At the moment, on a medium pop server, this quest is kind of frustrating.

At any one time there is generally a constant rotation of around 6-12 other players permanently spawn camping the mobs, and speed tagging anything that moves. Respawn rate is fairly slow and competition to tag a ghost as soon as it spawns is fierce, ruthless and intense - turning a quest that would probably take around three minutes if you were alone, into a dog-eat-dog competition with others that can take anything up to 30 minutes to finish, depending on your level of ruthlessness, speed of reactions, and ability to handle multiple mobs.

It's a free-for-all in which classes with instant ranged casts will not hesitate to instantly DOT a ghost at the same time as a melee is running toward it, and then tag another, leaving the ignorant melee to distract the first one for them. Mounted players constantly circling the area, racing round the circuit in attempts to beat others to spawns is a common sight - Though the most favoured technique seems to be to find your own little 'patch' within the town, directly on top of spawn points, and camp there, only moving when necessary. Even then, opportunistic players will often try to rush in a beat you to a spawn. You need fast reflexes and a steady nerve to prevail.....

For those who prefer a less stressful play style, grouping up with your rivals is the obvious solution, at least in theory.... In practice, it's surprising how reluctant some people are to do this, or accept your offer of a group.. even if you whisper them first.

I'm personally hoping that things will settle down a bit in Tol Barad over the coming weeks, as I don't find this intense competition for mobs particularly fun.
