make sure you follow turak runetotem (also saw keeper taldros)... if you can't find him he will already be fighting mobs in the area marked on your map

edit: if you are fast enough the some npc's will talk to you but after a while he will start fighting so if you don't see him he might be ahead fighing mobs... just make sure you are there when he s killing the big guy at the end so you unlock the tower and new daylies. it does seem weird that you will have to recap the tower every day but if it needs to be done there s no way around.

Is this seriously a daily? You would think once you take the tower you wouldn't have to redo this quest, but I've had to do it twice and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a bug as I can't seem to get some of the other dailies that are listed under Shadow Wardens. :(

There seems to be a problem with some people finishing the quest but not getting phased to the point where they can hand in the quest, A quick relog will fix this.

If you see the npcs on the other side of a little fire wall, don't try and run through it, it was an insta-death for me when I did it just now.

It should be noted on here that this is an either or situation. Just unlocked the druids of the talon area, and grabbed this quest thinking I would be able to come back and do "Into the Fire". I was wrong.

Noticed the quest could complete early while running up to the first mob and defending the druids, but it was another group already ahead of me that took down the boss and I was in range.

Note to self: Do not attempt while in a raid. Common knowledge, but took me forever to figure out why I couldn't get completion for the quest....

not really meant to do in prot... the escort npcs are not interested in helping you not die once you've got threat, especially since they're bugged half the time and won't come with you.

Normally you would follow the NPCs up the ramp and wait until they engage and kill all Flamewatch Igniters (with your help). You would then wait for the NPCs to engage the Flamewatch Sentinel at the very top of the ramp and after it's dead they would kill 1 more Sentinel or go for the Pyrelord.

What I did was attach the Sentinel (at the top of the ramp) before they would engage it and when it was at 50% health, I would have the quest completed without having touched the Pyrelord.

Now, this could be a bug but it's worth checking out (I'll do it myself tomorrow).

I found this much easier than Into The Fire.

The two escorts actually help fight.

If you are not worried about achieves the Warden side is easier, IMO.

Just a warning, your Druid and Warden can die to the Pyrelord.
They will stand in the firey circle the Pyrelord casts on the ground while it explodes, a few shots of it will kill them.

If they die you have to start all over again.

Don't invite them to your raids.

Let's put aside the logic of the quest and its status as a daily for a moment. I have found that this quest is the best choice for completing the Molten Front dailies quickly.

Once one has completed the 3 grinds for reinforcements and opened all the Molten Front dailies we get a total of 17 daily quests. The first 4 come from quest givers at the Shrine of Malorne while the remaining 13 come from quest givers in the Molten Front. My recommendation for the most efficient way to do the quests to earn money is as follows:

1. Turn in the quest The Protectors of Hyjal to General Taldris Moonfall and accept his 2 dailies.
2. Accept the quest Burn Victims from Captain Irontree.
3. Enter the cave to see if Ricket has a daily there and accept it if she does.
4. Accept the quest from Rayne Feathersong just outside the cave entrance.
5. Accept the quest from Avrilla.

At this point you will have 5 or 6 dailies depending on whether Ricket has one to offer in the cave. Complete those quests which opens the next group of 7 or 8 quests. Once you have completed all the achievements related to the Furnace, Molten Flow, and Fireplume Peak, the quest line that follows from The Forlorn Spire goes a lot quicker than those that follow Into the Fire. The net from the full 17 quests plus vendor trash less repairs averages over 300 gold per day for a little over an hour's game play plus 31 Marks of the World Tree which can be turned in for 1 Zen'Vorka's Cache and any materials from disenchanting the green in there. All in all not a bad money maker for the time involved.

Utterly useless information but somehow I felt the need to see what happened if I were dead when the cut scene started. I let the Pyre Lord hurt me a fair amount then finished him and as the druid was talking aggrod the nearby mobs. They killed me and I watched the tower fall from ground level. The best bit was that at the time it would have phased living me into the quest area dead me stayed behind. I got to see the tower rebuilt: It grows back out of the ground rather than just appearing. Weird.

this is a complete bug quest....done it 3 times today and didnt get credit for any of them. Im droppin it and not attempting it again. So much easier not even worrying bout it. Blizz really sucks ass anymore, please go back to BC days.

If your a warrior without the right gear for this quest, do not aggro the Pyrelord, Let the NPC's that your with aggro him first. Then all you have to do is just avoid his attack. My itl is currently 346 for my warrior and he still died. And I really think you get more dailies with Into the fire. I'm not sure though.

I died 3 times. The second time was because I ran thru the flames. Please... I've said all the comments to myself already about flames. Anyway, The third time I returned to Kill him, I had four helpers instead of the standard two! Killed him fast. Dont drop the quest. Just return to bottom of ramp and go again.

Used to do this daily with no issues. Today I must have sat for 20 minutes killing sentinels - they never ran out - just kept coming and coming. Is there something new to this quest?

I haven't noticed any comments about the chest that occasionally spawns in this area. I am not sure but I believe it to be 1 chest that has multiple spawn points. It is a grey, metallic chest and not locked. It usually contains one blue. I found it once inside the Igneous Depths (the location of the quest Enduring the Heat) on the ledge with the separate rune that is only accessible by jumping into the vents. Most frequently I find it on the tall outcrop of rock platforms inhabited by the orange spiders next to the Forlorn Spire. One finds it most often while doing the Flame Spider Queen quest. Some of those orange spiders can be targeted from the ground. They will send out a thread of spider silk and pull the player to them. They are easy to kill. Once half way up the pile of rocks one can target spiders at the same level who will pull the player from platform to platform, spider to spider until one is on the side of the outcrop facing the Lava Fields. There on a platform by itself may be the chest just waiting to be looted.

I don't know if it has spawn points in the Molten Flow or Fireplume Peak. I have done those quests less frequently than I've done The Forlorn Spire. I suspect that it may spawn there too. The blues looted from the chest don't sell well on the auction house any longer but they provide an occasional Maelstrom Crystal. Still not a bad reward.

Go there and escort one of her druids to the tower with any forces that she can spare. You'll have quite a fight ahead of you - make sure the druid lives to see the end of it or they'll not be able to seize the tower.]
