But there already WAS a tanking legendary.
I think that if Blizzard ever does make a tanking legendary weapon, it will be done in a fashion like Atiesh was done. Where when you finish compiling the pieces, you receive a class specific quest that leads to the final stage of the weapon's creation.I see that as the only plausible way of Blizzard making a tanking legendary weapon and not having to resort to a necklace, ring, or trinket instead.
I just think that if it's a weapon and it's just for looks it should displayable on bears.Like a Bear Dual-Wielding Shields. That would be pretty epic.
I use healbot for the reason that i can heal using my mouse buttons + shift + ctrlEasy to config and so on
I Lol'd @ the healbot comment. *AWKWARD SILENCE*"...it's supposed to feel really really awesome....""you can't see it. You can't strap it on to yourself and walk around Orgrimmar..."Now, that is funny.
Know who REALLY need a legendary weapon? Feral druids. They're one of the few niches that has yet to get a legendary in the history of WoW (not counting the temporary TK legendaries).Thunderfury - Rogues, DPS/Tank warriors, TankadinsSulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros - Enhance shammies, Retadins, DPS warriorsAtiesh, Mages, Caster druids, Priests, LocksWarglaives - DPS warriors, RoguesThori'Dal - HuntersVal'Anyr - Resto shamans, healer Priests, Resto druids, HealadinsShadowmourne - DPS warriors, DKs (DPS and tank), RetadinsSo elemental shammies and ferals are the only specs that haven't gotten legendaries yet.
The best thing i can come up with as a possible tanking legendary would be a mace, and you could choose at some point if you want a 1-handed or a 2-handed version of the mace. (remember guys, druids can use 2-handed maces.) The problem with that would be that the damage mitigation of Death Knights and Druids is balanced around them using Str and Agi DPS weapons. Therefore if the legendary 2-handed mace would be itemised with tanking stats, it would give DKs and Druids a slight edge... and if it would be more of a DPS weapon in it's 2-handed form, then, well, the DPS might want to get it. Either way, i see a lot of forum QQ potential in this idea.
