~~this quest appears bugged - all the cages are open and the prisoners are just standing there, shaking... no way to free them when they are already free to go...~~

EDIT: the mobs in the cages just spawns faster than the gates close so just keep looking for those locked cages!

The quest is working, but it takes a ludicrously long time for the doors on the cages to close after they've been opened. The prisoner inside that you have freed will respawn long before the doors close.

I don't even want to know how a prisoner managed to keep a sword or two-handed mace hidden on their person...

You turn it in from your quest tracking o quest log. It pops up like many of the new quests.

Freed all prisoners. Tried to turn in quest from quest tracking. Keep getting comment "Objective not in database." Abandoned this one and am going to try it again. Keep you posted.

Guide to Vashj'ir Abyssal Depths Alliance quests:

I found once i disabled Carbonite the quest was clickable - then just re-enabled Carbonite afterewards.

Couldn't choose a reward to turn this quest in. Simply reloaded my ui /reload and it worked after. =)

do i need to do a chain before i can get the item to drop?

I had completed but never got a hand in prompt or option to click a reward in the quest details, it's all done via the quest log not an npc, so I went back to L'Ghorek and clicked track quest, and then clicked on the quest under the Objectives menu on the right of my screen. This time I got the option to pick a reward. I don't know if you have to be inside L'Ghorek for it to work but that's what I did.
