Wowhead's best lore theory was when they thought the Jailer was actually the Primus. That turned out to be false, so I'm just not going to put any time or energy or thought real estate into speculation.
I'm glad that so many haters out here feeding interactions to this article, it was beautifully done. And as we know from the last several expansions, the lore does get this intricate and deep. People always have these theories, like the Dreadlords working for Death, and they find evidence in the game to back them up.Some of the best lore development in the business. <3
If you did the quest to unlock the mag'har orcs you know the light is no better than the void.
Forsaken stans are something else. Y'all are wild
I don't trust her. I wish Blizz would stop cramming her down the Forsaken's throat. Lilliam should be their leader, but Blizzard prefers the idea of a council rather than a leader.
What a load of crap just because the quest text said "Queen Calia", the most likely reason is that people internally call her that at Blizzard and someone slipped during the quest text.If anything it just shows that the narrative team thinks of Calia as the beautiful Queen of the Forsaken and simp her like that.
Horde and Forsaken fans will spend several expansions, nay, over a decade, lapping the mud and blood-stained boots of the most obviously treacherous, obviously self-concerned character the setting has to offer, who quite literally uses her own people as ammunition and meatshields, and go "hmh seems legit! that's our queen, that's our warchief!" And then turn around and go "well, this benevolent and kindly woman whose father was the ruler of Lordaeron before it fell is a little bit sussy baka because... she just seems too nice!" And her wig is cheap! And she thinks genocide and wanton warmongering are BAD!It beggars belief.
You're all wrong, she's actually an agent of The Jailer!Calia Menethil - Arthas Menethil. COINCIDENCE?He planned this all along, played us all like a damn fiddle!
Thank you for this insightful, detailed, and very well thought out article. I really love the Calia character. So much lore to her. Her escape from Lordaeron when the scourge first attacked with Arthas, how she traveled in secret to Southshore and hid there for a time.I'd be crushed if we did/do find out she's up to no good and turns evil. Just.. no, please lol.Thank you again for this wonderful article. Gets me thinkin' of what may or may not be! Cheers!
<the Pallid Lady> ? really ? i saw another pallid in this game before <maleki the pallid> you don't know what the pallid is but this came from Persian dictionary and it means evil :)) <پلید> is the original word . so that's make sense now
