One of the three troll gods: Pogeyan, Mahamba, and Tsul'kalu. Tsul'kalu is titled 'The Earth Spirit' and is a large (very, very large!) white gorilla, using the same skin as Uhk'loc in Un'goro. Although his title is 'The Earth Spirit', he is not a spirit beast when tamed, but rather just a gorilla.

In the wild, Tsul'kalu has one spawn point, and doesn't pat very far from it. He's difficult to miss, being a massive neutral white gorilla with an earth shield. His spawn time seems to be around 2 hours, and is not shared with the other two spirits; all three can be up at the same time.

Easy Tame..
..he's the only giant white gorilla in the jungle didn't need npc scanner. Captncavemaan and I were out there and he got him then..3.5 hours later he popped and I got him while waiting for pogey. pogey popped about 20 min later..seems like gator will be up with one or the other at same time.

This guy's real life legend, has a story.

Here it is:

"A long time ago a widow lived with her one daughter at the old town of Känuga on Pigeon river. The girl was of age to marry, and her mother used to talk with her a good deal.

One day, her mother told her she must be sure to take no one but a good hunter for a husband, so that they would have some one to take care of them and would always have plenty of meat in the house.
The girl said such a man was hard to find, but her mother advised her not to be in a hurry, and to wait until the right one came.
Now the mother slept in the house while the girl slept outside in the âsï. One dark night a stranger came to the âsï wanting to court the girl, but she told him her mother would let her marry no one but a good hunter. "Well," said the stranger, "I am a great hunter," so she let him come in, and he stayed all night. Just before day he said he must go back now to his own place, but that he had brought some meat for her mother, and she would find it outside.

Then he went away and the girl had not seen him. When day came she went out and found there a deer, which she brought into the house to her mother, and told her it was a present from her new sweetheart. Her mother was pleased, and they had deer steaks for breakfast.

He came again the next night, but again went away before daylight, and this time he left two deer outside. The mother was more pleased this time, but said to her daughter, "I wish your sweetheart would bring us some wood."
Now wherever he might be, the stranger knew their thoughts, so when he came the next time he said to the girl, "Tell your mother I have brought the wood"; and when she looked out in the morning there were several great trees lying in front of the door, roots and branches and all.

The old woman was angry, and said, "He might have brought us some wood that we could use instead of whole trees that we can't split, to litter up the road with brush." The hunter knew what she said, and the next time he came he brought nothing, and when they looked out in the morning the trees were gone and there was no wood at all, so the old woman had to go after some herself.
Almost every night he came to see the girl, and each time he brought a deer or some other game, but still he always left before daylight. At last her mother said to her, "Your husband always leaves before daylight. Why don't he wait? I want to see what kind of a son-in-law I have."

When the girl told this to her husband he said he could not let the old woman see him, because the sight would frighten her. "She wants to see you, anyhow," said the girl, and began to cry, until at last he had to consent, but warned her that her mother must not say that he looked frightful (usga'së`ti'yu).

The next morning he did not leave so early, but stayed in the âsï, and when it was daylight the girl went out and told her mother. The old woman came and looked in, and there she saw a great giant, with long slanting eyes (tsul`kälû'), lying doubled up on the floor, with his head against the rafters in the left-hand corner at the back, and his toes scraping the roof in the right-hand corner by the door.
She gave only one look and ran back to the house, crying,
"Usga'së`ti'yu! Usga'së`ti'yu!"
Tsul`kälû' was terribly angry. He untwisted himself and came out of the âsï, and said good-bye to the girl, telling her that he would never let her mother see him again, but would go back to his own country. Then he went off in the direction of Tsunegûñ'yï. (Mooney, 1900)"

Tamed him 1:10 PM on the Trollbane Server. I was beginning to question this Ape's existence because I never saw him. Good thing I decided to camp by his spawning grounds.

Just got him on Uldum. Killed tigers and fished for a while then took a dungeon and when I came back, there he was. Freeze trap and BAM, done. 00:18 PST.

Got him at 47.90, 32.29. Was just wandering around and there he was. I am lvl 30 and was able to tame him. really nice.

Just downed him at 47.10, 30.77. Admittedly, I was hoping that he would pose more of a challenge, being "The Earth Spirit" and all...But I guess thats how it is for a level 28 rare.

