Fancy filter buttons do not make a tier list any more reliable or useful. I rather have a good ''B/C tier'' spec player than a bad ''A tier'' in my party. Stop doing these.
buff hunters
Ohwell, still gonna main survival no matter their ranking spot
Laughed so hard when they said Ele has "strong sustained single target"...like what? Its one of the weakest ST specs in the entire game, and has pretty terrible ST burst as well. Ele's sustained damage is far from strong, it just doesnt have high peaks or lows that are too low...but that doesnt mean its sustained ST is "strong", it just means it doesnt have lows like a venthyr boomie or Kyrian Arcane. Its literal only niche is burst AoE with Stormkeeper and then sustained AoE when playing the usual m+ build, running EoGS+Storm Ele. The only issue with running that build is your ST/Boss damage goes from one of the worst in the game(when playing full ST) to absolutely pathetic, abysmal ST dps. So on fights like Soulrender/P1+p2 Sylv/KT you have a niche...IF and only IF your guild needs someone to bring purely AoE damage for adds at the cost of them doing F tier boss damage. The problem is theres plenty of classes that can still do strong AoE whilst being FAR, FAR superior at putting out ST dps/boss damage, and that problem(for Ele) is only going to be made worse by the AoE cap changes, since Ele barely gains anything from the change(just your Storm Ele's ability "Eye of the storm" is going from 5>8+ targets). Theres already a handful of specs that can compete with Ele(or beat it...fire+frost mages/MM hunter/WW/Fury/Destro/Aff/venthyr boomie etc.) on overall AoE damage, and the AoE cap change significantly devalues the slight niche Ele had because now MANY specs will be able to compete with or do more AoE damage than Ele does. So the question will become...why choose to bring an Ele shaman? Mind you its not only one of the worst ST specs, but its one of the worst if not the outright worst 2 target/3target cleave specs as well. The fact they didnt do anything to help Ele maintain its ONLY slight niche in AoE, OR give it the significant ST/2 targ/3 targ cleave damage buffs it needs just means the spec will be largely dead for prog next tier and it will likely fall down the m+ ranks fairly significantly as well. So far went from Enhance to Ele the first two tiers and now it looks like its time to completely bench my shaman DPS...guess its just par for the course for shaman DPS though.
remember when stellar drift got changed and all the boomkins assured us they were ruined and blizz killed boomies?next time, do us all a favor and shut upand also, another tier where enhance, feral and survival are all #$%^. Blizz are you ever going to make them raid viable?
The fact that this guy puts detro above aff, shows how little he knows of current power rating. Aff might not beat demo in ST, but it's not far and superior in cleave/aoe fights. Also Aff is by far the best m+ spec with Seeds/NF legendary.
I really wish the struggle against toxicity and for inclusive gameplay (as much as I support it) would also mean getting rid of tier lists and other meta-describing texts, these things have come to put too much pressure on players over the recent expansions.Simply saying stuff like "meta doesn't matter for casual players" doesn't work at all, people simply want to be socially accepted and secure, and tier lists do not contribute to that at all. I would personally just leave this ratings for hardcore guilds' internal communications and make all other players free of this stress.
Arcane Mages are not A+ and Shadow Priests are not A-
...
Keep in mind that unless Wowhead and other websites did this kind of thing some specs would like never see any change or any balance.Enhancement for example is terrible and it's only B on raids. Imagine going to M+ w/ one. Can they perform? Absolutely. Are they lacking in M+ if they want to push high keys? 10001%.
