Reporting to the Barrens
You first report to Sylvanas Windrunner in Undercity, on
The Warchief Awaits
. After that, we report to High Overlord Saurfang in the Northern Barrens, on
大酋长的命令
. You can ask Sylvanas why she wants to capture Teldrassil:
You would ask a question of me, <player>?
> Warchief, may I ask why we want to capture Teldrassil?
Time is not a luxury we possess, but I respect your desire to know more.
<Sylvanas points to Silithus on the map>.
THIS has forever altered the balance of power in Azeroth.
Deposits of Azerite are being located across the world, <player>. Though we do not yet understand its full potential, it is clear that this substance has vast destructive capability.
What will war look like in twenty years? In a hundred?
How can the Horde hope to defend its borders if the Alliance controls the flow of Azerite?
> It is uncertain, Warchief.
What IS certain is that the Alliance will use Darnassus as a safe harbor for funneling Azerite into the Eastern Kingdoms. Anduin Wrynn will build powerful new weapons, and sooner or later he will turn them upon our homelands. First he will strike at the Undercity and Silvermoon, then his gaze will fall upon Kalimdor.
For the same of the Horde's future, we must be the first to act.
By occupying Darnassus, we will control the flow of Azerite and ensure it cannot be used against us. The Alliance will dare not attack its own city for fear of harming civilians.
With a single stroke, we will guarantee generations of peace.
> The night elves will fight us at every step.
The kaldorei will defy our occupation... unless we break their spirits.
We must inflict a blow that will show them what is at stake. They will need to lose something... someone... in whom they have absolute trust and faith. A symbol of hope.
<The Dark Lady narrows her eyes.>
Malfurion Stormrage must die.
As you arrive at The Crossroads, you will see the Horde already has troops ready for the attack.
Taking Ashenvale
Saurfang announces that he received word to drift his troops from Silithus to Ashenvale, on
兵贵神速
. You will then meet Lorash, right outside Astranaar.
On
Everybody has a Price
, you work together with Lorash to disarm Astranaar, by going around on a stealth mission around Astranaar, marking guards for Lorash to kill.
After eliminating the guards, Sylvanas arrives in Astranaar on
, praising you and Lorash for a strike well executed. Turning in this quest also sets Astranaar on fire, allowing the Horde to conquer the town!
After taking Astranaar, we're required to set a foothold near the border to Darkshore on
佐拉姆加前哨站
. Arriving there, you need to talk to Commander Grimfang, Innkeeper Duras and Dagrun Ragehammer to prepare the outpost for the assault on Darkshore.
Commander Grimfang says: Zoram'gar will stand ready! For the Horde!
Innkeeper Duras says: We are a small outpost, but I will gather what we have. The Warchief and her army will want for nothing - I swear it! Lok'tar ogar!
Dagrun Ragehammer says: My forge is always ready, <player>.
After returning to Astranaar to report to Saurfang, meet Sylvanas near the entrance to Darkshore on
保持警惕
. Arriving there, you will meet Sylvanas up in roots - literally! - as she is fighting against Malfurion.
Malfurion manages to retreat after making a wall with the nearby Wisps.
Malfurion Stormrage yells: You will come no further, Banshee Queen!
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner yells: Soldiers... No! Do not rush the--!
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner yells: Fools... At least now we know how dangerous the wisps can be.
However, the Alliance ambushes us shortly afterward! Defend against the ambush on
. After that, we will return to Zoram'gar Outpost on
to try and figure out a way to get past the Wisp wall.
On
低空速掠
, Sylvanas realizes the wisps are a temporary measure to slow the Horde while Malfurion's reinforcements arrive from Silithus - We will then attempt to disperse the wisps enough for the wall to crash down.
Nathanos Blightcaller says: A wall of wisps? Surely it is nothing our dark rangers and a few demolishers cannot overcome, my lady.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: The scouting party I led to Malfurion underestimated the wisps. They paid the price for doing so.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: We cannot destroy the wisps... not in numbers enough to matter. But we may be able to disperse them.
Zarvik Blastwix says: You want explosions? Buddy, you got it. Hop into one of these beauties and take it for a spin.
High Overlord Saurfang says: Interesting. The wisps respond to Malfurion's call. But what if more of the forest were to cry out for help?
Advancing Through Darkshore
With the wisp wall successfully dispersed, we directly strike Darkshore on
势不可挡
. After getting past the wall, we attack The Master's Glaive, by killing Night Elf forces on
, and destroying Glaive Throwers on
不堪一击的投刃车
.
After that, we destroy Sentry Owls and kill Furbolgs on
. Afterward, one thing remains... Kill the Burning Ancient on
.
A brief encounter between Malfurion and Sylvanas then happens. Malfurion managed to escape once more, and now Sylvanas turns her attention into the furbolgs of Blackwood Den. We defeat their elders on
, and take the Den for ourselves on
黑木洞穴
and
激进鼓励
.
With southern Darkshore conquered, it's time to take the naga settlement of Nazj'vel on
, which has Azerite sprouting all over. However, the Hippogryph Archers are already scouting the area, so you need to take them out on
, and collect some Azerite on
. We will then deliver the harvested Azerite to Blackwood Den on
. The Azerite is then applied to a chopper that is used into battle on
.
Sylvanas realizes this is a stalemate, as for every Alliance force we slay, two replace them. We regroup at Blackwood Den on
. This is where the questline currently ends on the PTR.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: Wildbend River is locked in a stalemate, and Malfurion knows it.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: We must stay the course for now.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: I will continue leading our soldiers through the wall while we await word from Saurfang.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: In the meantime, we will do all that we can to keep the kaldorei under pressure.
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says: We shall not afford them the luxury of a peaceful night's rest. This is war.
Content Speculation
After we finish the questline, World Quests are unlocked in Darkshore.
These world quests currently have no rewards. However, they do give reputation to all Horde factions. These World Quests are supposedly part of the
War of the Thorns
, the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch event.
