The Shadow Priest team is doing exceptional work, and this goes to show it. The sims, the sheets & videos that Pubik is pumping out and all the work you guys do together is excellent, and this rundown is proof of that. Thank you again!
Lead by Example - don't you get 5% main stat plus 2% per ally affected up to 4, so 13% in total?
What about the legendary Shdowflame prism?
So Necrolords it isstill having to wait for legy for the raid is garbage design what do i get first week
oh so necrolord for both holy and shadow priestinteresting, i couldn't decide where to put my priest anyway
Great guide !You seemed to have swapped a few legendaries in your analysis tho, as you give some contradictory statement quite a few times, writing a power is the best, then dismissing it (probably swapped tooltip of the legendary power).Other than that, I feel you're really undervaluing mind soothe. It really feels like one of the best new tool the class has access to for M+.
Clear and straight forward info.Thanks!
Other spec overviews: one or two prominent guide writers share their thoughtsShadow spec overview: the entire brain trust is here and they brought math
There's a few formatting issues with the post. I'm working to get them fixed.Haunting Apparitions and Dissonant Echoes are swapped around.Dissonant Echoes is better to slot first if you're talented into Hungering Void or . Haunting Apparitions is better to slot first if you're talented into Ancient Madness. For Legendaries, Eternal Call to the Void is our best Legendary. Painbreaker Psalm is supposed to be in the list above Talbadar's Stratagem. Additionally, Shadowflame Prism is missing, it's not worth taking though.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I'm terrible when it comes to figuring out what works best. I don't 'math'.
This guide contains great information, but there are parts that seem inconsistent or unclear. For example:
too bad the spec is @#$%ing %^&* again
Two more questions, regarding the "Talents" section:Row 15You write "Unfurling Darkness is the PvP talent for this row, due to its synergy with Damnation.". I can see that it is a PvP talent, but why do you write that it has a synergy with Damnation (the instant that applies all three dots on the target)? synergy would mean that Unfurling Darkness has any benefit from the other talent, but I can't see that being the case.Row 40"Psychic Link just doesn’t do enough damage and has counter synergy when talented into Searing Nightmare."Again the question regarding (counter)synergy, why do you see it that way? I haven't played a lot of shadow priest with the new rework, but I wouldn't think that Searing Nightmare and Mindblast (and by extension Psychic Link) compete with each other. You can't spam SN effectively because of the insanity cost, you'll get free Mindblast procs because of Dark Thoughts and you want to have Shadow Word Pain and Vampiric Touch on as many enemies as possible so that you're not losing out on damage, even in multitarget situations. I'd even say that it's a synergistic situation, because you can cast SN in between your Mindblasts.
