whatever "new benefit" they decide to add for heirlooms had better be good, I only bought them to speed up leveling and if that is no longer going to be possible because they are removing the experience buffs I will feel like I wasted thousands and thousands of gold. livid.
Chiming in with many other commments, removing the XP bonus from heirlooms is something I'm really not happy about. I spent a lot of gold on heirlooms for the XP bonus alone. I sincerely hope they have something good in mind to make up for that, if not an outright gold refund for how much we spent on them, but my hopes are not high. Come on Blizz...
I've spent so much gold upgrading each gear type and weapon along with others before the primary stat change. It would be nice to see some sort of compensation..
I'm kinda ambivalent about removing the XP gain, From the sounds of it they're making leveling faster and kinda just baking in the XP Buffs they give anyway. Honestly I think I got the perfect idea to make people go "Ok, I'm fine with that" Make heirlooms give a bonus to Gold Earned while leveling. Simple as that. Unique, beneficial, and could even make everyone who's currently upset their money back after awhile. You already got you money's worth from it as is from leveling quicker up til this point anyway.
Not sure how I feel about using Holy Priest artifact appearances on my other specs but I guess they look amazing (the spec not so much)
I have bought every single heirloom and upgraded them all to full. And I barely even remember how much gold it took, cause it really didn't matter. They paid for themselves in the time they saved me leveling. The point was to get to max level fast as I could without boosting. Now everyone gets that, so I'm not mad. They served their purpose, and I'm glad I used them. Now I no longer need them. Fine with that, seeing as we'll be leveling faster without them comparatively. But I am interested in seeing what the special stuff is. A rep buff maybe? Instead of increasing xp, it increases the rep you get from all sources? That would be nice. >:)
Guys it now takes if i remember right a grand total of 5 hours to level 1-50.Why remove the exp buff? Because at least at the moment itd be overkill.
I'm down for the Artifact change, always wanted to use my MM artifact in BFA since the BM artifact sucks at MM was always my main spec throughout Legion n Wod along with Surv until the melee mess, gonna enjoy using my Lock Demo arty as Destro.
uhhh... Marksmanship hunter with a polearm?
Man i would be down for artifact xmog. I love skull, but scepter of sargaras is just so... powerful...
Better get a running speed boost from heirlooms then, can keep the percentages the same, low level go vroom
Gold bonus.(best)Rep bonus.Run speed bonus.Unique, unobtainable elsewhere in any fashion, transmog, even....those are things that might make removing the bonus XP from heirlooms not sting as bad. It's still going to sting. There's no way it's not going to sting. Because no matter how "streamlined" new leveling is, you're still going to lose the bonus that heirlooms provided - which was, ultimately, to level faster than the average schmoe. Here's the problem, though. The Devs' justification for removing the bonus XP is so that the "divide" between older players (who presumably all have heirlooms) and new players (who presumably don't) is removed. That's their argument...and if they want to hold to that, we're not going to get anything at all that's worth anything at all, because that would be something older players have that new players don't.Like, seriously - either we're just getting screwed here (and getting nothing of value), or there's still going to be something of value that older players with heirlooms get that newer players without heirlooms don't get. Which means the "divide" is still there....and if the divide is still there anyway, let us keep our XP bonus.
