As someone who runs atleast 8x 17s-20s a week, the only issue I have is the amount of healing required. Most pug healers are in way over their head. You just die to so many things even in CDs on some bosses on tyran, but overall it's been pretty nice not having an onslaught of affixs to deal with. Still a big believer in Tyran being bad for the game and engagement since it's the statistically least played week but whatever really. M+ is fine if you're not dog at the game. If healers are having to do 100k+ HPS on trash or a tyran boss, that's just bad.
Tomrus is a troll or a no key binds spellbook clicker. No way this is the worst season of mythic plus. Probably the exact opposite. I have pugged my way to 2500 and it wasn't bad. More enjoyable than last season with the seasonal affix causing wipes. Not saying I didn't like the seasonal, it was fun but it did cause problems.
Overall, I think the concept of rotating dungeons that pull from a mixed pool of current and prior dungeons was generally well-realized. They ultimately make for an interesting way of revisiting old content in a manner perhaps fairer to it in spirit than with events like timewalking.What has been a little rockier is the balance between affixes being fun and overall tuning being consistent/manageable. My experience with keys in season 1 (3k io player—not quite top 0.1%, but definitely in the 1% bracket) was that certain weeks' affixes felt so oppresive that they overshadowed the dungeons I was running. I haven't felt the same way about affixes in season 2, though I will contend that I don't think the current offering *add* much, and that I'd still prefer a model with challenges unique to each dungeon. In terms of overall tuning, it's very hard (in my mind) to deny that *certain* dungeons are more than a little overturned. At the outset of season 2, Blizzard introduced substantial health buffs to all player characters in exchange for a nerf to healers' output; this with the intent of 'making keys less healer-dependent/stressful on healers'. In practice, keys grossly favor survivability over all else as a result—and good healers are just as vital, if not more-so, than last season. There are so, so many varieties of unpreventable instant-death mechanics that I'm wholly unsurprised a lot of players feel content is harder to push as a whole. There is a huge disparity in the difficulty between dungeons—freehold's timer had to be nerfed because the key was too easy, yet magmatusk required an unintended cheese strat to beat reliably at higher levels. Underrot is so easy to time that it's effectively outpaced Shadowmoon Burial Grounds, while Chrono-Lord Deios is harder than mythic raid bosses on tyrannical weeks without an uber-meta comp. I've run with healers that consistently put out 110-120k hps on tough pulls, and they still feel close. I'm sure I'll get a litany of 'get good' comments—sure, I have room to improve—but seriously: if Blizzard intended to make keys easier, they've half succeeded at best. Affixes aren't as bad. Getting rating is easier and more forgiving. Gearing is far less dependent on high level keys, and faster than s1 to boot. The gap between going from a 20 to a 22, though, feels much more like pushing 24s last season, and I desperately hope that does not remain the case going forwards.
I play all roles. I'm a casual player (in terms of time, not skill). DF's m+ setup has been the most fun that m+ has ever been, and while the dungeons themselves this season are hit or miss, how m+ has been implemented and balanced has been incredibly fun. Keep iterating on this, please.
M+ is starting to cannibalize the entire game honestly and is slowly becoming the focal point of content and that’s not a good thing. Every season has rehashed content now. It’s soulless. You loot Bland rewards for the top .1% (LOL nty)Easily acquired gear via M+ pushes the players to either mythic raid for like 3 ilvls or touch grass/make an alt and with the mythical upgrade track there’s no reason to even do raid. This is your average player 2-3 months into content. Log in, run eight 20’s, Gamble Tuesday. Log in, Awful affixes, run one 20, Gamble Tuesday. Pug this heroic/mythic raid, Gamble TuesdayTry to PvP. This thread seems to have degenerated into complaints about difficulty (some justified, some not) and the predictable chest-beating responses of "get good" (please notice that I know how to spell). So I'll just express my thoughts about the seasonal rotation.I think that the rotation of M+ dungeons should have started with all 8 DF dungeons. Additionally, I'm not sure Blizzard was thinking far enough "out of the box" when it comes to changing up the M+ dungeon rotation. Why not have the change happen on a much shorter schedule? Maybe every two weeks. First week Tyrannical all DF, second week fortified all DF, and third week 4 DF and 4 recycled dungeons with tyrannical, etc. This interferes with the concept of seasons, though.

People saying M plus is horrible are really just bad at the game or they over analyze everything. Its just a game, it doesnt even need to make sense at some point like this is my first season of tanking in my WOW life and already achieved 2500 io in 2 tank specs already ( brewmaster and Demon hunter, paladin and druid inc ). Bursting bla bla bla , easily timed HOI 20 plus with no PRIESTS and 8 team deaths overall. Tanks and healers should actually be saying something to PUGs and if people are not listening, its not your fault. its a PUG run ffs, and if they do listen lucky you. Season 1 and Season 2 Of Dragonflight are one of the best i have ever played. will steer myself to a healer spec in season 3. This game is fun, people are just having too many sophisticated ideas on just one simple pull too.
