I hope that this will make Innervates cast on yourself 120% instead of 100%. That would give it a bit more utility.

if i interpret this correctly- if you cast innervate on yourself you receive 120% of the mana regen, but if cast on another target it only receives 100%?

The way it reads is more than likely 20% of the original strength of the innervate.
So 20% of 400% is still 80% effect on you. If you cast it on yourself you should get 2 effects, innervate plus this bonus one from the glyph, so 480% mana regeneration. If you cast it on someone else you still get 80%, and the person would get 400%.
So it would be 180% mana regen and full mana regen while casting would be the bonus effect on you..or 580% mana regen and full mana regen while casting if you cast it on yourself.

It increases your spirit based regen by 100% when you cast innervate on someone (incl. yourself).
Innervate yourself and you'll get 100% regen while casting and 600% spirit based regen. (100% base+400% from innervate+100% from glyph).
Innervate someone else and you'll get whatever regen you had (0 or 30% talented) and 200% spirit based regen.

Using rounded numbers:
850mp5 -> 4800mp5 (normally close to 4000)
899 spi -> regen from spi 760
So... 850 + 760x4 + 760 -> 4800

Innervate someone else and you'll get
whatever regen you had (0 or 30% talented)
and 200% spirit based regen.
at these screenshots you seem to have 30% spirit regeneration in combat (Intensity), and if i use your formulae, i'll get:
static mp5+2,3*spirit regen
let's count:
full regen=static mp5+spirit regen
(=742 at screenshot)
casting regen=static mp5+0,3*spirit regen
(=278 at screenshot)
so,
spirit regen
=(742-278)/0,7=663;
static mp5
=742-663=79;
thus,
static mp5+2,3*spirit regen
will equal to 79+2,3*663=1604, and you have 1404 at screenshot.
i suppose, regardless of your intensity talent, you will have
static mp5+200% spirit based regen
:
79+663*2=1405, practically what we see at your screenshot.

Logically, from what the descriptions says, it unambiguously states that there are
two
seperate outcomes when using the Innervate ability
Case 1: "Your Innervate spell now grants you full mana regeneration while casting for 20 sec, in addition to the effect on the primary target."
Did you know you can cast innervate on someone who is not you? Well you can. Anyways, normally if you cast innervate on someone who is not you, then you won't get the effect (obviously). With this glyph, you regenerate mana at 100% of mp5 as well (instead of getting nothing) even while casting. I suppose this glyph wouldn't actually be very useful if you were not casting anything though as innervate doesn't stack with mp5.
Case 2: "Innervate's effect is instead increased by 20% if you are the primary target."
Suppose you cast innervate on yourself (instead of someone else), then normally you would receive the 400% regen effect of innervate. With this glyph, you will receive a 480% regen effect instead of the 400%.
You cannot be in case 1 AND case 2 at the same time (unless we had at least 2 druid characters around).

I started using this instead of lifebloom glyph to help a fellow raiding priest with her mana, since she sometimes has issues, and the extra mana I get from innervating her makes up for the lifebloom tick lost.

glyph this... so when you accidentally or out of boredom innervate someone else you can atleast give yourself 100% mana regen during casting...
i casted innervate on an 80 prot pally...
he regened 800 mana from innervate, ya rly.
(okay, sure, he was running me though ramps and i mostly didn't care... but still >.> )
and priests thought their hymn was bad as a raid mana tool!

Anybody else noticing it not working at times when you cast it on yourself? It gives dual buffs and everything but I notice once in a while it doesn't work at all.
Changing to glyph of starfire anyways, would be nice to know why though.

As of the release of 3.1, this glyph is not properly giving the additional 20% when targetting yourself. The additional buff never comes up.

Being changed in 3.1.2 to the following:
: Has been adjusted to grant the Druid 90% of his or her base mana pool over 20 seconds.
Assuming my math is right and with the changes to innervate this means that casting innervate on someone else will get the druid:
3496*0.9 = 3146.4.
If the druid casts this on themselves then i guess that they will get the full innervate of 450% of their base mana plus bonus from the glyph:
3496*4.5 (15732) + 3496*0.9 (3146.4) = 18878.4.

As of patch 3.1.2 :
Glyph of Innervate: Has been adjusted to grant the Druid 90% of his or her base mana pool over 20 seconds.
and,
Innervate: This ability has been redesigned to grant 450% of the casting druid's base mana pool to the target over 20 seconds.
No more spirit required!
Note that this works off of
base
mana, not your full mana amount when you're wearing +int gear, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this glyph is being changed (or are they adding a new one) in 3.2?
From the PTR Patch notes:
"* Glyph of Innervate: Duration reduced to 10 seconds."
The information provided by Blizzard is a little vague but I am hoping that they are either adding the duration reduction to this current glyph or are creating a new/different one.

Now I'm not sure if I am reading this wrong or if it is how the glyph is supposed to work, but if it grants the caster 45% of their base mana pool over 10s in addition to the normal effects, does that mean that if you were to cast innervate on a different party member you would have 10s of free 45% of your mana pool and they get the benefits of normal innervate?
Example: I have 1000 mana, cast innervate on the mana sucking paladin next to me when I am at 500 mana. Does this mean that for 10 seconds I will get 950 mana and then it will drop the benefit much like the extra health gained for a warrior's Last Stand?

In PvP this is very useful because the buff given by this counts as a separate buff, meaning "real" innervate will be harder to dispel.

Ordinary Innervate: 225%(7866mana) regen over 10sec every 180 sec = 7866/180*5 =

Glyphed Innervate: 265%(9439mana regen over 10sec evert 180sec = 9439/180*5 =

In Patch 3.3.5, this was Glyph of Innervate (Major) - Innervate now grants the caster 45% of <his/her> base mana pool over 10 sec in addition to the normal effects of Innervate.
In Patch 4.0.1, it has been changed to Glyph of Innervate (Major) - When Innervate is cast on a friendly target other than the caster, the caster will gain 50% of Innervate's effect.

Looks to me to be fairly similar to how it's been in the past. The wording has changed but if you look at the actual numbers, it's still providing about the same as a mana potion - which is how it's been for the last few major patches since about 3.1.

This glyph was useful in the beginning of wrath when mana was tight on nax fights, but now that mana pools are exceeding 20k getting 10% of your mana pool back isn't worth it in either spec when you are missing out on major healing or DPS glyphs. WotLK classic's defense protocol alpha means new 80s can pretty much skip nax and the heroic fights (even on +) aren't long enough to OOM.
