There are 2 verions of him there. One sitting, and one lying. Talk the the one lying on the floor. Solved it for me.

Probably a mechanic bug when many people are doing the quest, as he sits up after you speak to him.

after a while clicking him while he was standing i relogged and found him sitting. thanks for the comment it really helps.

what the two comments before me fail to mention, is that gurrok is RIGHT by the quest giver in the grotto. gurrok's coords are 64.0/59.8, quest giver is at 63.9/59.9

the gurrok that was sitting down, was the one that worked for me... didnt even have to try the laying down one... infact, i dont see a laying down durrok.

Gurrok Debriefed (spoiler alert!)
The conversation with Gurrok proceeds as follows:

Many of us tried to escape the naga.

I am the only one who succeeded...

Tell me your name, orc.

I am Gurrok, of Hellscream's Vanguard.

How did you get down here?

We had them!

Wretched Alliance ships... we could've cut a path to Stormwind and put an end to them!

...But out of nowhere, gigantic tentacles reached up and seized our ship... broke it right in two!

The survivors... we were captured by naga as soon as we hit the water.

Tell us about your captors, Gurrok.

Strange that the naga would go out of their way to keep us alive.

They created prisons from mystical pearls - cells that allowed us to breathe, but little else..

They ship the prisoners off... somewhere.

Never see them again....

How were you able to get away?

One of our warriors broke free and smashed many of the prisons... we were free - at least for a moment.

Some swam up towards the surface... some saw this cave and swam for it.

I'm the only one that lived....

Did you see Nazgrim and his troops?

I do not know what became of them.

There was a constant flow of captives. Horde and Alliance, both - all barely alive.

They must've been hauled away beyond the trench, or they have perished.

What is there to report of these beasts, Gurrok? How do we defeat them?

Their numbers are too many to count. Their defenses look impenetrable.

I saw no weaknesses to exploit, <race>.

Gurrok is located in Deepmist Grotto.
If you enable 'Innkeeper' on your mini map search you will see the Hearthstone icon in Deepmist Grotto, keep swimming downwards to find the entrance.

In order to get you must complete before accepting.
and are NOT needed to take and followups, however that would make you unable to get.
蕾蒂拉拉的项链 have 0% drop chance before done and 100% after, however anyone can share you this quest as long as you are 80+lvl.
Anyone can take and do it's followups as long as they are 80+lvl. Quests above are NOT needed for it.
