I just did some calculations for this helm Vs T11

Cataclysm Rare quality orange gem is of 20 ag + 20 crit
And with Cogwheel sockets for Mastery and Crit (+208 rating each)

This Craft Vs T11 has only 10 agility less. (40 mastery more but 40 crit less)
Quite nice given that this is a craft that you could access pre raiding even at lvl 81.

The difference of 10 agility comes from the huge +30 ag socket bonus on T11 and this one having only +20 that could get changed later on. Even if it doesn't it is a nice helm to craft early in the game that will let you pick up other tier pieces before the "nice" looking murloc face.

This and every other engineering helmet is exactly on par with other ilevel 359 helmets, in terms of stats budget.

However, what this provides is the benefit of going for the best itemization possible through the cogwheel. The current options are:

* , Parry Rating +208.
* , Mastery Rating +208.
* , Expertise Rating +208.
* , Haste Rating +208.
* , Hit Rating +208.
* , Critical Strike Rating +208.
* , Spirit +208 (this is the only Cogwheel that provides a stat).
* , Dodge Rating +208.

Also, remember that engineering helmets get 9000 ilevel points for being pure awesome.

No matter what the tooltip says, you cant craft them before you are level 85 because one of the mats, Chaos orb, can only be obtained in heroics and it is, unlike Frozen Orb, bind on pickup - so you will not be able to find them on AH. This is a bit shortsighted in my opinion and should be fixed

For some reason, these are a different color for Worgen Females, with blue lenses and eyepieces of purple and green, rather than the normal style of green lenses with eyepieces of yellow and red.

Better than 艾里昂之冠, not quite as good as 闪电充能战盔. Compared to the former, this is better itemised (inheritly) and has more agility, while compared to the latter the difference is a loss of 10 agility and not counting toward set bonus. However, if you had to choose which tier piece you get last, this allows you to delay the helmet as merely a minor upgrade compared to other slots of tier gear.

Of course, this is moot if you're a Jewelcrafter who, for some reason, has to gem their helmet.

Blizzard added the 神秘的齿轮 for use in PvP and it only costs 55 honor.

Currently Arena Junkies advises not to use the goggles because it does not have resilience. It now does offer resilience so do not overlook them when considering you gear acquisition priorities. With the new cogwheel these goggles are outstanding. Additionally, the goggles are reasonably inexpensive so making and extra pair of goggles for PvP is probably a much better use of you conquest points than buying the PvP helm as long as you complete the 4 set with the rest of the items.

I currently have 3 sets of goggles on my characters.

Hunter: 2 PvE (one with hit the other without so I can switch goggles between 5 mans and raids) and 1 PvP with resilience.
Rogue: 2 PvE (One with expertise and the other without for fights that limit getting behind my target or simply soloing) and 1 PvP with resilience.

The flexibility these goggles provide a engineer can be considered a "hidden" buff to the profession and even fits well with the feel of being and engineer.

I couldn't help but notice several variations of the goggles, but only one recipe. It seems that the class the Engineer is determines what version you get.

Which makes sense because a item level 359 cloth piece with Int would be a waste of mats for a Warrior who would much rather go out of their way for the gear if it was plate with Strength and Stam only. Which is good because the 208 hit cog is a must for Raiding.
