As people have pointed out, there's so many easier solutions than touching every hat asset. And even touching every hat model wouldn't be so bad if they do it in a smart way.- Just give users a toggle. boom! done.- Have an intern go through and mark which hats work with which haircuts. Maybe it'd take a few weeks but it'd be worth it.- Simply add a horizontal plane to hat-style gear to "top chop" the hair appropriately. Full head helms can continue to hide hair as it won't matter. Those two options are probably like 90% of the head gear right there. Then either ignore the more complicated head gear models or suck it up and spend a little more time on the 10% that aren't a simple hide or top chop.It would be some work, but it's not like an impossible task. Especially with interns. Am I right? Interns. ;) :P
It's no small task, but it would be a welcomed one by the majority of players. Considering how popular transmog and collecting is for players. They could start with current xpac hats and work backwards as time permits.
IMPOSSIBRU
Pretty sure this a "fantasy themed shoulder pad simulator" and not a "war themed hat simulator."Regardless, it's a feature that I may not care about much myself, but I know it would make the game much more enjoyable for everyone if it was included.
Billion dollar company still can't quite figure out how to make hair appear underneath a hat, after 18 years.
How do you turn this off?
Second Macro should be - /script TEMP_ACTORS:SetScale(TEMP_ACTORS:GetScale());for _, a in pairs(TEMP_ACTORS) do a:SetPosition(0, 0, 0);a:SetAnimation(0, 0, 1, 0);a:SetYaw(-1.57);a:UndressSlot(16);a:UndressSlot(17);endPeter Yu made a mistake in his initial tweet so the player is on all fours crawling - see here /Peterodox/status/1550859579059159042
hear me out ... give us the option to turn it on or off.
