and cast holy wrath and head straight for the caster, stun him, and burn down ASAP using the first wave strategy. Be ready to Ardent Defender and Flash of Light/WoG when needed. If you can do it without using your Bubble, it will be a big help with the Epoch Hunter.
Switch back to Might for the Mp5. If possible, let Thrall tank the Epoch and heal him as long as possible. When you can't keep up the heals, spam all your spells for the burst damage and threat, apply shields as described above, and bubble/ardent defend when needed, over heal as much as possible with Flash/Holy light... divine light if down to 3K health and can't bubble/ardent defend.
I know this is too long and no one will read it, or will down rate because I'm detailing a BC dungeon the morning after 4.3 releases but This is relevant to my level and my goals (getting T6 gear).

As a side note as of Patch 4.3 we got new Rare Spawns that match some of the ones in Hillsbrad which include:
Optimistic Benj and Little Samras. Optimistic Benj resides on his rocky home the south of the River (Level 26 Rare) and Little Samras resides on the hilltop where he would normally spawn in Hillsbrad (Level 26 Rare) they are both Friendly however I was on my Paladin at the time so I could not beast lore them. Optimistic Benj is of a Orange Turtle Color and Little Samras is of a BearCubDefault Skin. I do hope Blizzard changes this to make them Neutral at the very least so we Hunters can tame them.

Small detail:
If you enter during the Winter Veil there will be christmas trees in various places throughout the instance.
NPCs need to feel xmas joy too.

Soloed today on my 70 B.E. Pally Tank. Dealt extreme damage on mobs rarely healing making the run go smooth. Can be done with a little twinkness. My Stamina 21k. Did full run quicker than I've seen some groups. Still waited on Thrall overtanking him even though he had my back, so you could call it a duo if you want. Only had to fully heal back up once on Epoch Hunter. No deaths. I just did it for the self challenge. On normal.

Did this several times on my alt. If you want to get the thrall quest completed in 1 run I suggest you run downstairs and talk to thrall when your group is fighting the 4 mobs. People are stomping this instance and you don't want to see him on the loose before you get the chance to talk to him.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but here goes:
After you rescue thrall and kill the captain DO NOT leave thrall by himself ... as the neutral patrols along the road will aggro to him and start attacking.
Edit** i have no idea why this has been downvoted, as the information here is true...

I have just ran through Old Hillsbrad Foothills/Durnholde Keep and wanted to mention, not only did I not have this achieve ( :[[ haha), I was able to collect 20 bolts of Netherweave cloth. This seems to be quite the efficient way of not only gaining rep with the Keepers of Time but collecting said material as well. I looted about 90% of mobs, running it as an 85 Belf Lock solo, quite easy and fast too!
I hope this has helped anyone out there who may be looking for a quicker way to get the cloth and rep! Kills two birds with one stone!
Cheers!

