Well, since I'd hate to be boring and post about my l337y epix threads drop again, I'll go with my SECOND most epic drop. Hint: it wasn't those two plates of exile that were my second and third world drop epics. It had to be my first Kara run...I had read the strats, knew the fights, and was expecting to act as filler for some friendly guilds since ours wasn't quite at that stage yet. After progressing through about half of Kara and being very happy with all the badges , we hit Curator. We'd been one-shotting the bosses, although Morose and Maiden nearly had given us some unhappy surprises . Incidentally, we also went on and took on the chess event, Shade, and Illhoof without much trouble. But the POINT is, Curator dropped the T4 glove token AND the Staff of Infinite Mysteries. I upgraded from the Staff of Terrokk AND got my Gloves of the Aldor from that fight, and was one very happy Mage...also happy that the lock didn't need the gloves, and the priests had better weapon setups. Lucky lineup, epic loot!
the most epic was today at VoH and i won the tank chest for my DK and the funny is that i was the only DK :D
Crown of Endless Knowledge off my second mob kill in Shadowmoon Valley way back in the good old days.
I'd have to say my most epic experience in WoW happened just a few days ago. A few of us were helping a guildmate complete the Amphitheater of Anguish so he could get his axe. Upon arriving, we saw a flagged troll shaman repeatedly killing a few flagged alliance players who seemed to have no intentions of dropping out of pvp mode despite being destroyed everytime. It wasn't our battle and we weren't flagged, so we didn't really care. Around that time, about 3 more horde showed up and flagged. That was around the time we started our turns in the Amphitheater. It appeared they just wanted to grief, because they kept taunting the mob and trying to pull it out. However, I just taunted back and we went on with our business, despite being annoyed. Around that time, the troll shaman dropped some totems really close by and my boyfriend accidentally hit it. When that happened, we just gave it up and ripped into them, totally and utterly slaughtering them. Once was enough for us, but they came back again and lost yet again. Thinking they had been smart enough to quit, we proceeded with Vlad the Butcher. At about that time, the Blood Elf DK, Blood Elf Paladin, and Troll Shaman roll up again and start fighting us while we continue our fight with Vlad. About that time, they annhilate the warrior we're helping, so while my boyfriend pulls aggro and goes into frost presence on his DK, I jump out and Battle Rez the warrior while the horde try to beat on our druid healer. Then I go back to tanking and we all contribute to killing them while still going through the process of doing our own battle. In the end, they lost again and we had finished the battle with only the one casualty. It made all of us feel pretty epic.
My most epic loot would have to be my Winterspring Frostsaber after many hours of grinding rep before they nerfed that grind (to the group, baby).
http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=2059Killing some random quest mobs, level 30 something, this drops."Oh awesome, this is better than my current one!" hey guy check out this cloak I got! please tell me you didn't put it on.. it sells for like 100g+.ME:] . . ..................Much /lol-ing at me ensued by guildies.
To be honest? When I got my Amani War Bear! I ... I just loves bears.I've always had a love for bears, teddy and the like, and as soon as I found out Amani were going out of print I was swept away in a river of panic. As I lay on the bank of stupefied expressions, I became filled with determination. I ran Heroics, I got my hit and spell damage up, this Warlock would not cease until she had her own fuzzy wuzzy! But still ... It wasn't good enough ... I tossed my name in the hat of raids, heart pounding. The day before the final patch, I sat quietly outside the gates of Zul'Aman, my Blood Elf looking wistfully over the decimated plains of her former homeland. I heard a tiny "ding" in my speakers, and lo'n'behold ... someone couldn't make a raid. I wasn't good enough but I was there! Convenience, apparently, won over logic and common sense. I offered to find a way to compensate them for their loss, but they refused.I hopped on my Frostwolf and waited for my cue, rushing inside to throw whatever I could at whatever could take it. Then it came time, the big boy, I looked at him in awe as they set up, yelling at me in Vent to get off my butt (which I did bashfully). In a moment it was over, they were going about their business and I stood there, waiting, holding my breath. The item came up, and they ceremoniously handed it to me. They had theirs, and gave me mine. A selfless act towards someone they barely knew existed on the server. Someone whose DPS was small in comparison to their experienced epics, but somehow was worthy, and I think of them every day for that. I am no cheapskate, and am a happy little grateful carebear (pun intended), and I did my best to make good on their losses, even if I did come up short. Awesome people are awesome :D. They make for the most epic time in WoW ever!
The most epic item I got is my companion pet "Toothy" from the Daily Fishing near Shattrath City. What makes it speciel you might ask.. LOOK AT IT! Its soooo cute! http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=33816
I was 70 and doing quests in Eastern Kingdoms, back before it was cool to do old quests in Eastern Kingdoms when I picked up http://www.cuckhead.com/?quest=706. I figured it wouldn't be hard to kill the dragons and whelps since I was 70 and could just shadow bolt them quickly. Much to my chagrin, I was on my third pass through the subzone and still no http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=4612 (Black Drake's Heart). It was about my fourth or fifth pass that I said "One more pass and I'm done. This isn't worth it." So near the end of the "last pass" I looted a whelp and I almost jumped out of my chair. No, the http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=4612 (Black Drake's Heart) didn't drop, but I was now the owner of the http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=10822 (Dark Whelpling)
