He'll spawn 2 adds at both sides of him which your OT should pick and be nuked as you'll continue on the General. Repeat and he's down.
Notice: He'll stack a debuff on his target with 25% more damage taken and should be switched with MT to OT every 3x stack.

How is it like Gluth? There are no adds that need to be tanked in the Gluth fight, nor is there a 25% more damage debuff. I think you're confusing it with a different boss encounter.

Fight is easy;
As he applies a sunder armor effect on the main tank that reduces armor by 20% per application you want to switch tanks every 2-3 stacks. The length of the debuff isnt very long and he doesnt apply it very often, and I do believe it can be avoided through dodge or parry (not sure, I just noticed that sometimes the stacks ran off my tank on the PTR sometimes without switching).
2 adds will spawn on either side of the area he is standing in the middle of. It is really easy to move him back a few steps and hold him kind of out of the way in the middle of the area and have the MT/OT just switch off every so often between add summons. DPS should just burn the adds as they appear because they don't really have much in the way of health, but can get annoying if you let too many live.

Just swapping tanks when the adds die is about perfect timing for the sunder stacks. At least, that is how it worked on 10-man when my guild did it.

His adds are called

. These spellcaster dragonkin have 2 spells:
Lava Gout
and
Blast Nova
. Only

can be interrupted.

The adds do very light damage with fire resist. Since they primarily cast it's not absolutely vital the tanks pick them up right away, but they should be tanked. Adds spawn irrespective of what's happened with the previous set.
I suppose technically this means the challenge on this fight is not getting overwhelmed, but considering how hard the adds actually hit I'd be worried about my graphics card being overwhelmed.

This applies to 10-man RS. These notes come from our guild's first attempt at the new raid (downed all three mini-bosses, had to call it due to time before downing Halion):
Compared to the other two mini-bosses, this guy is a piece of cake. He only has a couple of unique abilities, and doesn't do much in the way of raid damage. He does still hit the tank fairly hard, however.
Once the boss is picked up, the plateau on which he's standing will be re-surrounded by a wall of flames, so make sure everyone is up the ramps before starting the fight. He doesn't have a cleave, but still hits the tank fairly hard. He will use Sunder Armor on the tank, reducing their armor by 20% per stack, so every 3 stacks or so the tanks need to swap off.
Periodically, Zarithrian will use Intimidating Shout, causing a fear effect. Tremor Totem is very helpful here. Immediately after the shout, he will summon two adds (Onyx Flamecallers) - one from each ramp. The tank who currently doesn't have aggro should pick these up. They don't hit very hard, and are casters; their Lava Gout can be interrupted, while Blast Nova cannot. These adds spawn regardless of whether the prior group is dead, so AoEing them down quickly is key.
In order to tank swap the adds and boss, here's what I would suggest: The current boss tank targets the off-tank, and does a group taunt; once he has aggro from all three, the current off-tank single taunt's the boss and starts taking the Sunder stacks.
Given that we had little AoE DPS, this was a longer fight (We usually had around 5-7 seconds on the boss after downing each group of adds), but it wasn't all that challenging. The main thing is to down the adds as quickly as possible so you can get back to DPSing the boss, and ensure that you don't get overwhelmed by the adds.

On 10man normal, we were able to get the General down to 5%, with one boss on adds and another permanently on the boss. If we had a BL, or a bit more DPS, it would of been possible to do so without switching.
This isn't a suggestion to do similar, but something worth noting if you have a pretty ace Healadin and the DPS to burn him down fast.

Fun fact, just tried this a few times on 25 Man, and instead of the TWO adds (one on each side) FOUR spawn. (two on each side).
This makes it exceedingly difficult if you're a pug and have no clue what's going on.
Through repeated attempts and wipes, we did realize something. The dps NEEDS to stop on the boss and drop the adds as they come.
We actually had a total of FOUR tanks, 2 for the boss, 1 for each side.
It's possible to do it with THREE, but will be much harder to coordinate, especially without vent or in a pug. With only three, you've got to switch immediately between tanking the boss and the adds once you get two stacks (one of the add tanks comes and taunts off of you).
Figured I'd share my knowledge.

This encounter strikes me as a mixture of
Onyxia
and
Toravon
.
It's like you take the periodic fearing from onyxia, but combine it with the tank swapping and periodic aoe damage from the frost orbs from toravon. But in this situation, instead of the frost orbs slowly moving through the raid, they must be tanked. And just like toravon, our group found it easier to have ranged dps dispatch the adds as they come out, while melee stayed on the boss.
If you have a shaman in the group, I would recommend putting both tanks and heals in the same group, as to keep them feared at a minimum---just like you do with Onyxia.
We ran this with 2 heals and 2 tanks on 10m. On 25m I dont remember how many heals we used, but you need third tank to pick up the additional adds that will be coming out.
Edit: Just wanted to add that we also tried a zerg strategy. Got him to 5% the first, time, downed him the 2nd attempt---but 1/2 the raid was dead. Our 25m group was mostly in iLvl 251-264 gear, so we definitely had appropriate gear for the encounter.
In the final analysis, until your group overgears this encounter or has very high dps, I don't think the zerg is the best strategy because of the boss' fear, and the RNG nature of dps and tremor totem dispels. If you just keep melee on the boss and have ranged kill the adds and get back on the boss after the adds are down ( just like Toravon), its a reliable and controlled boss kill.

At the moment do
NOT
put tremor totem down for this boss. It will throw off aggro and it will get people killed, the first person that has the fear dispelled will pull aggro and unless a tank, die.
We were experiencing this during a 25 man today and it caused major issues. ^^

Tremor totem does NOT affect the Intimidating Shout. Fear Ward does seem to work though.
If some "lucky" person resists the shout, the boss will immediately aggro on them instead of the tank, regardless of threat. However, using a taunt effect right before the fear happens will keep him on the tank for at least the duration of the taunt.
The adds can be CC'd. You can use a CC to interrupt the Fire Nova, which is otherwise un-interruptable. Death Grip also works to interrupt.
Fire resist aura/totem is very useful in this fight. We found that besides the Blast Nova, the adds themselves are pretty weak and can easily be tanked by a dps if the healers aren't asleep.

2 tanks tank him at one of the entrances to his little hill next to the fire wall that locks you in, they pick up the flame callers as they come in, melee cleave them down.
3rd tank stands at the other side of the hill and picks up the other 2 adds that come and tanks them against the flame wall that locks you in. Beacon the 3rd tank so you can heal him without being in range of the flame wave, its 40 yards, beacon's range is 60.
We've downed him every week in 25 man, but it seemed pretty chaotic the way we were doing it with 3 tank camps (where the boss stands and the two entrances). I read this strat yesterday and we halfway followed it (with the two tanks on one entrance with the boss) and it was VERY EASY for the tanks to control. I (feral druid) pulled the boss to an entrance where a prot pally was waiting, and the 3rd tank (DK) pulled the adds from the other entrance. The pally taunted off me when I had 4 stacks of the debuff (probably will be safer to do at 3), and I taunted back as soon as it dropped off. The pally and DK held the adds the whole time.
