But, this is the weapon the drakinoids used to break Magmaw's will, just as you would used a whip or something to break the will of a elephant.

Which gives it its name, the "Worm breaker".

This weapon has the same model as the weapon wielded by Halfus Wyrmbreaker, so apparently it's as effective against wyrms as it is against worms.

Snagged this last night on my bloodtank. Very, very nice. As someone noted earlier, I don't see the Stoneskin Gargoyle runeforge visual effect on it.

Interestingly, this would also be good for a 2h Frost DK (as they value expertise, unlike Unholy, and mastery is a very good stat for frost, again unlike Unholy) but I'd side with others who have said a tank should get preference on it.

DPSers always have the option of going after Zin'rohk, The Hope-Breaker. ;)

I see Akirus the Worm-Breaker has a 50% drop rate. Is this on both 10-man and 25-man versions? As a Blood Death Knight, I would love this for my upgrade from Foe Reaper lol

Strength = Parry + Damage (=threat)
Stamina = Health
Expertise Rating = More Damage = More Threat
Mastery Rating = Absorbtion Shield.

My guild downed Magmaw for the first time today and this dropped. My Blood DK won and is now the proud owner. Absolutely fabulous for tanking, the mastery is great and extra expertise is always a bonus.

Ret paladin tag on there aswell... Expertise+ Racial bonus(I'm human) with mastery, which is in my opinion currently going as our second highest stat(Str>mastery>haste>crit) makes this quite good.

And it's huge and bashes worms.

Does anyone else notice that the icon is still a sword, while the actual item is definitely a mace? Why no fix for the obvious error? I assumed it would be fixed in one of the first patches but...

Easily BiS for Blood DKs, pre-heroic raids. 2-H weapons don't pack avoidance, and expertise is superior to crit or haste which are the only other stats that come with mastery on two-handers.

Especially for a Dwarf, who likes having even MORE expertise from his racial passive. Very good stuff.

Besides looking very cool, this mace's itemization is especially great for any 2H wielding Death Knight and Retribution Paladins. That being said, this is perhaps not the best weapon for Warriors, as they don't value mastery as highly as the previously mentioned classes do.

It is also one of the easiest Epic two handers to obtain at the moment, as it drops off of the first boss in Blackwing Descent.

LOL. You place haste above crit. Some Ret Paladin you are.

Edit: downrate if you must... the shortened cooldown of Crusader Strike is crap compared to what crit can do to your overall dps. Haste is not useless, but it has taken the place of where the old mastery was... last stat to worry about, first stat to get reforged away. Also, given the current haste scaling and cata's stat calculating system, it is impossible to reduce Crusader Strike down to GCD given our current gear options. At the very best, you can get it to 3 seconds, but any haste beyond that can only come from short buffs like bloodlust or the awesome Satiated buff from Cookie's fight in Deadmines.

I wouldn't say this is more easy to obtained then 沙拉格审判，末日之斧 (unless you are really lucky), for more then 3 months I killed magmaw every week and it never droped for my TG warrior, but on Cho'gall i got the axe on the 2nd kill. Now I'm waiting for another 沙拉格审判，末日之斧 to drop for OH. The axe will probably drop again sooner then I will see a 阿基鲁斯剿虫之锤 drop.

Do your research before you speak. Under the expertise soft-cap, it is the most important stat right next to hit for melee dps. At those levels, it has the exact same purpose as hit, but instead of getting rid of misses, it gets rid of dodge. As long as we're behind the boss, then parry isn't an issue. If melee dps ignored expertise completely, it would be just like ignoring hit.

Also, expertise isn't a tank stat at all. Blood DKs go for some expertise and hit so their Death Strike is more reliable, but Protection Paladins and Warriors, as well as Bears, should not at all gear for hit or exp unless they are extremely overgeared and have enough mastery/avoidance... and crit for a Bear.

I have this mace on my Fury warrior wich i dual wield with the Vicious Gladiator Greatsword.

The Stats are super for Blood dk's, however for fury warriors who lack the expertise and lose dps to reforge to exp, this is a great weapon.

I recently got this on my Warrior (like last week really) and replaced my 耶克里克的碾压锤, which I will admit is an upgrade, but damn do I miss that Crit... Oh well. Now I have more strength and weapon damage! /yay

Anywho, I haven't really noticed that the weapon doesn't show enchants; I figured it looked cool enough as is! Besides that, I love the weapon, even if the secondary stats aren't the most ideal for me as an Arms Warrior (I had to reforge away a LOT of expertise). Happy hunting!

P.S. Magmaw is a joke; getting this weapon should be cake and that's no lie!
