The number of iterations of the stupid affix are embarrassing. They could have come up with something interesting 2 times over by now but instead they keep trying to put lipstick on a pig.
Someone asked “ Why are people complaining so much about the stun? Is it that hard to pair up with another player to avoid the stun?”Yes it is. Think about the variables in play.For melee and ranged, someone has to sacrifice the dps gain to run to the other, it isn’t always gonna be a perfectly set up group with 1 melee in range of the tank. There are a lot of mechanics on the bosses in the previously three tested dungeons that pull you in or blast you back, that’s going to cause issues. Meaning they are spending more time than they should be trying to clear the debuff so the dps gained is negated by travel time.Some fights require you to spread out, some require you to stack. The ones requiring spread have a lot of bad $%^& on the ground and it hurts a lot so having to navigate it takes up additional time. The fights where you’re stacked it’s nearly impossible not to just auto clear the buff, so it’s useless in those situations. The stun can and will kill you, not because of the amount of damage it does, but because of how other mobs will randomly target you, bosses will spin around to do a breath attack, or the million other swirlies getting thrown around, last boss in RLP will suck ass if you can’t clear the debuff just to mention one.I just think this affix isn’t being thought through. They aren’t considering how people will have to deal with it with regards to the many varied fight structures.The last boss in the Vaults is gonna suck ass too, forget about the slow effect because they fixed it if you have the buff, but consider the amount of health the crystals have that you have to destroy. If you don’t break almost all of them, when the cast goes off it !@#$ing hurts, and can wipe you. Now imagine instead of dpsing the crystals you have to run across the room as a warlock to get to the rogue who is tunneling the 1 Crystal he’s at, when you could instead be hitting multiple crystals and taking them all down…THINJ THE FIGHTS THROUGH BLIZZARD. Really sit down and look at how they will play out when people have the debuff. Think about what additional obstacles they will have to jump through to clear it and what the possibility of a wipe is if they don’t on any given fight.In summation: REMOVE THE STUN. Idc what else you do, hell debuff my damage for the same amount after the buff drops off, idc, but the stun is absolute aids and needs to be removed.
If they're going to go with the health increase, I think they should lower the stun to at most 4 seconds. 2 preferably.
Or you can just rework the affix to get the buff when you COME IN CONTACT with the opposite mark, makes stuff less obnoxious.
If you are bad just cleanse instantly. This affix is good. Most people who run keys at higher levels favor or at least dont mind the affix
I think this is ok. 5% hp just falls into tuning category for me, so no real comment on that. More damage buff is nice, separates the players that optimize this a bit more from the others.
the debuff should last 10 seconds and then YOU GAIN a buff once you clear it, people will rage if you step on someone and make them clear their buff right away, it will create friction between players and it will be unpleasant
I will say it again, calling it "15 secs buff" is practically false! When you have to hug someone else to remove the mark and also have to worry about other mechanics, it will last 10-12 secs on average.Unless they change it where you get the mark first and once you hug someone to clear it, THEN you get the buff and you will have it for the whole 15 secs duration without worrying about other mechanics or running to someone else to avoid stuns etc...And of course if you don't clear the mark, you do not get the damage buff. That itself will be a HUGE penalty and also gives you enough time to clear the mark in various situations or while dealing with other mechanics.
