I think I could also be mentioned that might finally have some use in the game. :DI'm very excited to see good totem decks!
It might be important to note that it has been stated that you can choose a totem you already have with the improved totem summon. Still not great, but definitely opens up some space (more stoneclaws for protection, more wrath of air for spell combos).
Justicar Trueheart basically gives most classes raw power (a 100% increase; 50% for hunters). With shamans they get a bit of finesse (being able to choose the totem, instead of getting 2 at random). Arguably it's actually locks and rogues that *really* get the short end of the stick (the health payment is a fairly minor concern at most times with the warlock hero power, and while the rogue does get double damage daggers, they have the one hero power that can't be spammed willy-nilly).Is the finesse of Justicar going to be good enough for shaman? I imagine it's less likely than some of the raw power classes. As... Trump, I think it was, pointed out - you realistically have to use the hero power about 4 times to make the HP upgrade worth the terrible Justicar stats. That puts the card quite firmly in control territory, whereas most shammy decks right now are early or midrange decks. JJ; is your mech shaman deck unconventional? The conventional mech shaman decks very likely wouldn't want such a slow card.
Well this is probably beyond just Hearthstone, but when it comes to making judgments, it's better to make them on what you do know rather than what you don't. A meta change certainly is plausible, but all we can do is make a guess based on how the meta is, and looks like it will be (which includes the cards that have been previewed - which at first glance don't look like pushing the game towards control).I will say that we've seen *plenty* of good legendaries before that haven't made the cut, so the odds aren't in Justicar's favour.
Just my opinion, but I think the current meta is completely irrelevant with 130+ cards coming. I've never seen the point of even mentioning the meta when evaluating expansion cards.
Regarding the improved hero power, it's at least on par an improvement with hunt. Randomness of effect gives a 1 mana discount (Ogres, Shredders, Animal companion, etc) So this strikes me as about a 50% improvement.
it's 50% in best case when you have 2totems already in play, with 0totems in play you have 25% for specific totem plus with this legend you can have more than 1 of specific totem. I think it's more than 50% randomnes
@jaxsonbateman, my Mech-a-man is fairly conventional, probably falling into the midrange category. is a slow card, but so is , which is included in my deck and has won me a number of matchups that dragged into the lategame.Gotta say though, I agree with @Thrombin2 that discussing the meta at this stage is mostly hyperbole.
