There's no way the experience buff will be active throughout SL.
Thankfully the Legendary recipes are unlocked from Honored reputation rather than Exalted. That significantly makes me miss rep buffs much less since the grind is that much less.
Maybe thats why they chose that day?I'll be there with my glasses mogged!
People are really asking this? No. Like, obviously no. It's not going to happen.
Inb4 they purposely delayed to coincide with the anniversary (I know this ain't the case)
Since you are required to complete all four zone campaigns on your first character before you can start doing endgame things, I don't think it will be a problem to have this XP boost in terms of "experiencing important story moments on their first playthrough". But that being said, I bet they'll turn it off in Shadowlands zones for this year.
One can hope...
Buff will be out before launch, so cap will be lv 50. No brainer to have the buff not work after level 50.
if anyone will have the buff i dont see why not
It'll totally be changed to "Increases experience and reputation gains by 16% while the celebration lasts. Ineffective above level 49."
Skip the anniversary, we don't need yearly anniversaries lol, maybe every 5-10 years. If there's an anniversary it should be small and subtle, barely there. Maybe a simple hearthstone that tears a veil near you, or a cosmetic like val'kyr wings to reference the wotlk/shadowlands parallels and dates. Something that won't distract everyone from the new adventure and story.
You could hit level 60 five minutes into Bastion and you are still required to complete the full campaign to access any end game content, so the EXP buff is meaningless. The reputation buff could be significant if it makes it to max level reputations.
if you finish leveling at the end of the quest chain (which has been... problematic of late), it doesnt really matter if you finish leveling 16% faster, you still have to complete the zones.
Hopefully they leave it in but I agree, they probably won't.
That would be too much fun so no, not gonna happen.
I hope it won't be active. I dont get ppl who just want to get to 60 asap without experiencing the content properly. They're probably the same crowd that complain about everything all the time smhWe have enough time until raid release, and there's no reason to speed level unless you're part of the 1% and I assure u most of them already experienced the content fully in beta
I have ocean front property in Idaho to sell you if you think this will be active for SL leveling. It will be level 50 and lower and/or it will only be active in pre-9.0 zones.
