Uh oh - I can already see where this is headed. Did anyone else immediately think of the SSO Daily Quest to give 10g when they saw this? I know I did. I'll bet that this is a very very very early stage in the unlocking of Icecrown Citadel.

According to what I've read, this should be available to anyone who (a) is not Exalted with the Argent Crusade and (b) has completed the intro quest The Argent Tournament. I'm Revered and I'm on day two of working on Up to the Challenge, but the NPC isn't offering the quest...

Edit: Per Sekani's post, the new requirements for this quest are that you must (a) not be Exalted with the AC (same) and (b) have the rank of Champion (new).

10g gives 100 Reputation for the Argent Crusade (more for human).

From what the Squire says in the quest text - "they put a lot of money into the collection basket when I take it around" - this quest might only be available during the little mini-event that occurs in the Argent Crusade tent when the confessor does the sermon; I'd assume it'd be after the sermon finishes that the squire would maybe walk around to collect from the NPCs already there.

I haven't stuck around to see the confessor do the sermon yet, so I dunno if that's the key to finishing this thing or if I'm just completely off my rocker. Can anyone confirm?

Caution: if you are exalted with Argent Crusade already you get NO reward from handing over 10g. =/

i am currently JUST got exaulted with Stormwind, and went to this kid, gave him 10g : got no rep for the Argent Tournement. So as to confirm NO REP for tournement, but rep for AC (which im alreadt EX with)

Let's clear some things up. This quest is available to everyone who is a champion. I'm exalted with Argent Crusade but the quest is still available for me. For those who are not exalted the quest will award 100 reputation with the Argent Crusade but doing this quest at exalted gives nothing at all.

EDIT: As with the hot fix this quest is no longer available for players who are exalted with the Argent Crusade.

I can confirm that this quest DOES show up if you are Exalted with Argent Crusade. Paying the 10g offers no reward at all if you are already exalted, beware. This kid suckered in 10g from me because I was too stupid to look it up here and find out you get nothing from it.

Blizzard should really disable this quest for AC exalted... or offer some Silver Covenant rep at least. Sure its just 10g, I'm sure there are dozens of people hitting Champion everyday who are exalted and getting nothing though... poorly designed, Blizz.

As of the hotfix of 4/22/09, it appears that Squire Artie will no longer offer this quest to you if you are Exalted with Argent Crusade.

I wish I could turn in my excess Champion's Writs for Argent Crusade reputation. I miscalculated and ended up with a bunch after I was exalted with all the cities.

Kind of cheap compared to the one for SSO. Only 100 rep compared to 150 rep of the level 70 one.

Even with the +30% rep after 3.3 it is still only 130.

In case anyone is wondering whether or not you need do it this quest to get AC rep, it depends on how long you are going to do the tournament.
If you are going after the pets or mounts, you won't need to do this. Don't waste your gold.
If you are only doing the tournament to get to the Black Knight and have no intention of championing all of your factions races, etc. then this Quest could be useful to you.
The rep reward is 130.

I tested this quest out to see if it will at least give some guild rep, but it doesn't.
