im sorry, love pelagos but this is creepy ugly catholic saint vibes Y_Y
Honestly I would have chosen the Accuser just because she really fits the post perfectly. But yeah, Pelagos is probably the most humble, pure and least judgmental person we met in Shadowlands and all those are great traits for the Arbiter.Crappy job though.
what a pointless and ridiculous idea. still dissopoints me to see what is blizzard doing with lore.
they're really sticking with doing that to the helm of domination
blizz out here making the main character from "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" literally God.
I'm sure we will get some lore behind this when 9.2 release, maybe no one else was up to the task cause I mean look how it turned out with Zovaal, some probably scared they were gonna repeat his fate
But it's white... doesn't really check all the equality boxes
Not quite sure how one of the worst characters in the whole of Shadowlands story gets to be one of the most important being for all of Shadowlands. He failed absolutely at everything during the quests.Another question is, why did they take his model for the Arbiter, instead of keeping it mysterious like the previous one, it would have been a way better choice. I dont know why, but it feels somewhat creepy.
I actually love Pelagos as the Arbiter. I'm guessing people read other people mentioning he's trans and never actually looked at his character at all.I'm not sure what Kyrian players are talking about when they say he was a "nobody" for the Kyrians. That's not true at all. He's quite important to the Kyrian storyline, involved with nearly every Kyrian campaign quest. In it, he goes with us to the other zones to repair the Seal of Ascension, meeting people from every covenant. He learns about every covenant's role in the Shadowlands, why they fight, and why they have gone astray. His story also revolves around the fact that he was sent to Bastion, but couldn't ascend as a Kyrian for some reason, while still having a greater purpose. People angry that he's trans can just chill out. Unless you talk to him to read his gossip text where he mentions he had a female form in life, you would never know. That's literally the only mention of it. It's not even the most important part of his character. The only people who shove it down other people's throats are the people that are angry about it, talking on fansites like this. He's just a compassionate guy who has the form in death that he wanted, that happened to be a male form. That should not take away from his character at all. Representation is fine, and Pelagos barely counts as representation.Besides, the only other real choices were Sylvanas as a redemption arc, or Uther - both of which haven't been entirely compassionate until the end of the last patch during the Shadowlands story. I'd much rather have a character who understands the Shadowlands as well as compassion for other people, considering the fact that the last two Arbiters had *no* compassion. It would also be bad writing to reward Sylvanas with the thing she wanted in the first place after everything she did in recent expansions.
They really did just pull a Yrel again but on an even more insane stupid level. Pelagos couldn’t even “ascend” proper for his own realm and he’s now the arbiter? What? Literally how has he gone from barely even able to fighting on his own to judge of all souls this quickly? Had he had far more development I think this would be fine but my god, there are at least a dozen others with better qualifications than him at this point.
Does this model mean that this is how Jailer originally looked like? :D
I still don't get how you go from aspirant to arbitrator of souls in a cosmic blink of an eye. Other than a construct, no one was really going to fit as a replacement but this makes so little sense. /shrug
