Finally it'll be worth doing the quest!, as there's no point in doing the quest if it were to reward normal quality gear!Love this update!
"Many raiders, Mythic+ players and PvPers didn't feel compelled to complete the Timewalking quest in Battle for Azeroth due to the nerf"There was a nerf? Didn't the "do 5 timewalking dungeons" always give normal raid loot from the current raid even back in WoD and Legion? It was the "do 4 mythic dungeons" that gave heroic raid loot (and still does). Honestly I would've rather had the timewalking raid quest give out heroic loot. Just getting 500 badges isn't really much of an award from those.
Legion time walking gave heroic gear? I thought it was normal gear.
Also, this is the first time we've had heroic gear in BfA? I had thought we got heroic Dazar'alor chests at the very least.
Timewalking event quests has always gave out normal loot. So I have no idea where the writer of this article believes there was a nerf.
In Legion we also had coin from doing weekly quest
That is true. Perhaps that it is what the writer is referring to. But to be honest, coin rolls aren't make or break, even for cutting edge players. You get crap 95% of the time anyway.
That nice 5 dung TW quest gives HC cache. But they should also bump up the raid quest also with HC cache+1k TW badges (currently only 500 TWB). Which will attract more players to do raids too. Also after getting all toys, mounts, rep there is no point of TWB they should do legacy vendor which exchange TWB into legacy currency of older expansions (like older bonus roll coins, timeless coins, ancient mana, curious coins, garrison+order hall resources, oil, molten front marks, ironpaw/cooking tokens, JC tokens, ..... and much more) with proper exchange rate.
I say they should do like Legion's mission table raid quests and make the reward scale with the content you are doing. Once you have cleared 10 Mythic bosses, the reward should change to Mythic imo.
In Legion the Timewalking quest used to give normal tier loot by default, but if you downed a certain number of heroic bosses (think it was 4) then the loot would scale up to heroic
"Many raiders, Mythic+ players and PvPers didn't feel compelled to complete the Timewalking quest in Battle for Azeroth due to the nerf"What nerf was there that I was unaware about? Last time I remembered, timewalking events and there quest always gave Normal loot appropiate to the current teir.EDIT:
Timewalk ALWAYS gave Normal loot, please don't create articles with false information.
The author is correct in that BFA nerfed the Timewalking event quest, but incorrect in where the nerf happened. Timewalking has always dropped Normal raid gear from the quest cache. What did change in BFA, however, was that you no longer get an additional bonus roll.
amazing news!
