This quest in picked up by Crazy Larry.

Walk right outside the camp and Lil' Crazy Larry will be on your right hand side. I will submit a screen shot of him as well. If you talk to him you can choose to have him load you into the cannon. Doing this loads you in, and a few seconds later it will blast you across the water, landing on the ship. Be aware you might take some damage from this. Also, there will be 3 or so Giblins right next to where you land, so be prepared for this.

There are 3 items you need to pick up from the ship:
Thousand-Thread-Count Fuse
Extra-Pure Blasting Powder
Stack of Questionable Publications

One is on the deck of the ship itself, the other two are underneath the deck, in pretty much opposite sides of the ship. There are some mobs around, so be aware if you're leveling.

After picking up the 3 items, there is a cannon on the top deck you can "talk too" and it will give you the option to load yourself into the cannon. The same thing will happen, and you get shot back to where you started, next to Lil' Crazy Larry.

Using levitate will change your course. On my way back using the cannon on the ship I ended up on the Temple of Atal'Hakkar.

If you get a lot of people expect to be there for awhile.

The powder is in the "captains room" on the 2nd floor.
The fuse is on the deck of the ship, near the mast.
The "Stack of Questionable Publications" is in the bottom floor, far end from the stairs.

Also: doing this quest gives you the Going Down? achievement from using the cannons.

I recently did this quest on my 80 mage, while a leveling hunter was on the ship. He had grabbed two items and I had grabbed the third. Being very impatient, I used the cannon to fly back to Lil Jerry and then used him to get sent back to the ship.

As soon as I did so they respawned. Could be coincidental, but all three items respawned simultaneously even though he had grabbed his first two much earlier than I grabbed the third.

If there's a long respawn, it wouldn't hurt to try this method if someone gets the items just before you can. The worst that can happen is that you did part of your "waiting" while taking an awesome cannon ride :-D

Apparently, it is possible to miss the ship - I did this quest on a level 54 druid, and landed in the water behind the ship. I didn't see any way to get aboard from the water, so I ended up going back and trying again. The second try landed me on the very edge of the stern of the ship.

Keep in mind that the next part of the chain, which also sends you through a cannon, will kill you as you will land on the top of a tree.

Best to take a walk on the next part of the quest.

Waiting for respawns on the items, I tried using the cannon to jump off the ship and then back on. Nothing has respawned and no one else is around, so I'm betting it was a coincidence.

Here's why I'm commenting: when I landed on the ship the second time, I took two steps and immediately died. I didn't die upon landing, but upon moving. My combat log says, "Mer falls and loses 35,700 Health." (My exact amount of HP at full health.) I did not lose durability, however. So, that sucked.

Edit: Never mind, upon closer inspection, I did lose durability on my items. *shake fist*

Druids can shape shift to cat form in mid air to avoid any damage on landing.

I landed on the ship with 70% health remained. And for some reason, i got the Going Down? achievement.
This with my hunter lvl 54.

Did not take any damage on my lvl 53 hunter. No items were used to slow the fall.
Edit: Did not take any damage when using the cannon on the ship to return either.

I just got the acheivement going down with the cannon. was having trouble getting it with journeyman riding this did the trick.

I saw a post up there saying "long spawn time" .. not for the giblins! They respawn at an insane rate. Be ready to kill the giblin you just killed less than a minute ago.

And keep in mind that you need to talk to Jerry, not Daisy! I kept talking to daisy trying to get her to shoot me fron her cannon. You should turn right after leaving the camp to get to Jerry :)

If you haven't already received the "GOING DOWN" Achievement, get in the cannon that Jerry provides right outside the walls from where you picked up the quest, and he will shoot you to the ship. Upon landing on the ship, you will obtain the achiev.

Ahem, and uh, this quest clearly shows that you have to read the quest text before you happily jump into the water and swim to the ship, just to find out you can't get on except by using the cannon!

You do NOT have to use the cannon to get onto the ship. You can fly onto it as well.

I kill the first 2 mates and then move down to the ship level and each time I just die. Nothing attacks me, I just die. What am I missing?

As of this posting, something is flaky with this quest. I used a 55 rogue. Landed ok (have safe fall passive). I killed the first green midget and as soon as I stepped onto the lower deck I died.

Did the same thing again, watching my health. Health was fine. Walked over to the rope, killed the green midget rather quickly (full health), started to head for the stairs down, and died in a split second.

Third time I killed the first green midget, went downstairs, walked up to the barrel in stealth mode, full health, and bang! Died again. Nope, no fight, he was just standing there. No messages about what killed me either.

