Short guide for 10 mans (how our raid did the 1st kill):
Setup
- 2 Tanks (death knight, druid)
- 2 Healers (druid, priest)
- 6 DDs (2 hunter, mage, rogue, warlock, priest)
General
This fight is hardly any different from normal mode and has only a few changes:
You'll need to rotate up to 6 people per Hour of Twilight, 2 each.
The group will most likely not survive the last 30 secs before enrage for long. We used Ancient Hysteria after the 6th hour of twilight because of that.
This is a
massive
DPS race and HPS check.
Assignements
Healers: druid took red, priest green. The druid would switch to blue once he couldn't sustain the raid with hots any longer (most likely after the 5th hour of twilight).
Hour of twilight:
hunter, hunter
feral druid, shadow priest
rogue, death knight
The mage was backup.

Tactics for 10m (heroic, ofc)
You'll need 2 Tanks and 2-3 healers (I strongly recommend 2).
Changes from normal mode:
The boss has 85 000 000 HP
Hour of Twilight must hit (at least) two players and deals 300 000 damage
The cast time of Hour of Twilight and the Fading light debuff are shorter
Hour of Twilight leaves a 2-Minute debuff killing you when you take another Hour of Twilight
You'll get Hour of Twilight at 0:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:00, 3:45, 4:30, 5:15 and 6:00. The last Hour of Twilight is immediately followed by a raid-wiping cast.
So, you'll have to overcome all of these new mechanics, here's how:
To beat the boss before the enrage timer of ~6 minutes, you need 236,1k RDPS. However, this assumes to reach the 6:00-mark alive, which is nearly impossible with 2 healers, so for 2-healer setups the time of the kill should be around 5:20, meaning about 265k RDPS.
With 2 Tanks dealing ~18k, the requirement for a DD is roughly 38.2k DPS for the 2-healer version and 40k for the 3-healer version - as you can easily see, even prolonging the fight by a third healer does not really help the dps-requirements. Healers will be able to DPS within the first minute of the fight, a Discipline Priest can even keep smiting during the second minute. However, seen on the whole fight length, this is hardly worth 10k dps and does not really make or break it in most cases. A lot more important than that are the tank's DPS which will persist throughout the fight. Reaching more than 20k really helps to beat the encounter a lot.
Hour of Twilight has to hit two players (where "hit" just means you have to be in the twilight realm, so Pala bubble is fine) and you can only take every third one. You need a very strong (60% reduce or more) cooldown to survive this (or more than one weaker cooldown, e.g. I was able to take one with glyphed Soul Link, Nether Protection and Pain Suppression as a warlock). As you will need your tank's raid CD in the last minute of the fight, your tank(s) have to go first or at least second. The best classes for this are obviously those that don't take any damage, like Rogues with CloS, Paladins with bubble, Hunters with Deterrence or Shadow Priests with Dispersion. We used, for example:
Warrior Tank with Shield Wall plus Rogue with CloS
Feral Tank with Frenzied Regeneration and Barkskin plus Holy Paladin with bubble
Destruction Warlock with glyphed Soul Link, Nether Protection and Pain Suppression and Firemage (Cauterize)
Warrior Tank with Shield Wall plus Rogue with CloS
Arms Warrior with Shield Wall and Firemage (Cauterize)
Feral Tank with Frenzied Regeneration and Barkskin plus Retribution Paladin with bubble
Warrior Tank with Shield Wall plus Rogue with CloS
This way, you only had to heal one of the players to full HP before Hour of Twilight hit (Rogue, Mage and Paladin will survive anyway) and furthermore, our warrior had his Raid Shield Wall up for Minute 5 (kill was @ 5:24).
Holy Paladins really shine here with Holy Radiance, the second spot is up to you (we took a Discipline priest for Pain Suppression and Smite damage, but it wasn't really needed).
We had some unnecessary wipes to Fading light before we established a "always press before 1s left" rule. You just don't want to lose tries to this, rather die to the enrage timer (which we never even saw). The 10m version is rather easy in my opinion (took us less than 20 tries, a lot less than, for example, Yor'sahj), looking forward to hear complaints from the 25m-raiders!

We killed this guy tonight, and here's how we did it - on 10m hc.
Rotation for Hour of Twilight
We used the following rotation for the 2 people eating the Hour of Twilight, as the previous posts discuss, you need 2 people outside on HC mode, and they will get the
Looming Darkness
debuff applied, leaving them unable to eat another Hour of Twilight for 2 minutes.
Feral tank + Feral tank
Assassination rogue + MM hunter
Ret paladin + Fire mage
Feral tank + Feral tank
Assassination rogue + MM hunter
Holy paladin + Fire mage
Feral tank + Feral tank
Left out of the rotation was our Destruction warlock, Balance druid and Resto shaman.
Use of TW/Hero
We had the 2 healers (resto shaman and holy paladin) use their Heroic Will buttons right after the pull, so we could pop Timewarp without them getting the debuff (as they were in the other realm when it was popped) - this way we made good use of it for pre-potting and opening rotations etc from all of the dps'ers, while still having TW or even Hero available for the healers later on in the fight. We popped Hero for them with just below 20% hp left on Ultraxion.
Other stuff
Have all your raiders be on the ball for Fading Light, and have them all try and maximize their uptime on the boss whilst not risking anything by clicking their Heroic Will too late. With practice, they'll also know to time it so they never have issues if an Hour of Twilight is incoming right as they have Fading Light applied to them - this should never cause any problems once they all get a good feel for the timers.
Oh, and the first try of the night we got him to 9.300 hp! That's like 0.00000000001%, or at least it feels like that. One more hit from any one of us and he'd be dead... :(
Going in for the kill
Very few tries later, we ended up having about 30 sec left before berserk, and we had our resto shaman die (without his ankh available) pretty early on in the fight, so we had to cr him.

Hi.
We did this last night with 1 healer - holy paladin.
Rest same. 2 ppl stay on HoT, we`ve used, DK and Feral tank, rogue, priest, Dk dps, holy paladin.
In some of trys, we also use shaman in last HoT, he ofcourse died, but then can stand back.