If you're here for Don Carlos, he is only available on Heroic difficulty BEFORE the last boss is defeated.
Normal:
I did this dungeon on my Priest at 64 & 66. I was unable to accept the quests at 64, so I queued again and was able to receive the quests at 66. I am unsure if you're able to accept them at 65 as I did not go in there at that level.
When you enter, you are able to mount and at the end of the cave there will be a Blood Elf and a bronze dragon. You can either ride the dragon or mount up and run to the first pull. (I believe either takes the same amount of time.) In order to ride the dragon, you must have a set of bombs on you. This is automatically given to you from accepting the quest from the Blood Elf, or you can speak with the Elf to receive another set of bombs to enable you to ride the drake.
Once taking the drake, you will then proceed to kill trash where the Orcs are down below. In each building there is a crate where you will place the bombs. Once all five are lit, the buildings will set ablaze and the first boss will come out and down the stairs, or around (75.2, 65.8).
Lieutenant Drake
does a whirlwind to members in melee range. Easily avoidable, but also easy to heal through.
Once you defeat him, go up the stairs into the tower which imprisons Thrall in the basement.
Note: If anyone is doing the quest, allow them to speak with Thrall first to turn in their quest!
Once you set Thrall free, follow him and the second boss will appear outside of the Keep.
Captain Skarloc
has two adds with him. He will cast a heal onto himself and his adds once they begin to get low on health. He also stuns whomever is highest threat.
Speak with Thrall once he is defeated, and be sure to FOLLOW Thrall, in case any adds are walking among the path. They will defeat Thrall. Once Thrall scares off his horse, speak with him again. Four adds spawn outside of the barn. Once they're defeated, go into the town and on the stairs of the chapel, four adds will spawn. Defeat them then head into the upstairs portion of the house. Four adds will spawn there. Once they're defeated, speak with Taretha. Outside there will be three groups that will spawn in three different locations. Each group will have ~1 caster, the rest melee. Once those three groups are defeated, the final boss will come down from the sky.
Epoch Hunter
does a spell in front of him that seemingly only affects whomever he's targeted (highest threat). He will also do a knockback. A buff he gets will remove and magic buff party members may have with each it. This can be dispelled off of the boss.
Once he is defeated, wait a few moments for your quest to be completed and you will be able to turn in your quest to the Blood Elf in the town.

If anyone loses Thrall during this, try looking for him at 52,41.
at some point in the road, after you cross a bridge (there should be a rare turtle to your left, friendly), Thrall will step off the road and go along the river up to Tarren Mill, and stop behind the hill that's next to the farm, so that he can infiltrate the city without being found out.
You'll have to speak to him again there before you proceed.
Hope this helps and solves the problem of " where did Thrall go? I lost him!" =)

I tried to open it with max lockpicking and Dark Leather gloves. Still red. According to what Captain Sanders says:
One white shirt fit fer a Pirate king to be wearin'!
One red sash that ye can put on yer head or yer britches...
...one enormous bag! Big enough to fit eight whole apples!
Sounds like it's just a cute history of the Captain Sanders quest chain in Westfall, where you actually get this stuff.

Been there, saved Thrall, then headed to the Southshore Inn.
The two pirates are indeed there, completely pissed. After a while (5min?) they go outside near the water, towards two little rowboats. The second rowboat has a little (locked) chest on (which shows the cog wheels icon).
The two pirates remain friendly the whole timeand cannot be pickpocketed (invalid target)
The chest cannot be lockpicked it seems
A large seaforium charge does not work either
we have tried a rather large number of emotes on the pirates but with no results.
Also bought some booze from the barman to get pissed to but that didnt help either.
Dunno. Maybe is it for heroic only?
or maybe there is an enchant to increase lockpicking?
Blizzard has put quite some effort in this, the dialogues are good fun, i can't imagine there isn't a way to open that chest.
Btw, while you're at the Inn, check the mobs around the fire.. You'll find the whole Scarlet Monastery Clan (Morgraine, Doan, Fairbanks...) and even little Herod *the bully* running outside.
Thanks Blizz, that was good fun.

Pretty fun and easy. It went pretty quick too. The hardest part is the second boss I think. We did it with
70 Hunter
67-68 Hunter (Me, lvled half way though)
70 Pally
70 Pally
66 Mage
The tough part is that the last two bosses will make you go through a few mobs before the boss itself, but you are given a bit of time to drink and eat up. It would be easier with a real tank and preist, but it was still easy for us.
Fun stuff! Can't wait to do Black Morass later!

