This is the new Ironforge Version of the Fishing Daily. I am not sure if this quest is buggy but it took me a few tries to get it. First step is to fly out to the lake on the easte side of dun morough. swim down to the bottom then back up. you should get these little crabs on you. Do not mount up or use special abilities like blink / ice block or it removes the cray fish. you have to walk west not too far to the cheff NPC and just turn the quest in there. This quest does share a cool down with the other fishing daily quests unfortunately there is no way to do all 3 in one day to get more skill ups like i hoped.

Little tip aswell. Turn of the sounds once you gotten the crayfish. It´s abit anoying when you run to the quest npc. =P

Once you use the bait, you just have to jump in. Don't mount up or you'll lose the Crayfish Catch buff.

While they will drop off if you get on a mount, the little buggers will happily cling to you while you teleport into a dungeon. Click it off and re-apply the bait again after the dungeon (unless you actually enjoy all the noise and the "crabs" jokes from your teammates).

This quest doesn't work if you use the item while in the water. You have to be on the edge and jump in for it to work. Save yourself the time swimming around wondering why it's not working!

As much as i love WOW i have to admit this quest is complete crap

When you catch fish, DONT use mount you'll lose fish...

When you get fish you'll have 10 min to walk to the cook in Gol'Bolar quarry to give him the fish

As a druid I'd lose the buff when shapesifting.

I also wasn't able to get the buff as a cheetah or cat when I was in the water.

Well, unless you're absolutely low on IF reputation, you can just do this quest once (to have it done for the mini-meta achievement), and either go to Stormwind or Darnassus if this one pops up in IF.

All in all, it IS piss-easy, and from what I've seen sofar totally free from competition, although the sound is definetely ear-bleeding annoying.

Makes sense to me that the sound is annoying for this quest. I mean, you're being mobbed by a small army of crustacens, so I doubt your character is enjoying it much! ;-)

After I get the IronForge achievement(since I already have SW and Darn), im going to pick up this quest for keeps just to turn myself red anywhere

Go to 84,52. use the bait on yourself. jump in the lake. You will hear a VERY annoying sound. There will be crawdad's/crayfish clinging to your clothes.

take the crawdad's hanging from your clothes to 75,52. Quest ends there, and you collect the reward there.

oh and don't forget to suck the head.

You can use a potion to increase run speed without losing the crayfishes. I also was in moonkin form, kinda avoiding the fact of those yacky creatures hanging on her nice clothes .. must be a girly thing.. :-). Potion name is Swiftness Potion.

As a Worgen, you can shift from Human form to Worgen form when using Darkflight without shaking off the crayfish.

It is my expert opinion that, while this method of catching fish might be more efficient, it is definitely not sanitary.

ok got few tips that might help when get quest take flight to Gol'Bolar quarry and from go to the lake use the bait you will have buff called Crayfish Catch when it's done go back to Gol'Bolar quarry meet cook Ghilm DO NOT go back to quest giver like i do and do not mount or shift to other form (assuming if druid) or else buff will clear

If you happen to be in the dungeon finder while on this quest and it pops, you will zone into the dungeon covered with squirming, noisy crayfish.

I'm not gonna lie, this quest kind of grossed me out. But it was worth it since it was such an easy quest to complete.

I did the daily fishing quest in Ironforge today, I've been waiting for this quest to pop for weeks as it was the last quest I needed "Live Bait", to get the acheivement completed but as luck would have it, I can't turn it in. The person it goes to is in Gol'Balar Quarry, won't take it, his question mark isn't highlighted. The quest says the cold water cray fish is 1/1 completed but the turn in isn't working for whatever the reason, and when you contact a GM noone answers you except to send you an automated email to the effect that you can go here and there but when you do you can't find help anywhere. No one has written any comments on this quest so your stuck with the fact the quest is not working.

I have completed all the other quests for this achievement and for some odd reason the quest giver is not giving ANY quests...not even old ones, i have been trying to get this quest for weeks, and no luck....any one have any ideas?