Just tamed this guy on my hunter, at about 1:30 A.M. server time. He paths in the open field across the river of the Venture co. base camp. He is extremely hard to miss, because he is a huge-ass white gorilla in the middle of a bunch of tigers. I wish all you fellow hunters the best of luck on taming this one!

For those of you who wanted to tame this gorilla for his rare ability to cast earth shield, know that he does not retain that ability when tamed :( That was the only reason I wanted him.

Tamed this guy around 12 o'clock in the morning on a Sunday. Nabbed him at the south western end of his wandering area and didn't have to camp him. He was just there. But if you do ed up wanting/having to camp this guy to tame him, he will be easy to see no matter where he is in that zone. He's massive. For the best view though, right in the middle of his spawn area is a small hill. Mount up right there and you can see the whole clearing. Happy hunting my fellow rare collectors.

Saw him within three hours of my camping...but before I realized I still had my pet out, there was already a white gorilla carcass on the ground.

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY PETS OUT. Especially at level 85, your pet will one shot it. I know it sounds like a super retarded mistake, but I was half asleep, and started taming from my mount, so I didn't see my pet.

I was camping this guy for about an hour, noticed the Crocolisk god spawn so I went and tamed him, about a minute and a half thereafter the Cat god spawned and I tamed IT, and just after I paced back to my Gorilla camping grounds this bad boy spawns in and I abandon the Crock, tame this beast. I dont know if it is by fate but they all happened to spawn in a 5 minute period. Anyway Goodluck to ye hunters!

P.S. All of the Gods are HUGE, near impossible to miss, and Eagle Eye helps ALOT! Utilize it!

after siting for 2 hours i thought he didnt spawn there then i read to go on a little hill so i walked to the top and he had spawned right next to me all tho he dose shrink *SUCKS* hes cool

I'm not sure this guy or the other two spirits are rare anymore. Or perhaps RNG is playing silly games.

I'm levelling my first hunter this morning before work, and shortly after I ding 27, I see Mahamba the water spirit. So I think I better level quickly as you have to be 28 to tame him. I keep on questing and I see Tsul'Kalu. Two rares up at once, what are the chances? But I have to go to work soon, so I keep at it as quickly as I can (my guildmaster shouting go go go). And I'm four bars off 28 when I see Pogeyan. Yes all three rare spirits are up, the zone is empty - and the clock tells me I have to go to work. I'm already late. Aaargh - sick does not begin to describe the feeling. Thoughts of phoning in ill are dismissed - with some effort - it's only a game, it's only a game.

This evening I log on again; there's a chance, right? One of them might still be there. Mahamba is not, but yes! Tsul'Kalu is still there. Four bars go very quickly, and Tsul'Kalu is my pet! And would you believe ten minutes later so is Pogeyan. Up to this point I had no doubt I was just ridiculously fortunate. Bragging rights and tall tales for years to come - appropriate that the water spirit is the one that got away. One hour later though who should I see but Tsul'Kalu respawned. Is that really just RNG? If it is, I should buy a lottery ticket while the shops are still open.

I hope they haven't made these guys spawn every hour in patch 4.3. It makes the whole point in going for them.... well, pointless.

Just flew down to the rebel camp and decided to take a look and see if he was there. Sure enough I walk up and see him. He is a big white gorilla in the middle of a bunch of Stranglethron Tigers. Spotted him at 47.7, 30.8. Tamed him on a level 47 hunter and barely made a dent in my health.

If you wish to camp it and do something else while he spawns you can put it in npcscan.Don`t forget to activate"Sound in Background" from options.

This guy is so cool..Tamed him at Lvl 28 with no issues. The direction / location (47-31) is spot on, he's so big in his natural form, you won't miss him, infact he reappeared while I was questing in the area. Had seen him the previous night, but my level wasn't high enough so I couldn't tame him.

this map is either wrong or outdated. i spent an hour covering that marked area with a fine toothed comb and there is no gorilla there. disappointing for my hunter.

EDIT: checked the area again 12 hours later and he was there. tamed him with ease. i dont know why he wouldnt respawn the first time i looked for him.

Am I the only one who think of the White Gorilla from disney's Tarzan? I can't recall a name, but I think he had healing abilities like this guy too - so a possible reference? Just a thought though