MC or kill Wardens first as they fear and heal, riflemen have scatter shot and the others are melee guys. Head down first to the encampment kill patrols then guards, I think there are wardens inside so careful..after you clear the internment area...last bomb set and boss comes down the stairs leading down. Head up to the keep and Guy your looking for is downstairs. He runs to the armory and then out the fonr door. Tough to keep up 4 mobs of 4...mages in the groups go down first unless there is a warden. Front door of keep = boss 2 along with a warden. They both heal. Then to Tarren Mill..you have 3 chances to do this. Like they said above..take those defilers down first and any shadow resist stuff you have should be used. Havent killed the last boss yet

when the horde enters the instance then will be in disguise ... tauren become human and so do the rest of the horde .. I am not aware of the dreaneis og the bloodelf ... but I do think they just get a human ddisguise as well
评论来自

All horde races become human. However, at some point during the instance, our troll reverted to troll after her deviate pirate disguise wore off, so we haven't quite figured out how that happened. The rest of us changed back into our human disguises. Might've been a bug but regardless everyone gets a human disguise.

I'm wanting to grind my way to exalted with Keepers of Time and I'm wondering whether it'd be faster to run this or BM? While BM is obviously a bit quicker to do, it only gives 1.3k rep per run or so. Also, the wipe factor is much lower running this than BM.
Anyone know about how much rep you get per run from Old Hillsbrad?

This was a challenge on heroic mode, but we were able to rather easily defeat the pats so I'll share the knowledge with you guys. We never finished because two people had to go, and we called it a night.
What happens is that the lookouts - the pats w/ the wolf pets - do a yell "Sound the alarm!", which will aggro all nearby mobs as well as summon two "reinforcements".
We had a priest on heals, lock/mage/shammy on DPS, and a pally (me) tanking.
FIRST - once you're in the pit, wait for the two pats to show up and stick a mark on them. I use triangle and circle, usually. Once they're both gone - pull the first four pull. Mage sheeped the rifleman, I tanked the warden and two sentries. I ran straight back to the wall furthest from where the pat shows up - and our mage sheeped the rifleman when it was within shooting distance of me tanking. I threw down consecration and that was that.
SECOND - Make sure that both pats are nowhere near each other. Pull the one that comes into the pit first - it will make this a much easier challenge. I stood on the small metal grate in the middle of the pit, with my entire party in there. I ran forward and pulled with avenger's shield, then ran back to the circle and consecrated. The two reinforcements went to attack our priest, but came after me instead once they hit the AOE. Once all the mobs were on me, I ran away from the group and tanked all of them. The lookout was immune to my stun (confirmed - always immune), and earlier one of the reinforcements was immune to sheep (I cannot confirm that they are or are not, we might've hit a bug early on). We dpsed the lookout so that he couldnt say call the alarm more than once in case it spawned more adds, we didnt want to find out. After he was down, we killed the dog and then the two reinforcements. The reinforcements were not immune to my hammer of justice, so i hit them w/ that whenever possible.
Hope this helps, and good luck! I'll be back with more info once I actually finish the instance =)

At the end of Durnholde u save that lvl 25 human called Taretha, so i looked her up, see what happens to her.
Long story short.
Her husband gets drunk and orders for her head to be chopped off, then he throws her head at Thrall.
Happy days.

Solo'd last night as a level 80 hunter, decent geared MM spec. It was fairly easy didn't get wiped although nearly lost Thrall once but recovered and finish pretty quickly.
I advise anyone trying to solo this, when your escorting Thrall, don't loot the mobs after you kill them just heal straight away and don't wait around cause Thrall doesn't give you much time to do anything he runs straight towards the next mob, so keep on your toes!
GOOD LUCK

U need to be lvl 66 to get into OHB, but first you must do the starting quest. To do this easily, port from Dalaran to the Cavern of Time, and the big dragon there will have a quest for you to fly in to talk to someone. Then you do a walkaround with one of the Keepers of Time who explains whant CoT is. Once you finish that, she asks you to go into OHB to talk to someone. Once you finish OHB you get into Black Morass.
If you dont have access to dal, just go to tanaris and it is in a mountain area on the east side of the map.
Also i would like to say that it sucks that the loot table here is only seems to show lvl 70 gear.

Just ran this on heroic. The last boss bugged out as well as thrall to having 1% health and just did that forever. Zoning out, resetting nothing fixed it.
