A better way to cherry pick. Great. WoW is saved....
The entire "M+ score" idea is incredibly broken, as others have pointed out repeatedly. The web API Blizzard provides is not designed to be used for this sort of thing, and indeed actively sabotages it (but people insist on instead using broken, incomplete data rather than just not doing it).For people who don't want to look at other comments, the two biggest problems are: (1) it's only a summation of score of all dungeons (meaning a crap run of a dungeon you haven't done this 'season' presents you as 'better' than doing a high-end run of a dungeon you've already done), and (2) the dataset is horridly incomplete (only includes runs which reach the leaderboards each week, biasing towards people who play early in the week and making it even more difficult to build a score from nothing). The result is it skews heavily towards time investment over other factors, and skews even harder towards people who explicitly are trying to increase their 'score' over any other goal.
Hmmm, i like it a lot, but this system, when i need update addon b4 playing is stupid af. On the other hand... I should be ok with quicklink where is score, logs and wowprofile. No more 930+ players who had 600k DPS overall if tank had about 1,1M overall DPS. #STOPCARRYINGCASUALS
Bump in case this weird promotion from Wowhead goes unnoticed. Oh wait... already several pages, mostly hating on it. For the life of me Wowhead surely knew that this kind of GearScore - esque AddOn and others of its dubious ilk would be hated on. Why Wowhead? Why did you promote this?

Hi all - Raider.IO programmer here. I wanted to stop in to say a few words.I've been reading lots and lots of feedback across various forums regarding our new AddOn. I wanted to make sure people were aware that we are here and we are listening, and that we want to find changes we can make to mold the AddOn into something that can facilitate fun for more people, rather than deny it.I personally play at a pretty "casual" level, and I would definitely like to avoid the type of PUG problems that have been mentioned here. We've tried to make it a point to include some features that are more casual friendly. For example, in our new AddOn we've made it so If you've linked your alt to your main on raider.io, then your Main's score will show on your alt -- that way people can easily tell that you've got a certain amount of M+ experience overall. Here's a few other things are currently investigating changing:
Great,as if m+ score wasn't retarded enough, now we get the m+ "gearscore" addon, there's no way this could go wrong at all, after all, gearscore did not ruin the community before, right? :DAt that point I'm just glad I only run m+ with guildies
It's going to lead to people being unfairly excluded if the party leader isn;t updating the addon regularly. Leader: "Sorry bro your score is too low"Applicant: "Bro, did you even update teh addon today?"This is engineered totally wrong. It should use a desktop app to pull the data, like TSM does.
You crybabies really don't understand the point.1) noone is gona check your m+ score for your +5ish dungeon, take it easy. (thats most commenters here)2) If you are low yourself, ppl with high m+ score wont join your group anyway. Helps to group up ppl with similar skills and knowledge.3) Nobody cares about ilvl as you can get 920+ in few days after levelin a character and 930+ on main is a must for everyone who plays this game. So M+ score if much better identificator if the player would be useless or not. Thanks RAIDER.IO guyz, we dont need to ALT+TAB and copy names now to check signed up people!
Mythic+ score is stupid.I don't farm it because I don't like it that much (and don't feel like it's necessary in any way now...), that doesn't mean I'm bad at it, you know ?Just another way to exclude players like me who only focus on mythic raids, even though we outgear (and outskill) most of theses mm+ runners ...
Hey Patch 4.0 called ... Gearscore wants their idea back :(