Fourth time, got the barrel, as soon as I got down into the bottom of the ship, same thing.

The last time I actually got the last item and stealthed back out.

I don't know what's up, but watch it!

(yeah, I know they're really "Giblins", just like to call 'em green midgets.) :)

Happend to me, too.
I suddenly died for unknown reasons.
Then I checked my combat log and it stated that I died from fall damage (around 3.5K HP = 100% HP on my level 55 priest) after killing the first mob.
The fall damage when landing on the ship was around 700 HP.

Addition: According to a GM I have spoken to yesterday this is a known bug.

I looked into the matter you reported and I can confirm that this issue has already been reported for our quality team to investigate further.
This means that the problem will be sorted out as soon as possible for everyone.

According to some previous comment this bug is in the game for at least 8 month. Seems to be a very thorough investigation.

My biggest problem with this quest is that I can't see any of the goblins until they start hitting me.

Well, I don't know what they have changed now, but I'm doing this on my 51 Shammy. Now, instead of the instant and spontaneous deaths you guys talked about, I can barely get one midget dead and move to the next than the one I just killed is respawned right behind me and starts attacking from behind. Or I get to the next room and one spawns on the other side of the wall and aggros. It seriously seems like if can't be much longer than 2 - 3 minutes. I had them respawning while I was eating and drinking right after I killed one on that spot. It's crazy! lol

I was hoping someone had a suggestion how best to complete this.

Having a really tough time with this one. My 53 Mage kills the first 2 mobs ok but takes a beating. While I'm trying to build my health, the first mob respawns and immediately attacks from behind. They respawn way to fast for a mage to handle at that level

Confirming that as of today, you can still get Going Down? with this quest. My mage is so accomplished!

Just a quick warning: If you have any abilities that can push the gilblins off the deck of the ship, resist the urge to use them! I did this. It caused the giblin to get back onto the ship from the bottom (how?), run back up to the deck and aggro everything else in there while it's at it.

Fighting seven of those guys at once isn't exactly fun. :(

I think I might be part goblin, because casting Levitate right after being launched out of the cannon seemed like a good idea.

Short answer: It wasn't.

Long answer: by the time you land, your fatigue bar is 1/4 depleted, and even with levitating back using the Worgens' free racial sprint, your corpse won't even be on the map.

Make sure you talk to on the NW side of the camp, not on the SW. She is involved in the next quest though, . Hope this helps :)

I was able to "talk" with the cannon from the lower deck, below it. Was quite humorous. If you have this quest try it, stand below deck just under the cannon when you are done and see if it will launch you from below deck like it did for me.

I think something is wrong with this quest. I have done it before on other characters with no problem, but today on my 56 druid every one of the mobs respawned within a minute. I could not keep up with all of them. I was a killing machine and still went down amongst all their weight. I will definitely have to come back to it much later in my leveling.

Ok I think I must be as crazy as Jerry and Larry, but I decided to try this again. I did it in 3 parts, dying twice. The first one you need is on the deck and it is opposite of where you land. The guy is actually sitting on it. There are 4 mobs to kill on the deck which even with the respawn rate you should be able to get the item. The 2nd one is in the captain's cabin. Most of us have done enough ships to know where that is. You take a u-turn once you go down the stairs. The third one is down the next set of stairs at the opposite end of the ship from the captains. And once you get down there it is the farthest part of that area. Actually if you organize your time and don't panic you might get it all done if you don't have to use spells that take time like druids, mages and priests.

I just completed this quest in one try, no deaths, on a level 54-55 (leveled killing giblins). I was shot onto the deck, moved slightly right, killed first giblin, then forward, pulled and killed 2nd gib, down stairs to captain's cabin, killed the 2 mobs. Sat and drank some mana juice, mob re-spawned (duh) anyway... killed all i needed to, got the item downstairs and then last on top deck. Keep up your shield, and a renew, and it's no real problem. After being shot back toward base, i cast levitate and had no fall dmg. (cast when you are nearly at ground level, or you will probably end up in Twilight Highlands and be ganked by 84 critters)

Honestly had no trouble as a 51-52 feral druid, using stealth only minimally. The only time I had to fight more than one at a time was getting to the cannon to shoot myself back.

I don't recall questing in this zone back in og Cata, so I didn't know the quest at all, but I did it on my hunter a few weeks ago just fine. I didn't notice the return cannon on the ship, however, so I was quite excited to try it out with a new toon, a druid.

I clicked on it, it asked if I was ready to return to shore, I clicked the dialogue option, I got popped into the cannon, THEN THE CANNON SPAN 180 DEGREES AND FIRED ME OUT INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN.

I hate my life.
