Since nobody else feels like saying something useful, this is the best protection warrior shield around at the moment, although the blacksmithing one isn't a lot worse if you need hit.

It's not the best, this one is the best non-heroic (due to higher mastery) and of course heroic version of this shield is obviously the best in slot. On the side note... you don't *need* hit, Vengeance is giving you all the threat you need, most of the tanks will reforge the hit to parry or dodge anyway... so this shield is clearly better than BS one (also, it looks awesome!)

Does anyone know who/what this Akmin-Kurai is? Lore? Reference? Something from the StarCraft universe?

For prot wars (and I assume prot pallies), just as is stated above, 布罗凯德的失落盾牌 is BiS until the heroic version of this shield.

Also, 布罗凯德的失落盾牌 looks plain badass, while the Akmin-Kurai looks like a big dumb green slab of poo. My group downed Nef the other night without me and our ST (Sometimes Tank) ended up getting it.

I'm sure it will drop again soon anyway for our OT - and if not, I will wait on a heroic Nef kill for this 阿克米库莱，统御之盾 version for stats and it's much-improved looks

It is strange nobody memorized that "Akmin-Kurai" is a phrase that Archimonde used in Hyjal raid when he reaches the World Tree and wipes the whole raid instantly.

I really like the model of the shield, but drop chance on it seem pretty low (or I am just unlucky). Does low drop chance on shields annoy anyone else? I have 17 normal and heroic kills of the boss and I never saw it drop even once. But thing is I really like normal model (it's green glow) and it's close to impossible now to organise normal PUGs for BWD, you can do Heroic for achievements or title (with new Real ID raids), but no one wants to do normal sadly.
