The comments section is making my day. The QQ is awesome. So much logic error here. Those who cry foul, they are basically saying that "death" is the only possible punishment for Sylvanas, completely ignoring the difference between our real world and the World of Warcraft -- dead people can come back alive, or live on forever in the Shadowlands. Death is merely a phase change. They also think that letting Sylvanas stay alive means "redemption". If that's the case, does that mean that all the criminals in the jails are redeemed? The QQers are really such one-dimensional, irrational creatures.Remembering that "death" is merely a phase change, I agree with Sylvanas's big picture. If she succeeds in overthrowing the establishment, then all lives will never die, and the dead can come back alive. Since nobody will remain dead, all the deaths at Teldrassil would not matter. It is the heroes who condemn the Nightelf souls to death by trying to stop Sylvanas in her cause, and giving her no choice but to ally with the Jailer. If we really want to save the lives lost at Teldrassil, we should have joined Sylvanas to destroy Shadowlands, liberate the souls from the rigid rules of Shadowlands, and reincarnate them.I believe that Sylvanas will now help the heroes stop the Jailer. Afterall, if she still wants to carry on with her plan to overthrow death, stopping the Jailer's compulsion is the top priority. Logic dictates that you ally with the second biggest enemy to beat the biggest enemy. If people don't want her to be redeemed, then the simplest way is for her to continue on her quest to overthrow death. She will be one of those epic antagonists (if she hasn't already) that is sometimes your enemy, but sometimes you have no choice but to ally with her. You just can't kill her off and think that you can survive without her help because she always has the key to destroying a threat that is bigger than her.
I mean, I'm pretty sure the initial reason she got more armor over time was because bikini chainmail was going out of fashion, slowly becoming more & more the butt of jokes. That said, it does look like you've got some good point with what the model creators built out of this decision.
You know, if Sylvanus' storyline these last expansions has taught me anything its just how deeply fractured we as a society have become over concepts like Redemption. Does anyone else feel like we aren't all working off the same definition of that word when going through these chats?
It is not for me to judge you, but for your victims. For history. For your conscience.
You’ve literally got to have an IQ of -168 to say this is a redemption arc. They literally said in the cinematic that what Sylvanas did is unforgivable! What are you people? Adult illiterates?
