I just handed this in as a lvl 80, had this in my quest log for an age, was in a guild clearing BT (so had the bits completed VERY early) and just never got around to handing it in. Just did so and no title. The quest was DEFINITELY the same one from well before Wrath so this quest DEFINTIELY no longer gives the title however you do it.

Confirmed as of 3.1.2 that if you picked it up in the Burning Crusade, you can still get the title.
I picked it up in the patch before 2.4 (I think 2.012) and killed Nightbane for the Blazing Signet in that same patch. I never abandoned the quest and kept it until now, killed Gruul today and got the Earthen Signet. I turned it in, got "Champion of the Naaru".

I just turned in the quest (got it in 2.4), and didn't get the title or Feat of Strength.

well, i just attempted to do get this quest, (and yes, i am looking at the NPC, Skar'this the Heretic, so i know i am in the right instance, on the right difficulty setting, ) and the supposed quest giver offers no quests, has no chatting options, does nothing quest-related at all that i can see.

i am running this as a lvl 79 DK, maybe that might be it? does anyone know?

at the moment, it is patch 3.1.3, if that matters.

I just turned in the quest today, and I did not get a title or achievement. I had had the quest since I was lvl 70 (which was long before WotLK), I never abandoned it, and I just completed it last week. I was awarded 13 gold and 20 silver for my troubles.

I can confirm that having recieved and completed the quest long before WotLK but not handing it in until now, I recieved no Title.

I completed this not long ago and got no achievement or title. I opened a GM ticket and he said that I could not get either of them. After I logged in maybe a month later I had both achiev and title so it may just be a case of waiting.

I'm standing next to Skar'this the Heretic and just turned in this quest after leveling up a character that hasn't been played for quite a while and received the title 'Champion of the Naaru' as promised but no achievement. I had the quest and both signets before reactivating my character if that matters.

I just turned this in today not even knowing I could expect anything (just had the quest in my log since before xpac) and there it was, the title! but no achievement. Not really bothered about the achievement, just thrilled to have the title I thought was long lost! A guildmate told me he'd offered 10k gold to someone just for sharing the quest. Wish i'd known that before I turned it in...

i've been wanting to do the coilfang attunement but the NPC isn't offering up the quest, i am in H mode Slave Pens; he just doesn't offer anything.

is this the beginning of the serpentshrine attunement? i know it's not needed but would still like to do the quests.

I completed this quest today and was 70 both when I got it and turned it in. I took screenies but I don't think anyone will care enough for me to post them.

Forgot you still needed to do the quest for Nightbane even though you don't have to carry the urn around anymore, that was a pain. A buddy soloed Gruul with ease, although it took us both on our 85 DKs to just barely kill High King Maulgar...that was really frustrating.

But yes it's still in game.

still in game as of current patch just have to be level 70 and done the huge quest line in Shadowmoon Valley so you can do Trial of Mag and this one at same time.

This quest is indeed shareable, but you have to complete 瓦丝琪的印记 before being elligible to receive the quest through sharing. Since that quest has the same requirements as this one (Lv70 max), there really are no workarounds if you did not take it before Lv70.

It's useless to grab it though, as you won't receive the title even if you complete it now (except if you had it in your logs pre-WotLK). If you're a completitionist, when one of your alts turn 70 you can run the Slave Pens before leveling up to 71+ (you could even freeze your exp until you get the quest), but it'll only give you a few gold and XP points.

The earthen signet is held by Gruul the Dragonkiller. Gruul can be found inside his lair in the Blade's Edge Mountains.

The second signet is the blazing heart of a creature known as Nightbane. This mythical beast is said to reside in the hallowed halls of the prophet, Medivh.
