I dont mind options, what really bugs me tho it's the inability to change covenants. Say i am a mythic raider, i would naturally want to go with the covenant ability that works best in raid. Say i also push high level m+, i would also want the best covenant ability for that type of content too, which will not be the same one. The way it looks now it appears they are forcing you to choose only 1 type of content in which you will have the "bis" covenant, unless im getting it wrong. It just seems terrible for high level players. I hope they implement a way to switch these around freely.
Adding more random DPS procs is not good game design.
I wish some of you stop whining and complaining with the excuse of "Im a mythic Raider", "I feel forced to min-max".I am a Mythic Raider aswell, but I also understand, that this game, as an MMORPG, needs stuff that help the fantasy of the class/spec/w/e. You all are literally asking, as Jdotb would put it: "Everyone gets 5% crit, everyone gets 10% more healing" etc. I understand the perspective behind it, but then, what's the point of playing a game with 12 different classes/36 specs? Let's ask them then to delete all classes, create only 3, 1 tank, 1 heal, 1 dps, and be done with it if that's what everyone seems to want.Covenants imo are a welcome addition to the game, and 100% a re-iteration of Netherlight Crucible, Artifacts etc. but now with ..a bit more choice. For those of you who REALLY care about that 1% more damage (99.99% of the time it won't matter, unless you're literally the best player ever, and you're playing also with the best players, otherwise, wiping to a boss where someone has like, dunno, 30% parses, that 1% more DPS for you WILL NOT MATTER even close) then you should look more in-depth and realize your performance > transmogs/mounts/aesthethics/w/e. If you're like me, where you want to perform high, but also, look good or have that mount (its a game after all) then you can sacrifice that 1-2% that you won't even realize it exists. All in all, while Blizzard took some odd and quite frankly bad decisions in BFA, at least let them try new things, especially if they look RPG-esque. Or else we end up back to vanilla.
some guilds raid and have preset key groups...not everyone gets a guild that helps other guild members in high keys even tho it helps the M raid too....
I can already see this system taking the most reforging over and over and over to get right.
I think those who are saying "they're forcing me to choose" are seriously missing the point. This game, regardless of what you think it is, is an RPG still. Yes, those talent swaps you're doing every 5 seconds go against the entire vibe of RPG, 100%. DnD that this game was originally based off of did not let you swap things like that. Be happy you're even able to swap talents, since if it were up to me, I'd be making talents a permanent thing as well as these kinds of systems. The whole point and aspect of an MMORPG is to pick your character and customize it to the thing you wanna do mainly, not everything you wanna do entirely. You then have your team make up for what you lack, not sit there and have every single person do every single thing in the whole game. At its core WoW is still a role playing game. Accept that characters are supposed to have strengths and weaknesses and stop trying to change that. Yes, some stuff might be harder to get in to. So what? Personally, as a tank I get into groups on my druid in five seconds flat. As a warlock I go through 150+ declines for mythic+ before people finally invite me to a single dungeon unless it's my own key. If you wanna be invited more, start your own groups and accept that you're not meant to do everything perfectly. Yes, it's a game, however, if they wanted everyone to do everything there would either be a single class for you to play and just choose how you want to play or there would be three classes to play: a tank, a healer, and a damage dealer. There would be no talent options and there would only be a few spells for each. A single target spell, an aoe spell, a spammable spell and a something else. No cd for any of those spells, just a spell for each occasion. Everyone would do the same exact damage for their class. Everyone would have the same exact healing spells and do the same exact healing rotation and numbers in the same situation. Everything would be the same, 100%. At this point, the game would be just playing for you instead of you playing the game. The whole point of it all is; there's more than a single class in this game. There's more than a single class for each role. There's more than three buttons to press. There's talents. There's this and that. There's many varieties, so understand that there's strengths and weaknesses to each class and each spec. Understand that, no, you're not gonna be able to do absurd aoe damage and single target damage. Choose your main destination, then accept that you will have to work harder at the others that aren't your main focus. I like there being differences, or I would have quit long ago.
looks a lot like the D4 talent tree that was shown at Blizzcon
In a Blizzard office :_ok guys we had a lot of trouble balancing so many systems on the last expansions, and now we already have too much systems to balance!Blizzard Developers thinking.._how can we solve this? YES! add 1 more system to balance them all!_Too much sytemization with wow , harder and harder , nearly impossible to balance, and less choise freedom, I guess I´m done with wow ...sadly
"BLIZZ WE WANT MORE CHOICE, GIVE US BACK THE OLD TALENT TREE SYSTEM"Literally every new expansion: "WOW THIS SUCKS, EVERYONE JUST GETS THE SAME TALENTS AND OPTIONS EVERY TIME, STOP GIVING US SO MANY OPTIONS AND JUST DIE IN A DITCH BLIZZ"Damned if you do, damned if you don't with you guys. Have you all ever stopped to think for the slightest second that you can tailor those things for your preference? You can focus more on single target or AoE talents, which will be better for some situations and worse for others.Less than 2% of the playerbase actually clears mythic content and 20+ keys. There will ALWAYS be the "supreme meta" for those people, they are the ones that will stack 13 warlocks in a fight and then have 13 rogues in the next if it means that they will squeeze that 5% more damage, THE GAME ALWAYS WORKED LIKE THAT AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BALANCE THINGS AROUND THIS.Stop with this demented mentality that if you are not using the most optimized build then everything else is trash, the game isn't designed for the ultra ridiculous meta. You don't need 50 item levels higher than the boss you are trying to kill, you need around 10 lower. Stop being so paranoid with "BIS BIS BIS RUN THE SIMULATION TO SEE WHAT WILL MAKE MY DPS 0.02% HIGHER".
