Say what you will about the lore and story in shadowlands, I'm really liking how they're resolving the stories for the Night Elves and the Forsaken. Without getting too into the politics of it, I've hea4d many people describe the Shadowlands story is an attempt to bandage the decisions of a former director. I can say that they definitely have with these two races
i've never been happier, long live teldrassil <3
Is that the seed they'll use to plant for our talent trees?(this was a great read!)
It doesn't make sense to me. Teldrassil was a failed attempt at replacing Nordrassil, but Nordrassil regrew. Why do the night elves even need another tree now, they have their original back!
Huh. So that's how they're going to repair the sword wound. They'll plant the tree in Silithus which will pull out the blade or otherwise neutralize it, and fill the wound with life/nature and it will heal Azeroth. heh
Hope is a powerful emotion that we even should search for in our world. As long as one person keeps hoping there's salvation for all...In a way I think that was the most powerful emotion that the night elves always possessed. Every time something happened someone clawed away at their feeling of hope.“Darkness covered us in the beginning, and we could not see. We cried for guidance and the moon shone down bright upon us. Her soft light not only illuminated the night for us but also gave comfort. Her light touched us from within, enabling us to see even when the moon was not visible...”— Tyrande Whisperwind
maybe build the next one out of brick
And now we plant it where the ol giant Sargeras sword is and fill in that plot hole too.
I do wonder - if this is indeed a new world tree I wonder where it will be planted and if it will have a new model.
It'll be interesting to see if this carries a blessing with it. Nordrassil gave the night elves immortality because of a few dragon aspect blessings, and since Tyrande is likely taking the seed to the Dragon Isles it's possible it might get blessed again, but where all other world trees on Azeroth have been from seeds of G'hanir, potentially tied more to the realm of life, this seed is a tear of Elune (life) infused with the souls of night elves by the Winter Queen (death). It's the first life/death world tree, and I wonder if it'll look more like an Ardenweald great tree more than the former World Trees do. It could be a neat way to bring a bit of the Shadowlands to Azeroth in a way that stabilises the veil and helps combat mindless undead. As well as giving Azeroth a bit of a connection to another plane of existence - so far she has the sword for Fel and the Well of Eternity for Arcane. This tree could represent Life and Death. If she gets something from the Light and Void realms, that might be part of waking her up.
I really hope it actually is a new tree and not just a magical fix of Teldrassil.Bringing Teldrassil back now would just feel cheap.
I guess its not a hope for a Night Elves, its a hope for a Blizzard to return ~ 30 % of the NE players....
